Emma shamelessly match-makes former nanny Miss Taylor with Frank's father and is triumphant when they marry. Looking around for another match, she decides that Harriet Smith, an orphan who has become her companion is too good for the young farmer Martin and should aspire to be the wife of the vicar, Mr. Elton. Regardless of what Harriet thinks.
- DirectorJim O'HanlonStarsRomola GaraiLouise DylanBlake RitsonDespite the disapproval of both George and John Knightley, Emma continues to line vicar Elton up for Harriet and she is deeply shocked when, alone in a carriage with him, he professes his love for her and is somewhat condescending towards Harriet, to whom Emma apologizes, telling her she is too good for him. Soon afterwards they learn he is to marry another woman. Jane Fairfax, modest niece of garrulous Miss Bates, returns to stay with her and Emma is unimpressed, given how her aunt has always praised her accomplishments. The handsome Frank Churchill also comes to live with his father and seems to share Emma's low regard for Jane, though the anonymous gift of a piano to Jane sets tongues wagging.Miss Bates has spoken of an admirer of Jane's in Ireland but Mrs. Weston suspects George is the donor. - DirectorSean DurkinStarsAmanda DrewRory KinnearDiana SpeedA year has passed. It determines him to return to Southcliffe though Anthony refuses to accompany him. Claire is still grieving, having turned Anna's room into a shrine and obsessing about Maria, a friend of her daughter whom she believes to be the victim of sex-slavers. It takes a while for Andrew to ultimately get through to her. Chris has not rejoined the Army, staying in the town and, whilst he is cordial to David, his family is abusive . After discovering that his hotel room has been broken into David begins to suspect that Chris is not the outwardly friendly young man but a very troubled youngster and finds himself having to act, not only to avoid further bloodshed but to redeem himself for his past behaviour.
- DirectorSean DurkinStarsSean HarrisHelen FosperoRory KinnearDavid Whitehead, an international television reporter, returns to his home town of Southcliffe in the wake of a major tragedy. Reclusive handy-man Stephen Morton, known as the Commander and carer to an elderly mother, has gone on a motiveless killing spree. Some time before the event Stephen had befriended Chris Cooper, a young soldier returned from Afghanistan, claiming a common military background. Stephen takes the lad on military manoeuvres though Chris is perturbed by the older man's excessive zeal, especially when he is injured by Stephen, which ends the friendship. - DirectorMat WhitecrossStarsDominic CooperLara PulverSamuel WestIn London, 1938, Ian Fleming is a dissolute playboy, eclipsed by his dead war hero father and successful brother. While propping up the bar at a jazz club, he meets Ann O'Neill, an alluring socialite. Unlike many of his conquests, Ann is more than a match for him. She already has a husband and a lover, Esmond Rothermere. Fleming finds solace in the arms of a beautiful dispatch rider named Muriel. Following a frosty morning-after encounter with Muriel, Fleming's domineering mother secures him a job assisting Naval Intelligence's Admiral John Godfrey. He quickly incurs Godfrey's wrath when he cooks up an unorthodox scheme to get information from two captured German submariners. However, Fleming's valuable findings make it apparent that an imaginative approach could be just what the war effort requires.
- DirectorMat WhitecrossStarsDominic CooperLara PulverSamuel WestA mischievous Ann invites Fleming to Esmond's birthday party, and although Fleming has brought Muriel as his date, sexual chemistry sizzles between them. Meanwhile, France is looking like it's about to crumble against Nazi forces. Office bound and desperate to be a man of action, Fleming urgently tries to persuade Godfrey to send him to France to oversee the destruction of secret files at one of their bureaus. To his surprise, Godfrey accepts. Fleming sets-off on his mission, but when unexpected obstacles arise, how will he handle the dangerous consequences?
