It took the Baltimore Ravens awhile to get in the game against the Houston Texans last night on Monday Night Football, but in the end they grinded out a 23-16 victory, keeping the Super Bowl Xlvii champs on track for their first playoff appearance in three years. However, now 12 weeks into the controversial season, it was only a dark victory for Espn and the NFL that one might detect in Edgar Allan Poe's “The Raven” poem. With a 6.0 in metered market results, last night's…...

Rumor has it that the Super Bowl is all about the NFL, but the frenzied sharing of 2014's game day ads says otherwise. In the days following the famous scrimmage, it's often the moments that have little to do with football that prompt the most discussion. To find the Super Bowl's best moments off the clock, Logo TV polled over 2,000 viewers on their favorite game day events that didn't involve pigskins or forward passes. The results uncovered strange stunts, touching commercials and an awe-inspiring rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Matthew Broderick's Ferris Bueller Commercial (Super Bowl Xlvi, 2012) "I'm Going...

Bud Light released teasers featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Don Cheadle and Reggie Watts, in preparation for their big Super Bowl ad.
Arnold Schwarzenegger A Ping-Pong Pro For Bud Light
The short, 10-second clips don’t reveal much about the larger commercial, but the teasers do feature Schwarzenegger in a blond wig, tight gym clothes, waving around a ping-pong paddle. “Whatever is coming,” reads the tagline at the end of the teaser, playing on the popular Game of Thrones tagline, “Winter is coming.”
Schwarzenegger will likely play a big part in the ad. He is being paid a reported $3 million.
A teaser featuring Cheadle has him standing in a hallway with a llama, making them ‘Donnie Llama.’
Finally, the last few teasers feature Watts, a comedian, acting as a DJ in what appears to be a Bachelorette party limo.

Nine out of the Top 10 most-watched TV broadcasts in 2013 were football games – the lone non-football program on Nielsen's year-end report was the Oscars. 2013 has been a huge year for pop music, and Beyoncé Knowles intends to make just as big an impact on 2014 with her upcoming album.
According to Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer, the pop queen's new song list will hit the market in the near future, as he detailed the label's 2014 schedule saying, "At some point, Beyoncé will put a record out, and when she does, it will be monumental."
The new record will follow-up the 32-year-old's hit album, 4, and although Stringer offered no details on a release date, we have seen that Beyonce has been hard at work, both with her performance at Super Bowl Xlvii, and on her world trip tour.
This past summer, the "Single Ladies'" collaborator Ne-Yo said of her effort, as well as the effort of her fellow cohorts, "They're still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I'm not mad at.

So, remember that small matter of some majorly unflattering photos Beyonce's publicist tried to have removed from the internet after her Super Bowl Xlvii halftime performance?
Well, Team Beyonce has set about to solve that issue by banning photographers from her "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour. According to a report by Jezebel, the photos from Bey's concert stops being released through news agencies are select pre-approved images snapped by a photographer hired by Bey's team
Some photo agencies have reportedly resorted to buying amateur photos taken by concert attendees, but those are hard to come by considering concert guests are expressly prohibited from bringing cameras or recording devices into the venues.
So it looks like the only photos we'll get to see of Beyonce's weird glittery nipple costume are the ones she chooses to let us see. Guess you'll have to buy a concert ticket if you want to see more.

Joe Flacco just inked a new deal with the Baltimore Ravens that makes the Super Bowl Xlvii winner the highest paid quarterback in NFL history.
And so it is that when Joe rolled up to the drive-thru window within hours of signing his six-year contract, McDonald's employee Sherry Norman just had to snap a pic.
Flacco stopped for a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal -- which cost him a cool seven bucks -- on his way back home to New Jersey from the Ravens training facility, where he signed the deal that gives him a $29 million signing bonus and guarantees $52 million over the life of his contract.
"I kept saying to the people I work with, 'Doesn't that look like Joe Flacco?,'" Norman, a hardcore Ravens fan tells Espn. "And then he turned towards the window and it was him."
Flacco happily posed for Norman's camera with a $52 million smile on his face.

"Dancing With The Stars" has cast Jacoby Jones for Season 16.
Though the entire cast of "Dancing With The Stars'" upcoming season won't officially be announced until Tues., Feb. 26 during "Good Morning America," ABC aired a promo during the Oscars on Sun., Feb. 24 that revealed Jones as a cast member.

