Warning: Spoilers
Female genital mutilation is a disturbing issue in the world today and one that few shows will touch on so major praise has to be thrown in the direction of No Offence for covering it. It also allowed Saira Choudhry, who plays my favorite character Tegan, to show off her acting chops and she did well with the heightened appearances tonight.

Nora Attah gives the police information on an illegal female genital mutilation racket. Officer Tegan goes undercover as they suspect Aaliyah Bata to carry out the procedures illegally. Although a suspect Bata is haughty and reckless.

Viv has persuaded Donna Calvert to keep tabs on the Attahs but when out on a stakeout on the FGM ring with Nora present, Donna makes an unwise phone call which leads Nora to suspect her and she is soon abducted leading Joy to be angry with Viv.

Although both stories are linked, the FGM story takes centre stage and is topical but comes across as rather blunt as if they were tackling an issue of the week. Maybe it is another sign that the central story is just not strong enough.
