Somewhere in Queens (2022)
Relatable, Honest, Real and Oh So Funny!
Going into this movie, I had some doubts cuz it didn't seem interesting or anything. Oh boy was I wrong. This movie had heart, it felt with relatable things and was honest and sent a message out. It had a great plot and was very relatable. The storyline and plot was actually kinda unique. I liked it it was different. Rays character was interesting as it wasn't something we've seen him really play before. It was funny just as much as it was honest and real. Oh man, was it sidle funny. My whole house was laughing throughout the whole movie. The Mother was so funny. Her character, mannerisms and lines made her so funny and really made a movie highlight. She gave the movie so much comedy and entertainment. I loved it and I think it deserves way more buzz!
LOL (2012)
Boring, Dull and seems to lack plot
There was a lot of hype around this movie. It has Miley Cyrus in it and seems to really target teens and fans of HM. Many were excited for this movie, including myself. Before hand, I was quite excited, then after I was quite disappointed. The movie just seems to fall flat of any plot or climax. It's boring and very dull. The characters aren't really likeable in any way and it just doesn't seem to go anywhere. The movie feels like it's MISSING something. It doesn't go anywhere. It's bland, uninteresting, has unlike able characters and 0 plot or anything. Miley looks pretty and the poster is neat. That's really about it! Her other movie, So Undercover which came out around the same time is miles better!
The View (1997)
A toxic program with No Logic, No Brains no nothing
Honestly, the whole idea of the show is great. You know, 5 or 6 women at a table all talking about hot topics that are going around the world and they express what they think. Here is the issue. These arrogant women not only have 0 idea what they are talking about, but also do not go by logic at all. They only go by what they think and "feel", without actually knowing. The also just all talk over each other to get the last word out. This show really is toxic. I mean these women are not professional despite their arrogance and lack of knowledge. They are just so unprofessional. Joe Behar, your not only arrogant, but your a complete know it all. Whoopi, always has to argue on something she has no idea what she is talking about and has to get the last word out. Elizabeth just constantly talks over everyone as if she is the only one in the world who has a "say" in something. Rosie is just a complete idiotic bitch. Barbara Walters is just a condescending arrogant old woman, who should just retire already. I don't understand how people can like this show, all these women are just immature and ridiculous! OK, I admit the arguments they sometimes have can be pretty entertaining. But They all sound like little high school girls when they constantly just gossip and talk over each other. Sorry, but you won't be getting my "VIEW" again!
Shades of Blue (2016)
Jennifer Lopez is surprisingly wonderful in character!
While watching other programs on the channel this show is on, I saw a view previews of this TV show. Now, I thought it was just some basic knock off of the other cop shows out there. You know like "Blue Bloods". I saw Jennifer Lopez was in it (I never was really a fan of her, but didn't know much about her acting). One night I was looking for a show to watch and I thought of "Shades of Blue" and I thought I would give it a shot. I turned it on and watched as the show went on. As the show has been on for 25 minutes or so, I started to really enjoy it. I honestly didn't know how great of an actress, Jennifer Lopez was (And I wanted to see for myself). She is actually a pretty great actress! I think she does a great job acting in this show. The story line is interesting and keeps you tuned in along the run time of the show. Now that I am a fan of the show, I will watch it again and who knows, it may be my next fave show. You never know! I would recommend it to anyone interested or curious to watch it.
The Cleveland Show (2009)
I tried to get into it, but I just can't! (Glad it ended to be honest)
As a huge fan of Family Guy and American Dad, I am a huge fan of Seth Macfarlane's shows. I especially adore American Dad, (I own just about every season of it!) As a major fan being a young kid, (5 years ago) I gave TCS a shot. I was expecting it to be really random, funny, interesting, and creative with it's plot and story line. As I am in to about 20 minutes into the show, I just can't seem to really get into it. I have also watched about 6 or 7 episodes after that one (which was a long time ago, I haven't watched this show in a few years, but it's ended anyway). The characters aren't very interesting. All of Cleveland's family and friends are just so boring! I think Tim the Bear is somewhat interesting, (It's crazy having a couple of bears right next door to you, they were creative with them), along with Rallo, but that is it. This show doesn't really seem to have a "structure" at all. The plots just always fall flat, even more than Family Guy. It's just a cheap spin off of Family Guy. It just took Family Guy's "humor" and made it into its own show thinking it would be a hit, but in fact it falls far below in a lot of things.
