Amazon Prime Video’s original series The Family Man, season 2, which was set to be released on 12th February 2021 will now be released later this year.
In a recent social media post, the directors Raj and Dk, have confirmed that the next chapter of Srikant’s story will be out this summer.
The Amazon Original Series features an impressive star cast Samantha Akkineni, Priyamani and Manoj Bajpayee, along with incredible talent from across India, including Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha and Mahek Thakur.
With a multi-layered narrative, the sequel of the action spy thriller marks the return of India’s favourite Family Man, Srikant Tiwari, played brilliantly by Manoj Bajpayee. The Family Man is edgy with a touch of wry humour that draws from real incidents. This time Srikant, who if you remember, is a secret agent. While struggling...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched Season 1, Episode 5 of Disney Plus’ “WandaVision.”
First things first — and truly heed that spoiler warning, because we’re diving right into the deep end — it would appear that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision’s (Paul Bettany) adventures through television have ripped open a tear in the multiverse. What else are we to make of the sudden appearance of Evan Peters as Pietro Maximoff?
That’s right, the actor who played the other Quicksilver in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “X-Men: Apocalypse” and “Dark Phoenix” — movies that are not supposed to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — has stepped into the role previously played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The power that has! The influence that has! The cosmic implications that has!

Updated with launch taking effect. Modern Family, which wrapped its highly decorated, 11-season network run last year, is embarking on a significant new streaming chapter via a shared deal with Peacock and Hulu.
Starting today, all 250 episodes of the Emmy-laden sitcom are available on both services after years of only having a limited batch of episodes on Hulu.
Indications from the deal announcement on January 26 are that the go-go streaming market remains in full effect. Sources familiar with the terms said the multi-year acquisition price stretched well into nine figures, consistent with healthy rates for recent half-hours such as Friends, The Office and Seinfeld. Prices have been driven steadily higher by the entry of several new billion-dollar players into the streaming fray in the past year.

“Ted Lasso” co-creator Bill Lawrence is just happy to be working, let alone have his heartwarming Apple TV+ comedy snag a pair of (well-deserved) Golden Globe nominations.
“We’re all so grateful for the gig, dude, that if anyone nominates you for anything you have to be happy about it,” Lawrence told TheWrap on Wednesday. “It’s very cool, unexpected, not anything we were angling for.”
He’s also perfectly happy with the first season of “Ted Lasso” being in the company of “Schitt’s Creek’s” acclaimed final season, which may be his stiffest competition in the Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy category.
The man behind “Scrubs” called the Levy Family (we’re including honorary members and fellow deserving nominees Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy in that) sitcom “endearingly charming and buoyant and upbeat” — adjectives that certainly apply to “Ted Lasso” as well.
“I don’t mind at all...

February may be the shortest month, but that doesn’t mean streaming services can ignore their duty to entertain us at all times. In that mission, Netflix is making a decent effort in February 2021. This isn’t the most jam-packed month the major streamer has trotted out just yet but there are plenty of new originals to get the job done.
Netflix has a few original series of note this month. The party begins with Kid Cosmic on Feb. 2. This animated series is a comic-tinged adventure from Craig McCracken, creator of the Powerpuff Girls. That’s followed by the Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl-starring Firefly Lane on Feb. 3 and Behind Her Eyes on Feb. 17. Perhaps the biggest sleeper this month, however, is Tribes of Europa. This post-apocalyptic adventure series premieres on Feb. 19.

This season of the dark comedy features a new ensemble cast and storylines set in 1949 that will explore what it means to be beautiful, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world, the effects of being ignored and overlooked by society, and finally, the lengths one woman will go in order to finally belong.
Tolman will play Alma, a timid and awkward housewife, who remains optimistic in the face of the world’s cruelty. Alma yearns for a spot in the local garden club and to see her ungainly daughter married, but her life is disrupted once she learns of her husband’s secret hobby.

September is nearly upon us, which means that Netflix will be adding a whole host of new movies and TV shows to their content library on the first day of the month, as they continue to assert their dominance over the competition in the streaming wars. If anything, the company could do with the focus shifting to pre-existing titles after finding themselves in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently.
As well as the huge backlash that greeted the controversial first poster for French coming-of-age drama Cuties, Netflix drew criticism after canceling popular shows I Am Not Okay With This and The Society despite previously announcing that both had been renewed for second seasons, while Altered Carbon was also axed in what looks to be just the latest in a long line of cost-cutting measures.

I think when everyone first heard of this upcoming book, they were both intrigued and confused. Three Jokers? Say what now? That’s to say nothing of the fact that the tease has been going on for 4 years or so, ever since Justice League #50. Is there literally three Joker’s? Three in the sense of three personalities in the same body? Three across three realities? It is both an odd concept and yet one that makes perfect sense. The representations of The Joker have changed through the years after all. Sometimes an unrepentant psychopath, happy as Larry to murder everyone in his path. Sometimes literally a ‘joker’, happy to set traps and games, and sometimes a tragic, sad figure beaten down by life until reborn this way. Johns has seized on something that has always been there...

