You want a great movie scene to motivate you? Look no further than the movie Pool Junkies with Christopher Walken. It came out in 2002 and wasn’t particularly the greatest film nor was it all that popular. However, there’s one scene, just one moment that to me will always be one of the greatest motivational moments on film. It’s dubbed “The Lion Speech.” Walken’s in the bathroom and starts talking about the nature channel. He brings up lions and then goes into this awesome 2 minute speech that by the end of it makes you want to be the lion.

I didn’t know Christopher Walken had danced in so many movies but it’s a good thing he has otherwise we wouldn’t have this great supercut to show you. He had the moves in Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice video [watch it here] but put them all together with his movies and it’s something special.
Fyi: Walken initially trained as a musical theater dancer at the Washington Dance Studio.
Below is the video and the complete list of the films used:

It's been a bad week for entertainment industry deaths, with "A-Team" and "Rockford Files" writer/producer Stephen Cannell joining a list that already included Greg Giraldo, Tony Curtis, Arthur Penn and Sally Menke. Patton Oswalt took note and proposed a tribute on his account.
In other news, a massive storm of photography hit Twitter-Wood over the last 24 hours. It was tough to pick out a winner, but John Travolta fans should enjoy the post from "Weird Al" Yankovic that earned the honor. Check it out along with David Hasselhoff's new "golf cart" and reactions to "The Social Network" and "Catfish" after the jump.

Emma Roberts may have opted to delete her Twitter account (R.I.P.) after announcing her allegiance to Team Jacob, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse drew some Twitter hate that he was forced to respond to today after attempting to make a joke about the situation.
Another team you don't want to mess with right now is the Los Angeles Lakers. They took home this year's NBA championship honors last night, and some fans in their home city decided to tear some streets up in celebration. Find out what Twitter-Wood thought about that and what Lindsay Lohan's iPad artwork looks like after the jump.

@MintzPlasse How dare Emma Roberts say she is on team Jacob.

Director Lee Unkrich may have inadvertently broken news that will surprise no one today when tweeted about his new iPad and announced that he can't wait to watch "Toy Story 3" on it. The movie's post-theater arrival to iTunes was a foregone conclusion anyway, especially considering how heavy a presence Apple has in the film and Pixar's long-running ties with the MacBook-maker.
Their relationship is obviously a bit cozier that, for instance, Michael Rosenbaum's is with "American Idol" at the moment. I've read critical commentary in the Twitter-Wood feed before, but the show rubbed him the wrong way last night. Check out the bone he had to pick after the jump along with who pulled Tom Felton over, what Diablo Cody thinks of Beyoncé and who Edgar Wright had dinner with. It's all retweeted in Twitter-Wood for March 12th, 2010.

If someone in the Twitter-Wood feed hasn't tweeted a link to an organization accepting donations for Haiti, they've probably posted a question asking where they can donate, as "Twilight" actor Alex Meraz did today. His "New Moon" co-star Rachelle Lefevre, meanwhile, sent TwitcPic'd a shot straight from the blood center where she want to donate some blood. Yet another "Twilight"-er, Ashley Green posted a pic as well, but I really can tell you much more about it beyond the fact that she's wearing a crown.
The other big stories of the week remained all over the feed today. Andy Milonakis praised Jimmy Kimmel's contributions to the Leno and Conan debacle, while another actor revealed who made him cry during "American Idol." Find out who that was, as well as who took home a gift from the wrap for Michel Gondry's "Green Hornet" and what Lee Unkrich had...

(Christopher Walken, above.)
[We continue with our postings of some of the best interviews from the previous decade that have thus far only appeared in print, but not on our site. This interview was conducted by our good friend in New York, filmmaker Michael Wechsler. It originally appeared in Venice Magazine in 2003. Walken was just coming off a terrific performance in Catch Me If You Can. This is one of the better talks Walken has ever given. He speaks a lot about his process, in very entertaining fashion, making this a must-read for any aspiring actors.]
Christopher Walken: Dancer in the Dark
by Michael Wechsler
He dances. He can carry a tune. He has become a regular host on "Saturday Night Live." He loves Jerry Lewis, cats, Bugs Bunny, cooking and painting.
Oh, wait, I'm forgetting a few small details. He also won an Academy Award in 1978 for playing a suicidal soldier in Vietnam, gave audiences a lifetime of nightmares and sadistic chuckles playing a heavy in King of New York and a thug amongst thugs in True Romance, and to this day has one of the most recognizable hairstyles of anybody gracing the Silver Screen.
Frankly, I was more than a little nervous about interviewing Mr. Walken, based purely on his resume of psychologically unstable characters. My initial thought was ‘I hope he's nothing like the folks he's played.' Looking through Walken's roles of the past three decades, it feels...

You know how you feel when you look at one of those blogs with all of the cute and fuzzy kitten pictures? Twitter-Wood's sort of like that today with good news following Elizabeth Taylor's heart surgery, Emmy Rossum with cotton candy, Paris Hilton with a monkey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's happy breakfast picture.
All of those pics come in addition to an announcement by Jason Reitman that "Ghostbusters" fans should not want him to direct "Ghostbusters 3," as well as an on-set shot of Rainn Wilson with the band Frightened Rabbit, who recently got a tour of the office used in "The Office." Click on down to check out those posts and more. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for October 9, 2009.

Fire centers on an American ex-soldier (Washington) living out his days in Mexico. An old friend by the name of Reyburn (Walken) persuades the ex-soldier to protect a child, Pinta Balletto (Fanning), whose parents are threatened by a rash of kidnappings. Regency declined comment on the deal. Scott Free Prods. is producing the project, with credits going to Scott, Regency's Arnon Milchan and Lucas Foster. At the studios, the project is being overseen by Regency's Sanford Panitch along with Fox 2000's Elizabeth Gabler. For Scott Free, production president Lisa Ellzey is overseeing.