- DirectorMat WhitecrossStarsDominic CooperLara PulverSamuel WestThe war is nearly over, but Fleming is convinced the Nazis are hiding nuclear plans and that the British need to find them before the Russians. Finally, Fleming is granted permission to go to Germany to attempt to retrieve the plans. He succeeds in tracking down the documents, but comes face to face with The Werewolves (renegade German soldiers who will die before giving up the cause). Back in London, celebrations are underway, but the arrival of peace also means wartime relationships will have to be reassessed. Will Fleming and Ann finally find a way to be together? With the war in its final throes, Fleming's days in Naval Intelligence are numbered - what other ways will he find to channel his ingenuity and imagination?
- DirectorMat WhitecrossStarsDominic CooperLara PulverSamuel WestWhile training at a camp in Canada (Camp X), the Americans ask Fleming to use his talents to write a blueprint for a Central Intelligence Agency. On his return to London, Fleming persuades Godfrey to form the 30 Assault Unit - a group of the toughest soldiers prepared to play dirty, with Fleming serving as commanding officer. He believes the new unit of Intelligence Commandos is the key to beating the Nazis. Meanwhile, Fleming continues his relationship with Ann, but refuses to consider taking it to the next level, while Rothermere makes it clear he intends to win her over once and for all.
- DirectorPhilipp KadelbachStarsVolker BruchTom SchillingKatharina SchüttlerFive friends go out to war and promise each other to be back for Christmas.
- DirectorPhilipp KadelbachStarsVolker BruchTom SchillingMiriam SteinThe war on the Russian front goes disastrously wrong, so Frieldhelm's realistic pessimism spreads among the decimated comrades in arms, who bravely continue the near-hopeless battle assignments in a last hope offensive on Kursk. Friedhelm survives by wearing a Soviet uniform, only to be shot by his own men, yet is saved against the odds when nurse Charlotte begs the surgeon, who becomes her lover. At home, his father proves heartless, caring only for the presumed dead in action of firstborn hero Wilhelm, who actually deserted to live in a wood cabin but is found and condemned to the firing squad. Viktor is caught, sent to a concentration camp but escapes with a Polish girl. They are nearly denounced but brought to the partisans, who mistrust the odd couple. Greta visits the front, sees the horror in Charlotte's field hospital and is arrested for publicly questioning the Nazi victory. Her lover learns about his child while questioning her.
- DirectorPhilipp KadelbachStarsVolker BruchMiriam SteinTom SchillingWilhelm's death sentence has been mitigated to a transfer into a punitive battalion. The Wehrmacht now needs every man. In Russia, Charlotte and Wilhelm meet again - a disturbing encounter for both. Especially Charlotte is overwhelmed by her feelings, since she thought Wilhelm dead. But the war tears them asunder once more. The Red Army is now advancing on all fronts. While Friedhelm's new unit in Poland is still cracking down brutally on the partisan group Viktor is a member of, Charlotte's field hopital is overrun by the Russians. Charlotte is captured by the Russians. Greta is visited in prison by her former lover and protector Dorn. Like so many others, he sees the end of the NS-regime approaching and tries to save his own neck. He wants Greta to testify that he had helped her boyfriend Viktor to escape from Germany: Her life in exchange for her signature. Wilhelm uses the chaos of retreat and defects from his punitive battalion. He makes his difficult and dangerous way back to Berlin. The war is on its last legs, but still thousands are dying each day. Friedhelm, too, is sent towards the advancing Red Army with a contigent in the last days of the war. Four years previously, the five friends had wanted to meet in Berlin at Christmas. Four Christmasses have since passed, without a reunion. A country lies in ruins. Millions of people on all sides have died a meaningless death. Those five, too, haven't weathered the war without losses, and those who survived will never be the same again.