An election season is fast-approaching in the U.S. So for its new releases in September 2020, Amazon Prime is bringing back one of its most political shows.
The Boys season 2 premieres its first three episodes on September 4. Though the show on its face is a superhero story, viewers of season 1 will know it’s really about America’s troubling embrace of entertainment with fascism. Sounds fun and not at all terrifying right before a presidential election!
That’s not the only bleak Amazon original on the schedule for September. British TV adaptation Utopia arrives on September 25. This Gillian Flynn-produced series follows fans of a comic book who believe it predicts…world-ending pandemics. Darn it. Amazon’s only original film this month is a…documentary about voter suppression from Liz Garbus called All In: The Fight for Democracy. Yikes.

One summer in the late 1980s, when Eli Frankel was about 15, his father gave him a gift. An active part of the 1960s counterculture, the elder Frankel thought his teenage son should be reading more, so one day he brought him Helter Skelter, the 1972 true-crime bestseller about Charles Manson. Written by Vincent Bugliosi, the L.A. County deputy district attorney who had put the cult leader and several of his followers on death row, the tome — clocking in at almost 700 pages — set out the narrative the prosecutor had put in place during the trial: Manson,...

When “Modern Family” premiered in 2009, the mockumentary-style family sitcom was an instant hit, one that would forever alter the fabric of the television landscape. At the time, it seemed water cooler discussion of primetime television had gone the way of the radio, but — much like that other medium — it came roaring back. While Sofia Vergara’s Gloria waltzed her way into the hearts of gay men and lesbians for wildly different reasons, it was Cameron and Mitchell’s loving relationship that made Lgbtq viewers feel truly seen and represented.
Played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, seeing a loving (and bickering) gay couple on primetime was a revelation. Without downplaying the strides made by “Will & Grace,” “Modern Family” was the first time a major network had shown a long-term, committed queer relationship — and with two of its leading characters. Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about the season-finale episode of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. While it wasn’t the planned ending, tonight’s Season 16 finale of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, written by Mark Driscoll and Tameson Duffy and directed by Deborah Pratt, was fitting. Indeed, this season was cut short due to the halting of production in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The production shutdown was is the second major curveball for the show this season after original cast member Justin Chambers’ abrupt exit. It’s official! CBS All Access’ “The Good Fight” — the spinoff of CBS’s vaunted “The Good Wife” — has fully come into its own for Season 4, with its sometimes jarring medley of tones and moods and speculative forms resisting straightforward classification. It’s actually one its key strengths — yes, the series has a ripped-from-the-headlines quality about it, and it goes all in on what’s happening presently, maybe like no other drama currently on air — but it feels like the most vibrant, innovative response that TV has offered to the pandemonium unleashed on public life by President Donald J. Trump and his administration. Formulaic legal drama, “The Good Fight” definitely is not.
At the end of the third season, the so-called #Resistance went bonkers, as Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) tried to make sense of whether you can resist a crazy administration without going crazy yourself, while Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo...

After 11 seasons and a wagon full of Emmys, the series finale of the popular sitcom jumped to a 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, its best number since its September 2018 season premiere. It netted 7.43 million viewers, good for the show’s largest viewership in three years.
ABC led into the finale with A Modern Farewell, while the premiere of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, with host Jimmy Kimmel, served as the final answer to ABC’s night. The network finished second overall in both ratings and viewership.

In its second week back on TV, Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be returning to its original 11:35 Pm time slot but there is a twist. On March 31st, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially leave the British Royal Family.
Much digital ink has been spilled about the circumstances surrounding Harry and Meghan’s decision, and the reported fallout between the newlyweds and the Queen, but this past weekend it emerged that Meghan already has an eye on her next gig: a role in a future superhero movie.
Mail Online (h/t Cbm) brings word that the Duchess hopes to become “part of an ensemble cast” in an upcoming superhero movie, and has informed her agent that she’s “open to the best offers.”
Take this all with a grain of salt, as the Daily Mail isn’t exactly known for its measured, authentic reporting. Nevertheless, a return to the world of acting is certainly a viable option, given Markle’s previous experience in Suits, along with her movie credits – namely Horrible Bosses, Dater’s Handbook,...

“The Bachelor” benefited from a strong Live+Same Day performance to jump up one place in the Live+3 TV ratings chart.
The Feb. 17 episode of the ABC dating show grew to a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 after three days of delayed viewing, meaning it was beaten only by “The Masked Singer” and “This Is Us.”

On the total viewers front, “NCIS” grew its audience by a little less than usual in Live+3, but still came out on top 14.5 million. “This Is Us” ended up with almost exactly 10 million pairs of eyeballs, around 400,000 fewer than its season 4 average so far.

Netflix is looking to create more transparency and dispel some of the myths around working with the streaming giant as it ramps up its European operations, though the company’s fast-paced shooting schedules are “not for everyone,” director of international originals Rachel Eggebeen said Tuesday morning at the Berlinale Series Market.
“It’s a fast pace that we work at,” she said. “Once we commission a show, we commit to it. We’re all in, we need partners that are all in, and we go.”
Eggebeen appeared in conversation with a group of leading European TV creators to discuss the realities of producing for the Los Gatos-based streaming service. The panel, moderated by Variety‘s international editor Manori Ravindran, featured writer-producer Laura Buffoni, producer-writer Jantje Friese, producer Meta Soerensen, producer Fatima Varhos, and writer-producer Anna Winger.

