Once known as Dune: The Sisterhood, the Max streaming series Dune: Prophecy, which serves as a prequel to the Dune feature films directed by Denis Villeneuve, started filming in November of 2022, then underwent quite a shake-up in 2023 when the director of the first two episodes, Johan Renck (who executive produced and directed all five episodes of the HBO limited series Chernobyl) decided to leave the project over creative issues, then Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) – who had been cast as one of the show’s lead characters – followed him out the door. Everything has been worked out since then, with Dune: Prophecy on track for a fall 2024 premiere. To start building the hype, Max just unveiled a teaser trailer for the show, and you can check it out in the embed above!

Will someone from the 118 get something they didn’t expect, like a rose, in 9-1-1 Season 7? Not necessarily, but anything is possible with the first responder’s crossover with ABC‘s long-running dating show, The Bachelor. What we do know: It’s not just the mansion appearing! “We actually have some folks that were actually on The Bachelor,” 9-1-1 star Aisha Hinds (who plays Hen) tells TV Insider. “I think their fans and our fans will be very excited to see us mashing up together.” While we’ll have to wait to learn more about what to expect when the 118 shows up at the mansion, Hinds had fun filming the episode. “That was exciting to shoot,” she shares. “Obviously The Bachelor has its own fandom, and that was really neat to kind of experience entering their territory, shooting on their set. We were over at the Bachelor mansion,...

Sean Bean has no clue whatsoever about the ending of HBO’s Game of Thrones. He led the first season as the Lord of Winterfell before getting his head cut off in the ninth episode. Since then, he never followed the story of the series.
HBO’s Game of Thrones
Season 8 was, indeed, the most controversial and critically panned installment of the famed fantasy show. Fans blamed showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for the lackluster plot and anticlimactic finale that apparently ruined the franchise.
Sean Bean Didn’t Keep Up With Game Of Thrones
Sean Bean once spoke with The Times and was asked about his opinion on the season finale’s ending. Surprisingly, he does not know what happened. In turn, he asked the interviewer what took place in the show.
The actor did not keep up with the hype after his character’s poor fate in the first season.

Look up "exquisite" in the dictionary, and you may see a picture of veteran actress Aisha Hinds.
The multi-talented Hinds has a lengthy filmography and most recently has spent six (soon to be seven) seasons on the primetime hit drama 9-1-1.
Heading into its seventh chapter, Hinds' Hen Wilson remains a mainstay amongst the colorful characters that protect the City of Angels in their roles as first responders. And there's no slowing Hen down ever, especially in this much anticipated new chapter.
Talking to Hinds is like talking to the warmest person you can imagine. She is incredibly kind and endearing and keenly understands 9-1-1's deep importance and how it resonates with fans.
This delightful conversation touched on everything from Hen's 9-1-1 Season 7 arc to the power of Henren, and perhaps the biggest emergency 9-1-1 has ever tackled. Enjoy this one, 9-1-1 fanatics!

There’s controversy and then there’s comic book movie controversy. While usually its concerning something more lighthearted like the internet losing their minds over some kind casting decision, we sometimes get the darker stuff. Like “shifting an entire studio’s heirarchy” level of craziness. From reported verbal abuse to alleged threatening of careers to a miserable Ben Affleck, there’s a lot of bad that came from Warner’s 2017 film. So today on DC Revisited, we’re diving into the moustache removing and tone lightening of Joss Whedon’s Justice League.
If you think other films in the DC lineup have had controversy then you haven’t seen anything yet because the stuff that goes on here is absolutely nuts. But I should state outright: we’ll deal with the Snyder Cut and all of that surrounded that in a future video. For now, we’ll just focus on the original filming period,...

In the very early days of prestige television, a series appeared (some say it began the prestige era) that gave us a glimpse of what the future would hold. That series was "Rome," the story of the rise and fall of Julius Caesar (Ciarán Hinds) and the romance and death of Mark Antony (James Purefoy) and Cleopatra (Lyndsey Marshal). The series was gorgeous and full of rich historical detail, and the performances were spectacular.
The series, which ran from 2005-2007, came to us from John Milius, William J. MacDonald, and Bruno Heller. It nabbed talented actors like Hinds, Purefoy, Marshal, Lindsay Duncan, Polly Walker, Tobias Menzies, Kevin McKidd, and the late Ray Stevenson. It won a Director's Guild award, seven Primetime Emmy Awards, and quite a number of others.

“Game of Thrones” consistently landed multiple nominations for its eclectic cast, with Tyrion Lannister actor Peter Dinklage earning the most out of his costars with eight nominations and four wins. Now, the prequel show “House of the Dragon” may take over that mantle with several players from that show competing for Emmy bids this season. However, the ghost of “Thrones” remains with many alumni in the running for other shows this year. Let’s take a closer look at a half dozen who we predict are the likeliest to hear their names on Emmy nominations morning.

Ciarán Hinds is opening up about the great number of sex scenes the HBO series Game of Thrones had and weighed in on intimacy coordinators on set.
The actor who played the character of Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, in the medieval fantasy epic was not a fan of the amount of sex the show featured.
“I was rather put off by the amount of sexuality that was going on in it, because it was taking away from the actual political storytelling,” he told The Independent in an interview. “But that’s business, I guess, from their perspective.”
In the same interview, Hinds also talked about intimacy coordinators on the sets of television shows that help ensure actors feel safe shooting a sex scene and facilitating dialogue with the production.
While having a conversation with his actor daughter Aoife Hinds, Hinds said, “I was asking her [about intimacy coordinators] because it seems to me strange.