Spy (2015)
You never know what happens next in MM film
Melissa McCarthy always rocks the movies where she usually plays funny roles in, because she is the best at that for her sense of humor and the way she emphasizes things to make it even funnier. I saw this movie right when it came out and I left the theatre pretty pleased based on what I had seen. Melissa McCarthy is one of my favorite hilarious actresses which was the main reason on why I saw, Spy. She had some funny and amusing roles in this movie which made added jazz to the movie with her silly funny antics she had done in this film. I enjoyed how she was portrayed and the way she was portrayed as in her character and her lines. Melissa goes beyond just acting the lines, she emphasizes and makes her lines funnier on the way she expresses and emphasizes them to make them funnier and spectacular for the audiences hearing. The whole cast had funny roles and in a way that related to hers, which made it a night at the theatre worth my while.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007)
Entertaining to some sort, but too much fighting
I've known about this show for a long time which is the Kardashain's first/main show. When I first started watching it I thought it is just a regular family who gets mad frequently at each other with some drama now and than. As a few years have gone by, I have watched it a little more and gotten more familiar with the characters and their personalities. To this day, I am familiar with the characters and have my own opinion of the characters and show. First of all, for thus family peace comes to war in a flash. They always fight about everything and there is never enough peace in this family without them bickering at each other who are a bunch of women in their 30's. They all occasional argue with Kris, especially Kim. From seeing the episodes from 2008 to 2013 I have realized that Kim is a spoiled brat who will be sweet until they can't get her way, than she'll strike and become a bitch. She pouts like a little kid when she doesn't get her way and acts like a baby when it's her turn to go zip lining on a exciting trip or losing her earring in the water in Tahiti, who actually gets out of the water and starts crying about it, like go back in and look for it. The only people I really like are the Jenner's like Bruce, Kendall ad Kyile. The girls are mature and beautiful, especially Kendall, she's a real beauty. They are wise, honest and are a lot more mature than Kim and Khloe and even Kourtney in some occasions. I really only like the show for the quick shots of the Jenners and Bruce is the only one besides the girls I can actually stand, cause even Kris can be a little drawn out especially with Kim who is honestly a pretty girl but way too much of a brat and cry baby.
Rookie Blue (2010)
Entertaining and swell acting
I saw this show when it first came out in 2010 and have really liked it every since then. The acting is very swell along with the story lines to keep up with. It is a striving cast who works with with interacting with each others characters in a way of sense. The engagement in the character's moods and tone make it more interesting to watch. Rookie Blue is never a dull moment watching and makes me not want to take my enlisted eyes of the TV screen. They all do their job correctly in the sense of the relationships between the cops and their actions. All of the story lines have my mind into a set of entertainment and the action gets me hooked on the couch wondering how it all is going to match up. Although, officer Mcnally never shows her appreciation as much as she should when someone hands her something, she is a caring gal who strives to make her relationship with Sam work who is a fun and caring guy who is perfect for her.
Drake & Josh (2004)
Always a kick watching as a kid!
I have seen all the episodes and even though I haven't watched it in a long time, It was honestly one of the best shows from my childhood. This show was always addicting to watch, since it was so entertaining and I never left my seat on the couch for it. Writing this review just reminds of me of all the splendid times I had watching it. All the acting was fantastic and descriptive, from Drake, Josh and Megan to the parents, it was all a memorable laugh. I just wish they could've made more episodes, 57 is not enough episodes :( at all for a fun and entertaining show Drake and Josh truly was for a show of child antics, drama, fun and entertainment.
