What's it like to fall in love with someone over and over again every single day? Alexis Bledel and Zachary Levi can tell you -- it's the premise of their new Hallmark movie "Remember Sunday."
The film tells the story of Gus (Levi), a man who lost his short-term memory in an accident and finds himself repeatedly falling in love with Molly (Bledel).
"There's a lot of heart in it, which I would hope you would find in a Hallmark movie. That's what they're about ... appealing to people and where they are in life, and those kinds of themes that are very common -- not common as in boring, but common as in we all share them," Levi told The Huffington Post. "And while we don't all share short-term memory loss, we do all share love, relationships and struggling through issues that may be unique."

Ah, the TV movie. That last bastion of campy shlock and overly sentimental schmaltz that allows out of work TV actors the chance to return to the medium that made them a star. But what is a fan of the camp to do when two air on the same night? How does one choose? With Sunday night's (April 21) traffic jam of "Lovestruck: The Musical" on ABC Family and "Remember Sunday" on ABC, only one can claim victory and earn your attention in 2013's first Battle of the TV Movie.
Zap2It had the opportunity to screen both films prior to their premieres and, judging them head-to-head in four categories, we're ready to declare a winner. (Warning: The following contains minor spoilers. If you're not into that sort of thing -- stop reading now.)

Rory Gilmore is growing up.
That may be hard for "Gilmore Girls" devotees to deal with, especially since the mother-daughter drama remains evident in repeats on both ABC Family and SoapNet, but Alexis Bledel is offering confirmation that time marches on. Seen last year in several episodes of AMC's acclaimed "Mad Men," the former Rory returns to television in ABC's new Hallmark Hall of Fame drama "Remember Sunday," airing Sunday, April 21.
The New Orleans-set tale casts the actress as lovelorn waitress Molly, who wants to be a florist and becomes interested in jewelry store clerk Gus (portrayed by television's former "Chuck," Zachary Levi).
However, she remains a virtual stranger to him since he can't recall what happened the day before, the result of a brain aneurysm. She begins to take his forgetfulness personally until she learns the reason, then commits herself -- temporarily, at least -- to renewing their relationship...

This Sunday, ABC will air Hallmark Hall of Fame's Remember Sunday, a new TV movie starring Zachary Levi and Alexis Bledel. But you should be warned that save for the title (and an inherent wholesomeness), Remember Sunday is not your average Hallmark movie.
Written by Oscar-winning Rain Man screenwriter Barry Morrow, Remember Sunday feels totally contemporary as it chronicles the blossoming and wilting relationship between free-spirit Molly and Gus, a handsome jeweler with a big secret: an accident rendered him incapable of forming new memories. So Gus is forced to rely on some frustratingly unreliable means to keep Molly fresh in his mind. ETonline caught up with Alexis and Zachary at last night's premiere for a quick round of Five Questions!
ETonline: Alexis, what attracted you to this character?
Alexis Bledel: I really cared about what happened to the characters, and that's rare with any script. I instantly felt a connection to Molly and was...

Two cable TV series received good news today: ABC Family renewed comedy "Baby Daddy" for Season 3 before Season 2 has even premiered, and VH1 ordered an additional seven episodes of weekly talk show "The Jenny McCarthy Show."
"Baby Daddy" Season 2 premieres May 29 but filming has already wrapped on the upcoming batch of episodes and ABC Family is apparently excited enough about what they've seen to move forward with more.
McCarthy's show, which premiered Feb. 8, will take a one week break on April 5 before new episodes resume April 12.
More bite-sized TV news:
- Carla Gugino ("Political Animals") is giving network TV another shot as the female lead of ABC's legal pilot "Doubt" starring Steve Coogan from executive producer David Shore ("House").
- Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek ("Damages") has booked a three episode arc on Season 2 of Cinemax's "Banshee" as renegade FBI agent Jim Racine. [TVLine]