Ciarán Hinds is speaking out on the amount of sex in “Game of Thrones.”
Following the infamous criticisms on nudity and sex portrayed in the hit HBO series, Hinds admitted that he was “rather put off” by just how much sex was shown.
“I was rather put off by the amount of sexuality that was going on in it, because it was taking away from the actual political storytelling,” Hinds told The Independent. “But that’s business, I guess, from their perspective.”
Hinds portrayed Mance Rayder, aka the King Beyond the Wall, from Season 3 to Season 5. The “Belfast” actor is now set to appear in Season 2 of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.”
“Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” went out of its way to distance itself from the original series, based on George R.R. Martin’s novels.

Ciarán Hinds has admitted that he had reservations about appearing in Game of Thrones due to the amount of sex scenes.
The Irish actor starred in HBO’s fantasy epic as Mance Rayder, a former member of the Knight’s Watch later known as the “King Beyond the Wall”.
In a new interview with The Independent, Hinds opened up about his time on the show, in which he appeared across three seasons from 2013 to 2015.
Hinds said that, despite the series being a huge hit, he was in two minds about taking on the role due to its excessive explicit content.
“I was rather put off by the amount of sexuality that was going on in it because it was taking away from the actual political storytelling,” he told The Independent.
“But that’s business, I guess, from their perspective.”

Behind some bins – big wheelie ones down an alley on Dublin’s Northside – a man and a woman, both oldish, are coupling frantically. Their al fresco pleasure is interrupted when they are spotted by the man’s daughter, who’s just come out of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
“It’s not what it looks like, Shiv,” explains her flustered father, as he makes himself decent while the woman, short and of Asian heritage, with cropped silver hair, yanks up her tights.
“It looks like an old Irish man f***in’ a woman behind some bins,” she says.
This delicious scene is from The Dry, a daffy eight-part tragicomedy previously on Britbox, now coming to Itvx. The old man is played, with all his baffled hangdog charm, by Ciarán Hinds, who is 70. If many a Western captures the sweeping romance of America’s land rush — idealizing a time when seizing one’s future involved planting a literal flag — then “The English” serves as a bright red rebuttal; a revisionist take among the modern era’s various reconsiderations, this time emphasizing the tears, sweat, and oh-so-much-blood required to reach the dream awaiting colonizers somewhere west of the Mississippi.
Writer-director Hugo Blick (“The Honorable Woman”) still embraces traditional elements of the genre, centering his six-part Prime Video series around a rhapsodic love story and capturing plenty of vast prairies in picturesque, sun-kissed shots. But it’s the edge carved into every corner of “The English” that helps the limited series stand out. From the cutting dialogue to its jagged mystery, Blick’s latest story finds consistent success not by drawing pained parallels between past and present but by astutely acknowledging the ferocity ingrained in America’s identity all along.

As presented in Hugo Blick’s new Amazon limited series The English, the Old West was a dangerous place: a collection of breathtaking vistas connected by trauma from horrifying massacres, in which disease-ridden, testicle-eating outlaws sold their services to the highest bidder and the only currency more valuable than acreage was revenge. No place for a woman, but no place for a man either.
In short, The English is a revisionist Western, but the revision focuses on brutality in a way countless revisionist Westerns have done before — which may well be the series’ point. If Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood and their myriad imitators built a body of work tweaking the artificiality of the John Ford Western, Blick has built his series tweaking the artificiality of the revisionist Western. It looks like Fox’s 9-1-1 fans are about to get an episode focusing on Athena and Bobby with season six episode three. Hopefully, the episode will also devote a little time to revealing Hen’s decision about which career path to follow. “The Devil You Know” will air on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 8pm Et/Pt.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Aisha Hinds talked about Hen’s predicament. “This episode puts Hen in a position where she’s forced to grapple with questions that don’t always come with an index card that has the answer on it. She has to ask herself, ‘Am I going to try again? Am I going to stay with the department? Am I gonna make decisions that are better for me and my family, and me being present with them?’ These are big questions and big choices that she’s gonna have to make.

David Bruckner's feature adaptation of Clive Barker's 1986 novella "The Hellbound Heart" brings forth a new Pinhead, the leatherbound nail-studded horror icon formerly popularized by Doug Bradley. Written by "The Night House" scribes Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski from a story developed with David S. Goyer, "Hellraiser" stays true to themes raised in Barker's original 1987 adaptation while offering a new iteration of the soul-harvesting Pinhead, played by Jamie Clayton.
Clayton struck friendships on and off the set, often hanging out with co-star Aoife Hinds, previously known for her role on BBC Three/Hulu drama miniseries "Normal People." In "Hellraiser" Hinds is one of several loved ones in the crosshairs of the Cenobites due to her proximity to Riley, who fiddles with the shiny death box and wreaks havoc on everyone. When she meets Clayton's Priest, it's as pleasant as a meeting with Pinhead can go; still, Clayton had difficulty...

As we revealed earlier this year, the film will tell the story of world-renowned journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya (Peake), who went from being a local print journalist to braving the Chechen killing fields and exposing Russian state corruption under Vladimir Putin. She refused to give up reporting on the war in Chechnya despite numerous acts of intimidation and violence, including being poisoned. She was ultimately murdered in the elevator of her block of flats and it remains unclear who paid for the contract killing.