Modern Family (2009)
Always a laugh and excitement
Modern Family is honestly a amusing and hilarious show. The characters are all not just funny, but relatable like Claire, Phil and Jay. The cast is absolutely fantastic together and really make it an entertaining Comedy and Drama. Phil is a "complete character" especially when he takes about situations in his goofy and radical humor. Jay always has something on his mind to state in a honest manner about the family and Gloria and her sweet and loving character. Every episode is entertaining no matter the plot because of how in depth the characters are portrayed and the situations they face with whether it's a family issue or life situation, they always find a way to make up in the beginning and continue their next sequence of laughter and happiness. Along with Cam and Mitchell, they are even relatable in a way, especially Cam who is a real character who is dramatic and hilarious in his part.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)
Too Goofy over Exaggerated Poor script
I was really excited about seeing this movie. Than, I was disappointed about 1 hour into the movie. It was over drawn too much and had a lack of plot to it. Steve Carrell's character was dumb and I expected him to be smarter. Will Ferrell was OK but the racist slurs was uncalled for. It was like watching a skit of a play. I was so surprised about the theme of the movie. The script was overdone and some scenes were overdone as well. What was the whole being blind thing about and the scene at the end what? It was whacked out to the top. I would've'e made Brick a lot smarter and take 3 scenes out that were plain over exaggerated. A large lack of plot made this film go down the gutter!
American Dad! (2005)
Entertaining and Out Going
I have been watching this show for a long time and have to say it's wonderful. This family is just trying to find their way in the state of Virginia. They portray a lot of good life long situations. It's very humorous as well and sometimes Family Guy gets too phony, but not American Dad! The family is more endowed than FG too they are an outgoing lovable family that has some twists but they all love each other in the end. Roger is very funny and really makes a difference he is very creative with all his outfits and all the people he can pretend to be. I think this show never gets old it always finds a way to be thrifty and funny considering trying to grow up in a bi-partisan world.
Pain & Gain (2013)
What's the plot and what is it stating?
I saw this movie not too long ago and have to say it was a disappointment! The movie had like no plot, wasn't really that funny and it was just out of no where. Mark Wahlberg was alright in the beginning then tightend in the middle. Dwayne Johnson was OK but not really what I was expecting. The movie was just somewhat about to be well trained physically but didn't add to it. The itself was too long and stretched out too far. What was the point of this movie? I know it is a true story but did not really add up completely. It was kind of random and got even dumber in the end. I would not recommend this movie as a good one! I'd would give it a D-.
The Hangover Part III (2013)
Not really catching up to the other parts
When I saw this movie I was excited to see it The Hangover part 3,yeah! you would think right? but when I saw it was humorless, no plot and last but no least NO hangover it was just trying to get money from Chow who was even goofier in this one, haha. I mean I think they could of done it a lot better. Bradley Cooper didn't seem happy to be in this movie at all! The acting was OK you could say. The plot was all over the place and like I said sadly no hangover just a completely pointless plot. it could've been better about 100%. The Audience wants to see a hangover not something else of course that is why it's called The Hangover. The scenes could've been better as well as the set and the scene where they were sneaking into the penthouse with the light flickering on and off and the way the camera was displayed was like what?!
Grown Ups 2 (2013)
Don't waist your money! it's not worth it!
I saw this movie a few days ago and have to say OMG it was such a "B" movie, no plot, the usual humor of Adam Sandler and especially David Spade! it was down-right pointless. The plot was all over the place not intending to be this pointless. It wasn't that funny and it was usually looking at girls areas. These actors were just making fools out of their characters in a way over a no go movie. The thing with Taylor Launtner and the this is our club thing was absolutely pointless. The whole plot was disappointing, waist of time and just sad it wasn't really a great movie. It was scattered all over the place the guys act pointless to the movie and the only person who I thought was alright was Kevin James but that thing with his mother was like what! I don't get it this really doesn't add up to be a movie just the usual men doing whatever the heck they feel like doing. The party scene was pointless and the costumes with Nick Swardson was just funny to see him in a movie like this I thought he was better in Just Go With it. This writer just intended this to be no plot, no humor but immatureness you could say and an excuse to just to whatever the guys want on their reunitement. It could've been written 100% better and actually contain a nice plot! go see another movie for your sake!