“He’s already won a Super Bowl ring,” the promo announced. “What’s he going to do next? Dance!”

In an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier this month, Jones said that he practices his touchdown dances for weeks. "Seriously. I'll do my dances, see what my teammates think of 'em and they'll be like, 'Yeah, do that.' And the night before the game,...

For the first time since his move to 11:35 Pm last month, Jimmy Kimmel was beaten by his hero David Letterman last week. CBS’ The Late Show bested ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live in total viewers by 40%, pulling in an average of 3.4 million to the ABC show’s 2.48 million for the week ending February 8. Letterman also topped Kimmel in households (2.5/06 to 1.8/05), adults 18-49 (0.8/03 to 0.7/03), adults 25-54 (1.1/04 vs. 0.9/04) and adults 18-34 (0.5/02 vs. 0.4/02). That’s a 14%, 22% and 25% margin of victory respectively for the key demos. However, that result partially tells us that the Baltimore Ravens weren’t the only ones to get a win out of Super Bowl Xlvii. Letterman’s show was strongly promoted on CBS during the big game and he had Mvp Joe Flacco on the day after the February 3 Super Bowl. The Late Show also did well against NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The CBS...

Sunday marked the greatest day in the American sports calendar. In this year’s marque game, the favoured San Francisco 49ers went up against the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans.
Coming into the game there was multitude of sub-plots that threatened to overshadow the NFL season finale. With brothers Jim and John Harbaugh opposing coaches, the game was certainly a family affair, and win or lose this was to be the final game of the controversial but legendary Ravens linebacker, Ray Lewis.
The Ravens raced to a 7-3 first quarter lead courtesy of a Flacco touchdown throw to Anquan Boldin, and a redzone stop by the Ravens defence forcing a San Francisco field goal.
The second quarter saw the Ravens increase their lead to 21-6. Baltimore capitalised on two San Francisco turnovers including an interception by New Orleans native Ed Reed. Jacoby Jones finished off the first half with a spectacular 56yd touchdown catch,...

After scrubbing the mid-game blackout delay from ratings and making time zone adjustments, Nielsen gives Sunday night's Super Bowl a haul of 108.41 million total viewers. The matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers was down nearly 3 million from last year's record of 111.3 million. Super Bowl XLVII now stands as the third most-watched program in U.S. TV history.
The final tally, also down from 2011's 111-million strong Super Bowl, comes after record overnight ratings for the CBS broadcast of the game.

With all due congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens on their nail-biting 34-31 win over San Francisco in Super Bowl Xlvii, it has to be noted that Joe Flacco & Co. weren’t the only ones worthy of a champagne toast at the end of CBS’ Sunday-night telecast.
And in a similar vein, there are a number of players who ought to be hanging their heads lower than Colin Kaepernick and his 49ers tribe this morning.
Who scored big and who failed to light up the board?...

There was a delay in Super Bowl Xlvii that lasted over 30 minutes and it was all due to a power surge that blacked out half the stadium. Oops.
But here are some of our favorite theories and quips from Twitter, which is always the place to be during something like a Super Bowl black out.
"I've kicked the Playstation cord out of the wall before, too. Well played Jim Harbaugh" -- Kyle Clark"The Stadium just went into a #blackout. Clearly the dementors showed up a little late to watch Beyonce". -- Lord Voldemort"Switching to Downton Abbey where they still have electricity" -- Ben Garvey"Finally, America cares about the infrastructure in Nola."-- David Corn "NBC and Jj Abrams just 'Revolution' photobombed the Superbowl.#blackout" -- Julie Plec"This game ended like The Sopranos" -- Will Stegemann"Over 100 NFL players without power in New Orleans right now.

CBS' broadcast of Super Bowl XLVII that saw the Baltimore Ravens defeat the San Francisco 49ers, pulled in a 48.1 preliminary household rating, the highest number for the game in metered market history. That's a one percent uptick from last year’s matchup between the N.Y. Giants and the New England Patriots, which was broadcast on NBC. That game set a new U.S. audience record with 111.3 million viewers, narrowly besting the previous years' Super Bowl on Fox. But the rating for last night's game excludes the span of time during the power outage at the Superdome, which

A TV watchdog group is going after CBS for airing the f-word during Sunday’s Super Bowl telecast.
The Parents Television Council is calling on the Federal Communications Commission to take action against the broadcaster after Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl Xlvii Mvp Joe Flacco threw out an enthusiastic profanity while enjoying his team’s victory.
“This is f–king awesome!” the Super Bowl Mvp exclaimed while hugging teammate Marshal Yanda after the game. The expletive was captured by a nearby microphone and aired live on CBS.

