Trivia:
Christopher Walken made the difficult trick shot to win the match against Tara's (Eastwood) boss on the first take. He was supposed to make a "trial run" for the scene, but he asked that the cameras go ahead and roll, in case he happened to make it on his first try, and he did. moreGoofs:
Miscellaneous: The aforementioned upside down guitar is also seen with a plastic film over the pick-guard. This plastic film is found on new guitars and usually removed before its first played. moreSoundtrack:

This is a very good movie. I was prepared to be disappointed with a movie that is the first script, first directorial effort and first leading role for Mars Callahan but the script holds tightly together, the shots all make sense and move you along quickly and Mars has very good chemistry... It helps to have high quality actors surrounding Mars.. You can sense the freshness of some improvisation between the characters in some very humorous scenes.. Rod Steiger, Chaz Palminteri, Christopher Walken, Ricky Schroder and Allison Eastwood submerged into their respective characters... I was specially moved by Steiger's last film performance... This movie was made for a smaller budget than the previous big "pool" movie (The Color of Money) but carried itself as well as that blockbuster... Go see it!
