I absolutely love this film. I read that this was made with just $9000 which if that is true is even more impressive. I appreciated that the dialogue in this film was much more developed than that of some higher budget Indies I have watched recently. May & Jane's relationship is explored with such nuance, and the actors do such an incredible job portraying this unique and layered friendship.
The Zach & Finn storyline is equally as fun to watch and despite the joyful comedy, makes the viewer feel a little sorry for everyone. They do a lot less talking compared to May and Jane, but the silences are performed beautifully, and it makes you really wonder if anyone means anything they are saying.
There are so many lies in this movie it makes me wonder if there's any point at all where anyone here actually tells the truth.
It's a quirky indie movie in just a few locations that pokes fun at a immature, privileged friend group, who all seem oblivious to the outside world, and along with some really great comedic scenes, the movie does make you question what it means to be a friend.
