My Review-
Faithless-

My Rating. 7:10
If you're looking for an amusing and touching little series and prepared to be interrupted by a few adds this little gem from Ireland will hit the spot .
I enjoyed the multi cultural family aspect of Faithless that successfully and sympathetically melds two distinctly different cultures Irish and Egyptian together .
Set in Dublin Sam Amin delightfully played by Baz Ashmawy through tragic circumstances finds himself a single parent to his three daughters .
Lina the eldest is challenging Layla choses to wear the Hijab which caused problems in a Catholic school and little Nancy who is played by a wonderful child actress named Carmen Rose Youssef thinks she's an elf .
Her performance alone is worth watching this series she is a darling old soul.
The household is joined by Sam's much loved but irresponsible and randy younger brother Zein also Uncle to the 3 sisters .
Uncle Zein is impressively played by Amir El-Masry.
I really warmed to this family of Irish battlers and their outlaws and in-law's especially their Dad Sam .
Sam Amin really tries and often succeeds to be both Mum and Dad to his daughters even while under great financial stress .
He lives in hope that his old typewriter will produce another novel or television script after a writing drought even when his literary agent had given up on his talent.
I found Faithless well worth watching and it leaves the door wide open for a second series.
It's 6 short episodes of Irish humour blended with Turkish delight.