While rumours of a Tron reboot featuring Suicide Squad‘s Jared Leto have been circulating since 2017, we may finally have some fresh, new intel about the mysterious sci-fi project.
That’s right, according to sources close to We Got This Covered – the same ones who told us Hopper would be back for Stranger Things season 4 and about Han’s return in Fast & Furious 9, both of which have now been officially confirmed – we’re hearing that the upcoming follow-up will be more of a spinoff than a full-blown reboot. Additionally, the working title that the studio is currently using internally is Tron: Ares. Whether this will be the official title going forward, though, we’re not entirely sure.
Furthermore, our sources tell us that the Oscar-winning Jared Leto is now officially attached to the project and that he’ll play the titular character, Ares, who the film will distinctly focus on.

Fox has some big decisions to make as we look towards the 2020-21 TV season.
The network is well-known for cutting popular shows, but it will be exciting to see what decisions they make in the coming months.
Fox is starting to lean towards more unscripted content, and given the success of The Masked Singer and WWE Friday Night Smackdown, don't expect that to change.
That makes it difficult to exist as a marginally-rated scripted original series on the network.
Let's take a look at how the current scripted shows are performing and how their results bode for additional episodes and beyond.
9-1-1: Lone Star - Certain Renewal
9-1-1: Lone Star Season 1 is averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the demo.
Those ratings include a highly-inflated premiere, so look for the show to come down to levels on par with its parent series in the coming weeks.

RuPaul‘s Saturday Night Live hosting debut was far from a total drag.
To his credit, the Emmy-winning Drag Race emcee was a highly enthusiastic host, whose energy was apparent throughout the broadcast. The sketches, though, were just middling. Episode 2 of “The Masked Singer” started out on the right note. After the dulcet tones of the Llama came the little Miss Monster. And that one-eyed furry creature continued to amaze. “People say you can’t do it, so why try?” she stated in her clues package. The panel once again referred to her as “legendary” after the one-eyed pink wonder belted out the Bobby Gentry song “Fancy” (watch above).

Where can you meet likeminded UFO and paranormal enthusiasts from around the world? Check out these conventions.
At most comic cons and fan events, one expects to run into people dressed as supernatural entities, extraterrestrials, and mysterious creatures. But at paranormal, cryptozoology, and ufology events, fans are discussing the existence of them – and often gather to actively go looking for them.
And as much as I move about in the world of comic cons, for the past decade or so, I have spent weekends traveling the world to talk as a journalist and researcher about ghosts, demons, curses, aliens, UFO, and monsters. During the day, the world of paracons closely resembles most fan events, and there is quite a bit of cross-pollination between them. There are panels, vendor rooms, and signings by notable authors, television personalities, and occasionally actors from paranormal pop culture. Fast & Furious 9 – or F9, as they seem to be calling it now – is heading to theaters later this year and Universal wants to make sure that everyone knows.
Indeed, after a prolonged period of radio silence, the floodgates really opened this week. Be it teasers, character posters and even the first full-length trailer, the studio’s unleashed a ton of promo material on us over the past few days, but they aren’t done yet. Given that the Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year, and F9 will probably be one of the biggest films of the year – at least, in terms of scope and scale – it only makes sense for Universal to deliver yet another look at the movie during the game and that’s exactly what they did earlier tonight.

101 Studios closed a deal to fully finance and globally distribute a feature film about the Pulitzer Prize winner David Armstrong’s efforts to uncover and reveal the truth behind the deception and misdeeds by the makers of OxyContin..
The film will be written and directed by the award-winning, husband-wife filmmakers Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly (Beneath The Harvest Sky). 101 Studios and Marquee Entertainment’s Linda McDonough will produce and finance the film. David Glasser, David Hutkin and Bob Yari will executive produce.
Armstrong was originally working on a feature about the Sacklers, one of the richest families in America. At the time, very few people knew anything about them-including that they were the sole owners of Purdue Pharma. Over a four-year investigation, he discovered evidence that, in order to maximize their profits, members of the Sackler family knew of and supported Purdue’s concealment of the strength and addiction risks of the drug OxyContin.

It may be the shortest month of the year – even in 2020, given the leap year and all that – but February sees a truckload of fresh content releasing via Netflix.
Subscribers have come to expect an assortment of Netflix originals, age-old classics, and binge-worthy TV dramas, and February 2020 is no different. From Blade Runner to Dirty Harry to the second season of Altered Carbon, there’s truly something for everyone.
Eager to indulge in a little nostalgia? Then allow us to point you in the direction of Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution, the long-anticipated remake of the 1998 classic, in which Ash Ketchum, Misty, and Brock uncover a dangerous ploy to clone Pokémon. Look for that one to premiere via Netflix on February 27th.
Closer to home, we have the entire Police Academy franchise, and the recently-released A Bad Moms Christmas (though exactly why Netflix has waited until February to drop...
