Sometimes crazy, awkward, or even “strange” moments happen on game shows, including The Price Is Right.
One contestant got plenty of attention from a recent episode of the game show due to what some felt was peculiar or even “disrespectful” bidding behavior.
Nicholas, who wore a dark short-sleeved shirt featuring vibrant pink flamingos, got called down to contestant’s row during the May 7 episode.
Upon his arrival, The Price Is Right announcer George Gray and model Rachel Reynolds presented contestants with a spin air bike and vertical knee raise exercise station to bid on.
The contestant who gets the closest bid to the price without going over gets to join host Drew Carey on stage to play pricing games and potentially win prizes.
It’s not uncommon for contestants to bid $1 or a dollar more than the highest bid in an attempt to get on stage. Sometimes, a contestant bids...

If you’re a fan of Mel Gibson’s classic action flicks, be sure to stream them before they leave Max at the end of August.
All four “Lethal Weapon” movies and “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,” starring the late, great Tina Turner, will be leaving the streaming service. Luckily, you’ll have all month to watch them.
Watching the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” animated movie in theaters? Max has several films featuring the radical reptilians: the live-action “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” (1991)
and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III” (1993), as well as the animated “Tmnt” (2007).
Kaiju fans will want to check out “Godzilla” (2014), “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” (2019), “King Kong” (1933) and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” (2012).
Finally, if horror is your thing, six “Hellraiser” films and “The Ring Two” make great summer scares.

There’s nothing quite like when HBO is airing one of its trademark watercooler-worthy dramas weekly. Thankfully, we’ll get to it experience exactly that and more on HBO Max in March 2023.
The big ticket item on HBO Max this March is undoubtedly Succession Season 4 on March 26. Part prestige drama and part screwball comedy, Succession is about as fun a watch as they come. Season 4 of the series about egregious wealth will find the Roy siblings reeling after trying and failing to take down their father, Logan (Brian Cox).
HBO Max’s other major TV option this month is another weekly release from HBO. Matthew Rhys returns as the titular lawyer in Perry Mason Season 2 on March 6. Season 1 of this period piece reboot flexed the classic TV character’s detective skills. From the look of the trailer, it seems as though this is the year Perry makes his name in the court room.

Derek Hough is expanding his already lengthy relationship with ABC.
The six-time “Dancing With the Stars” winner, who recently returned as a judge for this season, has inked an overall deal with ABC Entertainment. Under this new agreement, Hough will host and develop specials and entertainment programming for the network.
“Coming home to ABC and being given the opportunity to develop projects for them that are as much on brand for them as they are for me makes this even that more exciting for me,” said Hough.
News of his deal comes just one week after the season 29 debut of “Dancing With the Stars,” and just over a year after Hough signed a first-look deal with Universal Television. At the time, Hough was a judge on “World of Dance,” but sources say he is no longer under that pact.

Dancing With The Stars new judge Derek Hough is to host and develop a range of entertainment projects with ABC Entertainment after striking an overall deal with the broadcaster.
This comes after Hough recently returned to the ABC fold. Hough was a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars between 2007 and 2016 before he left to become a judge on NBC’s World of Dance.
The overall deal will see him work with the network on specials and entertainment programming. He is the latest new Dancing With The Stars family member to strike a deal with the Walt Disney-owned company – host Tyra Banks set a first-look deal with production arm ABC Signature last month.
A two-time Emmy Award winner and nine-time Emmy nominee, Hough has also featured as an actor in The Disney Family Singalong, made his feature film debut in Make Your Move and had a recurring role on Nashville.

Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars is going to be completely Hough-free. Julianne Hough already announced that she will not be a judge this season, and now E! He took home his latest mirrorball trophy with partner Bindi Irwin during season 21. So while we're totally bummed about this news, Hough's fellow professional dancers are probably looking forward to a season without Derek as competition. He’s waltzed, tangoed and cha-cha-cha’ed for years, but Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough had to learn a whole new routine in order to make his Nashville debut (ABC, Wednesday 10/9c).
“This really isn’t dance-related,” Hough tells TVLine, noting that other roles he’s had — the comedy Better With You, the upcoming film Make Your Move — allowed him to fall back on decades of training in fancy footwork. “This is the first one where it’s straight acting.”
It’s ironic, then, that Hough plays a hotshot Hollywood stud who crosses paths with neophyte actress Juliette.

Today's batch of MPAA ratings is dominated by one word films as Disney's new Disneynature feature Bears scores a G rating, David Gordon Green's Joe starring Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan received an R rating, John Curran's 2013 festival film, Tracks, starring Mia Wasikowska and rising star, Adam Driver, landed a PG-13; and Relativity's Oculus held onto its R rating after a so-called "re-rate". Also included in today's rating is Ned Benson's The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, which I haven't added to the database yet because I don't know how the Weinstein Co. is going to handle the release. There is a Him installment (featuring James McAvoy) and a Her installment, telling the same story from Eleanor's perspective, she being played by Jessica Chastain. Once I hear more about the release plan I'll get it into the database, but for now both installments scored an R rating. I've...