- DirectorSean DurkinStarsDiana SpeedShirley HendersonHayley RibyClaire and Andrew learn that Anna was one of the victims as were Paul's wife and children. Whilst Claire cannot bear to see her daughter in the morgue Paul, consumed with guilt over his affair, goes to pieces, pouring petrol over his house and taking his niece to play on the railway lines before indulging in dangerous activities on a motorway bridge. At his wife's funeral he bans the wearing of black and insists the Wedding March be played. David explains to Anthony that, as a child, he played with Stephen Morton, who was always very odd and obsessed with creatures on the marshes. He tries to interview locals, including the man next door to Morton, the pub landlord and Morton's sister but they all have little to say. It transpires that David's father died in an accident which claimed others and David was bullied as the son of a man branded a murderer. In the light of this his television interview with Andrew is damning of Southcliffe and he foolishly accuses the townsfolk of being complacent in not recognizing Morton's potential as a killer. This is not well-received and he is vilified when the report is shown on YouTube.
- DirectorJamie PayneStarsDavid MorrisseyAlan RothwellPaula WolfendenDepressed cab driver Vince McKee, bored with his job with its ghastly fares, out of love with wife Ros, and disrespected by his school-girl daughter, meets Colin, an old friend just released from a prison sentence for armed robbery. Ros detests him, but Vince takes up his invitation to play poker at the house of a man known as the Horse. The Horse offers Vince a cryptic and clearly illegal driving job, though it does come with a smart new car. Whilst kept in the dark about the nature of his first job for the Horse, it pays very well. His second involves the transportation of something in a hold-all and attracts the attention of the police, though he eludes them after a prolonged chase. The next job, however, is more sinister, as Colin attacks a man and bundles him into the car's boot.
- DirectorJamie PayneStarsDavid MorrisseyIan HartNathan McMullenVince is horrified to see Colin throw his victim into a pit though Colin tells him he should be happy to be earning extra money. Next morning early Vince rescues the man and drops him off at casualty, claiming he found him in the road before driving off. Ros discovers blood on her husband's shirt and becomes suspicious but he flees her questions by making an unannounced visit to their son Tim, who has joined a sect but refuses to see him. On his return he is visited by police, who tell him that the man he saved, Joseph Paslowski, is a dangerous gangster. He goes to see the Horse, whose men are savagely beating up Colin for apparently failing in his duty to kill Paslowski.
- DirectorJamie PayneStarsDavid MorrisseyLewis RainerLee RossWith Paslowski now out of his coma the police visit Vince. After visiting the badly injured Colin and asking to leave the gang he tries to bribe a colleague, Kev to give him an alibi but Kev tells the police and he is arrested. He confesses everything and is offered a deal - to carry on working with the gang and inform the police of their next planned job, the robbery of a Chinese supermarket. The family will be put under witness protection and given new identities, which angers Ros and daughter Katie. Preparing for the robbery Vince is amazed to see that Colin will be taking part and tells him to back out as the police will be waiting. Everything goes to plan and Vince hears from Tim that he wants to leave the cult and return home. Does this signal an end to the nightmare for the driver or are he and his family still in danger?

Struggling and ashamed of herself, she returns home to her mother Caterina and her sisters Helga and Eva. Caterina Schöllack runs the reputed dance school "Galant" which is famed for its impeccable reputation. Her husband - the girls' father - has been missing since 1944. Fritz Assmann, a friend of the family, lends Caterina his support at the dance school and in private life. For Caterina, Monika's dismissal is clear proof of her daughter's failure. She is more hopeful when it comes to Helga, who will soon be marrying the up-and-coming district attorney Wolfgang von Boost, and the self-assured Eva, who massively flirts with Professor Fassbender, in whose neurological clinic she works as a nurse. At Helga's wedding, Monika is accompanied by the factory owner's son Joachim Franck. Initially she is profoundly fascinated by him. As a matter of fact, she finds photos in her mother's closet that supports Crohn's accusation. In the meantime, Joachim Franck is wooing Monika again. Caterina pressures Monika to relent. But Monika's resistance towards her mother is growing, especially since Caterina is not as "clean" as she pretends to be. Monika accepts Freddy's offer to join him at the "rock 'n' roll" dance club "Mutter Brause". At the club, a completely new world opens up to her: flips, leather jackets, petticoats and American rock 'n' roll. Hordes of young people are dancing wildly on the dance floor.
