Jeez, what a show!

From the first time I laid my eyes on Mad Men (when it won those Emmys and Globes in 2007) I knew something big was about to come out - and when it came to my television (now, 2009... you can see the difference) my expectations weren't lowered. On the contrary - from the noirish intro, its catch theme, slow paced direction, still photography and retro costumes to the originality of the story and historical accuracy it represents, it all comes down to one of the best television has ever done - it is better than a normal show, it is not a mini-series and hell, it's way well done, contrasting to the recent released movies.

The plot is simple, but the details are complex. Year 1960, an advertising agency and the story of one of the most powerful employees: Don Draper. It could be a soap opera, if only it didn't show history, drama and dialog with a perfection worthy of being called a Classic Movie. But that's not a surprise: nevertheless, this is AMC - American Movie Classics: at least they brought the influence from somewhere - and nothing better than some old good classics...