Amidst fan suggestions that dancer/actor Derek Hough be cast as “Johnny Castle” in the upcoming “Dirty Dancing” remake, the 26-year-old told People that he will be returning to the fall season of ABC's “Dancing With the Stars.” Arguably the show's most popular "pro," Hough took a hiatus from season 12 of the show “to grow and expand a little bit as an artist," had said. While casting for the new Dancing with the Stars season won't be officially announced until Aug. 29, one person who will definitely be on the show is three-time champ Derek Hough. "I will be back!" Hough tells People. Following his third mirror-ball-winning season with Jennifer Grey last November, Hough took time off in the spring to shoot an independent dance movie Cobu 3D. The time off gave the 26-year-old a chance to "push myself and introduce me to a career I'd love to do more. It was a fantastic experience." Derek Hough is keeping his promise and returning to 'Dancing With the Stars' this fall.
The pro dancer took this year's spring session off to explore acting and shoot an indie film, but the 26-year-old told People magazine of the upcoming fall season, "I will be back!"
Hough won the mirrorball trophy two seasons in a row before taking season 12 off to shoot the dance movie 'Cobu 3D,' for which he gained 10 pounds of muscle. Cheryl Cole is said to have shown just how much she cares for Derek Hough this week, when he celebrated his 26th birthday.
The Dancing With The Stars professional is currently in Canada, shooting his new movie Cobu 3D and was woken on Tuesday morning by a phonecall from the X Factor judge in which she crooned Happy Birthday to him.
She also bought her rumoured boyfriend an expensive snowboard, because he had been complaining about feeling old and when he got to his dressing room on the set of the film, waiting for him was a basket containing more goodies, including CDs, DVDs, a framed picture of the pair and a sushi cookbook with a note reading: “Now you can make me dinner every night!”
A source told The Sun:
“Derek thought because of her schedule she wouldn’t have time to send a card, let alone a basket of presents.

HollywoodNews.com: Yes, there are a lot of “Dancing With the Stars” fans missing popular pro Derek Hough this season. However, “He is off to Canada to film a movie, ‘Cobu 3D.’ He’s starring. He’s dancing and acting,” notes Julie McDonald of the dance romance in which Hough’s leading lady is Asian star BoA. “He wants to do other things, and this is a wonderful opportunity for him.”
Hough is among the elite group of dance talents represented by McDonald’s Msa agency — so she knows. The former dancer (whose own career was cut short by injury) has more than 20 years’ experience in working with dancers, stage director and choreographers, including “So You Think You Can Dance” choreography faves Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo. Tabitha and Napoleon happen to be choreographing “Cobu,” in addition to assignments like Fox’s “Mobbed” and “The Kids Choice Awards,...

Derek Hough has confirmed that he will return to Dancing With The Stars later this year, and warned his fellow professionals that he will be back better than ever. Sure, the season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, Mar. 21, had Kirstie Alley, Ralph Macchio and more, but there was one noticeable absence: Fan favorite pro Derek Hough.
Derek joined the show in Season 5 and has appeared in every season since. He opted out of participating on the hit ABC show's twelfth season. Most of the other pros have returned, so what is the handsome blonde up to?
Derek, 25, is set to star in the new movie "Cobu 3D," which is hitting theaters in 2012. The film goes into production next month, which would make it impossible for Hough to have enough time for both the show and the movie. Good news for fans of Hough's moves: He'll be playing a dancer in the flick.
What is the film about? A pair of star-crossed dancers in New York who find themselves at the center of a bitter rivalry between their brothers' underground dance clubs.

All the other professionals took part in last fall's edition of the show. Here are the pairings:
Kirstie Alley will dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"Psycho" Mike Catherwood is paired up with Lacey Schwimmer.
Chris Jericho will dance with two-time champion Cheryl Burke.
Chelsea Kane is partnered with two-time winner Mark Ballas.
Sugar Ray Leonard will team up with Anna Trebunskaya.

It's that time again, time to speculate on the next season of Dancing with the Stars! The rumor mill has been a-swirl recently with plenty of fodder for the TV bloggers and Dwts fan sites to feast upon. ABC is set to announce the Dancing with the Stars Season 12 cast on February 28 during The Bachelor. For now we have only some conjecture and one sure bet to play around with…so let’s play.
I've noted a common theme among some of the female names being floated around... ladies with drug-addled baggage. Most likely it's the handlers of these 'stars' who are pushing for an invite from the show rather than the other way around. Imagine the benefits that the 12 week disciplined and rigorous program of dance training could bring to these women personally, physically, and professionally, if they could endure it. Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough are said to be having a troublesome time in their relationship.
The X Factor judge and her dancing boyfriend were snapped looking all loved up in South Africa just one month ago, but now things are said to be ‘rocky’ between the stars.
The situation won’t be helped by the enforced distance between them. Derek will be spending a lot of time in New York and Toronto after landing a role in the film Cobu 3D, while Cheryl is currently in the UK but will most likely be in La soon if she lands the American X Factor job.
A source told The Daily Star:
“Things are a little rocky at the moment between Cheryl and Derek.
“He’s not happy that she met up with her ex Ashley while he was in La and the distance is starting to put a strain on the relationship.