A scuffle broke out between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers during Super Bowl Xlvii after the Ravens' Ed Reed intercepted a pass from Colin Kaepernick in the second quarter of the game.
The players were pushing and shoving -- each other. Except for Ravens cornerback Cary Williams, who gave one of the referees a pretty good shove (see below). Unnecessary roughness penalties were awarded to San Francisco's Joe Staley and Baltimore's Corey Graham.
However, we were under the impression that purposeful contact with an official should always result in an ejection, and NBC Sports' Mike Florio concurs. He says NFL official and officiating supervisor Jim Daopoulos walked him through the rules and there really is no question -- Williams should have been ejected from the game.

Could the Super Bowl power outage super-charge CBS’ big game ratings?
That’s one theory floating around broadcast ratings analysts tonight after CBS’ telecast of Super Bowl Xlvii was dramatically interrupted by a 34-minute power outage that sent half the New Orleans Superdome into darkness.
On the surface, the outage is a huge technical blunder. Embarrassing. Time wasting. And very risky — it was basically a half-hour of dead air during the most-watched telecast of the year, hastily filled by impromptu chatter from CBS Sports reporters and a flurry of ads.
Here’s why some analysts think the power outage won’t hurt CBS’ ratings (and,...

Ravens? 49ers? Brothers John and Jim Harbaugh coaching against one another in the Super Bowl? Sure. But a significant segment of the audience for Super Bowl Xlvii is watching the commercials as much as the game.
Advertisers paid up to $3.8 million per 30-second spot on CBS' broadcast of the game, which will reach 100 million-plus viewers. Did they get their money's worth? Check back throughout the game for Zap2it's running commentary on the best ads of Super Bowl Sunday.

Budweiser: Black Crown
Budweiser has introduced its Black Crown beer, which is an amber lager with a higher alcohol content. And based on that stupid commercial, one has to wonder if the beer sucks too. Oooh, everyone's in black. Oooh, look how edgy we all are. Like hot, trendy people in a hot, trendy bar are going to drink Budweiser. Sorry, not buying it. Also, the goth lipstick is doing you no favors.

CBS’ presentation of Super Bowl XLVII suffered an epic production snag when the lights abruptly went out in the New Orleans’ Superdome.
Shortly after Beyoncé’s splashy halftime show, the stadium was plunged into darkness. CBS Sports cut to a commercial break. When live coverage returned, CBS Sports reporter Steve Tasker informed the 100-million-plus viewers of TV’s most popular annual telecast that the lights in roughly half the stadium were out. The scoreboard was also not working.

In case you haven't heard, there's a big football game down in New Orleans on Sunday.
That's highly unlikely, especially if you're a viewer of CBS, which for the past week has put on an all-out blitz of programming related to Super Bowl Xlvii from the Big Easy. The eye network has deployed its news, sports and entertainment divisions at what it's dubbed CBS Super Bowl Park at Jackson Square in the French Quarter, offering reports on what's been happening there the past week, ranging from night life and celebrities in New Orleans to the recovery from 2005's Hurricane Katrina and, of course, what the teams involved have been up to.
So by now, you should be up to speed on all things New Orleans.

A little T&A never hurt nobody. If you envisioned Super Bowl Xlvii preparation for the San Francisco 49ers looking like an actual mock game, think again. Down in New Orleans boobs and booty was all that was on a couple of the guy’s mind last night; and with the pressure of pulling a W on Sunday, can you blame them?
TMZ caught a handful of the 49ers’ players heading into the notorious Penthouse Club on Bourbon Street. Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree and Patrick Willis creeped (although you can’t really creep when you’re football players with management and security) out of their hotels to go get some lap dances. Meanwhile inside the reported 150 strippers ran at the sound of the Player’s Club siren alerting them to “ballers in the house.” Time to make some money! As “Bandz A Make Her Dance” played the trio made it rain with their NFL money.
