Who Are These People? No One Knows.
Anonnamus20 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show. It's addicting and like an alternate reality version of Lost. This episode was decent, though I wanted nothing more than to punch some of the Arkadians in the face. Here are some of my thoughts while watching.

  • When did Bellamy hit his head and why hasn't someone declared brain-dead yet? That's the only reason I can understand why he suddenly changed his entire personality and became a lackey to the first guy he hears who speaks loudly. All Grounders are bad! Kill them all! If Nyko and Indra are dead, I'm done with all of them. Shut up.
  • Come to think of it, they're all idiots. We must kill the army here to protect us because we don't trust them! Let's shoot them while they're sleeping because we are brave! I'm sure the thousands of other Grounders will just let that go, right Pike? You showed everyone how big yours is, now we will laugh when it gets cut off. Ridiculous, shoot first and never think of consequences. Die. All of you. Shut up.
  • Of course Clarke thinks she can fix things. She thinks she's god's gift to everyone on the ground and that everyone should obey her. I'm sure she will attempt to tell Lexa that Pike deserves to live, and that he will be punished in private, perhaps sent to bed without any supper. Who cares that he murdered 300 people, he was completely misguided because they shot his dog or something. Shut up.
  • Jaha is pretty fantastic as the guy who drank so much of the Kool-Aid, it's seeping out his pores. I almost paused the television to look up the City of Light on the internet and see if I can make reservations. Shut up.
  • Clarke and Bellamy are having a heart-to-heart. It would be a touching scene if both don't consistently make decisions that make me want to tase them. Even though they're both making decent points to defend their actions, I want nothing more than to slam their heads together and knock them unconscious. Find the backpack and choke on the City of Light. Both of you. Shut up.
  • The Nazikadians were mere feet from Octavia and Clarke when they took off running, yet there was time for Clarke to hug her mother and for the group to chat awhile and have tea. Ah, TV. Shut up.
  • Really, Clarke? You really think letting your group get away with murdering 300 of their people in cold blood is showing Trikru a better way? Smile pretty and beg to spare your people and these fighters will just respect that? You're pretty, but you're not that pretty. Hopefully Miley Cyrus Lexa will ignore you instead of doing anything and everything you ask. At least kill Pike and his number 2. Take out Monty's mother while you're at it. Shut up.
  • And there it is. The Nazikadians are just going to get away with what they did. You just issued yourself a death sentence, Lexey Cyrus. But I'm sure we are going to see Clarke cry a bunch before she moves on to sleeping with the next person. Probably Bellamy, the way this show and CW is going. Shut up.

What I love about this show is that none of the seasons look anything like each other. New storylines in completely different scenery definitely keeps it from getting stale. What I don't like is the way the writers are portraying these characters, constantly changing who they are and committing acts that make no sense. Lexa was born into violence. It's her peoples way. It's the only thing she's known, so the fact that she's considering just letting the new guys get away with killing 300 of her own people with no consequence is ridiculous. Bellamy acting like an acquiescent child and following kill orders from a man who clearly has his own agenda is ridiculous. Thank goodness for Kane, Abby, Octavia, and Lincoln this episode or I may have thrown my remote. I like where they're trying to take the story, I just don't like the means. There are better ways to create tension between the clans again without making Bellamy an idiot and Lexa a sheep. Personally, I think Indra would make a fantastic commander. Ups and downs but overall, a decent episode.

Lay waste to my enemies

Warning: Spoilers
Pike has gotten the power, and with it an eagerness to kill anything that moves. His first move as the new Chancellor is kill all the Grounders that were camping right next to Arkadia. Thanks to Bellamy, Indra survives, but everyone else is killed. Jaha gets back to camp, and starts to preach to the unbelievers.

Episode five of the third season of "The 100" keeps with the new direction the show is taking. We have Jaha's quest to... well, it's not yet clear, but for sure for nothing good. Isaiah Washington makes Jaha creepy enough, but not too much that we can't believe someone may be won by his preaching.

But right now the show is centered around the Grounders-Arkadia tensions. After all residents of Mount Weather were killed, the relationship between both sides seemed to be improving. But the writers decided to bring tensions up again. The decision, after what both sides have been through, is well explained but reeks a little bit of wanting to stretch the tension. It's like the decision they have made of bringing Bellamy back to the dark side. After his evolution from the first leader of the returned and Clarke's nemesis to Indra and Lincoln's friend and in general good friend of everyone, his change of opinion seems too radical and similar to what happened to Finn in the second season. On the other hand, "The 100" does a great job of seeing how people can be easily influenced by fear, in a society that has not been long back to Earth, and has been through a lot. Pike's rise to power makes sense, as Kane and Dr. Griffin may seem weak for these times.

"The 100" keeps the tension and fun high.

Pike Slander

Pike is so dumb. Cant believe Bellamy fell for it too. How can pike (and company) be overly confident about what hes doing? He doesnt realize what he is doing is harming his own people. And he thinks he can take out all 12 clans? Lmao.

The City of Light's storyline is the only enjoyable thing here.

Others are just.. ridiculous. Clarke's plan for peace is ridiculously optimism. Pike's storyline is just ridiculously brainless.

bad bad story telling

What a stupid writing and plot. I mean say Kane is so naive which he is NOT since the very beginning, and gave the command to Pike, still they both could have left the camp and warned the grounders. I mean who is so stupid enough to stay inside and watch events fold? The producers take viewers as idiots or what? Anyone with minimum sensibility know or expects that as soon as Kane tells Pike that he is the commander, Abigail should have left immediately to tell the grounders of the attack. How bland and suspenseless event folded with the current script! Bad story telling with a PhD degree. Great work wise guys: 10 fingers down.
