Dumb
vam-vm25 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We're supposed to be in an apocalyptic world and Charlie looked as if she was off to the mall with her friends. Long clean hair, lip gloss or light lipstick, clean neat clothes. Too unrealistic for me. When Charlie and Ali were in the bowling alley and the bad guys come to the door and they have to hide from them. Where was the horse? We have to assume it was outside where they left it. So the bad guys didn't see it and Ali didn't even mention the possibility that those guys might have seen the horse and it would've been a dead giveaway that people were somewhere around. Wouldn't they als have to be worried about a group of walking dead might find the horse? And where on the hell is Viktor supposed to be? On vacation or something. Where, in this world do you go for a coupla nights away from home?

Lame, lame ass show.

Wtf
justdan202318 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The writing in this episode is too much for me to handle. I think I lost some brain cells. 😵

The episode is boring and I am actually sad Charlie was dying. I had forgiven her last season and you're just going to kill her? Especially when Madison is coming back. Damn these writers are lazy.

Surprise, surprise....
jasonklingensmith26 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
...they introduced a new character, made the entire episode centered around that character, and then killed them off.

This has been a trend of both this show and the main show for the past few years, and it's gotten old. You know, with roughly 99.9% certainty, that if the beginning of the episode introduces a new character, the episode will be about them, and they will die, all in the name of giving one of the main/supporting characters about 2 minutes worth of character development. It's really gotten stale.

Both shows have too many characters at this point. I wish the showrunners had the balls to actually kill off one of them. That's part of what made both TWD and FTWD so good in their first few years, was the fearlessness of the showrunners. You knew nobody was safe, and it made the show exciting and unpredictable. Now, it's the same thing over and over again. They need to get back to the basics, especially with both shows nearing their end.

Teen Romance Soap Opera
eadspaca9 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Awful teen romance that absolutely no one asked for, when will the writers of this show get their heads off their a***es and listen to the feedback that fans have been giving for the past few years?

And why does every new character die at the end of the episode leaving you with absolutely ZERO story development, it's incredible that a bunch of adults sat down and approved this, crazy. Even the acting sucks.

Possibly the worst episode in the twdu so far.

Awful episode
ethanjjacobs19 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I thought the second half of the season would be much better especially since madison is returning, but the first to episodes have been the worst ones the show has had, awful plot and Howard's acting was awful this show really needs to just end.

Did I Miss Something?
angieks2128 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Charlie is supposed to be 13? She definitely looks older than that. And Morgan sent her?? What episode did I miss where it shows them even finding each other again, and when did he ask her to go anywhere for him??? The acting from everyone is becoming so forced, and the telling of character stories are all over the place. I'm not really sure what the point of this episode was, besides the very last 30 seconds where June and John confirm that they're still on the "good side". But what is the good/bad side? Why are the groups even fighting? I'll never truly know...the writing and editing is so choppy, it's difficult to connect to anyone and understand what they're about. But I'm sure AMC and the producers will continue to spoil any stories and returning characters.

I guess ?
tristan_1917 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was meh at best. I'm not a fan of the romantic vibes, which felt really out of place. Alexa has so much potential. I just don't know why we need to settle for this. Find something interesting, I don't know.

I appreciate the long con element, with the concept of turning off the beacon light, but the execution wasn't great. And now Charlie has been exposed to radiation, just because ?

I loved the rooftop scene with Ali and Howard. The tension was really tangible in this scene. John Sr also seems to have a plan and will try to get Strand's ear. Apart from that, and some good acting by Alexa, I really don't know... Six butterflies out of ten, I guess ?

This just pissed me off
fqmqgsn18 April 2022
This anthology formula needs to end in season 8 or the show will. Adding new characters, sidelining the mains and wasting so much time with them just to have them killed off in a heartbeat. I was convinced I had to watch this show with TWD ending but now I'm only really watching for the girl who plays Lexa.

What Are The Writers Thinking
gbarrett-399419 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It is clear that the writers either don't know or don't care how radiation works. I'm not sure how gas masks protect against radiation or for that matter...wear is the Costco of gas mask, because they are more abundant than food. Also if we are in an alley and someone opens a door with Walkers at the opposite end, there is no possible way the last person gets killed who also has a gun. At this point the show should be called Fear the Writers of the Fear the Walking Dead. On a positive note... at least a bunch of writers are employed.

Good as Its Own, But Show Progression Needed
Coolmade200014 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I understand if some people will hate me for rating this episode high enough to be a 7 out of 10. I'll explain.

For the episode as its own, I'm really glad Charlie is given more story depth after being sidelined since season 5. I like Ali's character and the actor performed him well. Omid Abhati, who plays Howard, nails his performance. I've watched a couple of his work from Homeland, Call of Duty, and The Mandalorian, and I was so glad he got to perform at his fullest potential. I'm sort of a sucker with young character arcs and I found this episode meaningful and heartwarming.

Now for the critical feedback. It doesn't really help progress the show that much. I also notice the anthology storytelling style like most viewers to be a bit waste of time if the episode does not move the passing of the show's overall story that much forward.

I also do notice the trope with supporting characters like Will and Paul to be killed off within one episode. I'm not against it, but it reveals the showrunners' storytelling too much, like the audience is starting to predict better on how each episode is made.

The rest of the boost in my rating is by the production value.

Cringey
rmmil18 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Ali was 15. Charlie is supposed to be 13. It's a post apocalypse with few dating options. The age difference was the least of my concerns with this episode.

What was a concern for me is any time TWD universe attempts romance. They are just bad at it. The teens went from hating each other to true loves in less than 1 day.

What is this fetish with introducing brand new characters, spending nearly an entire episode developing them, only to kill them off in the same episode? It's a complete waste of time, considering there are SO MANY characters already in this show. If they must continue the anthology format there are plenty of people to concentrate on who are underused.

Oh, and where's Madison? The big tease, here we are 2 episodes in and it looks like we'll be 3 in and still a no show for Madison. I'm estimating...maybe by episode 15 or 16? So 5 more filler episodes to go.

I honestly just feel bad for the actors
grivers-7457926 April 2022
At this point, it's sad to watch. As an actor, you can only give so much in a performance of a script this badly written. These people's talents are wasted.

Please cancel this show.
mhorg201824 April 2022
First of all, what's with this one and done approach to characters? What's the point? Second, has any writer opened a science book? They have ZERO understanding of radiation, radiation sickness and fallout. Third, how about killing Charlie off? The nurse (over on walking being any kind of doctor is the kids of death) needs too go and Victor too. In fact, do everyone a favor and cancel this.

Am I the Only One Who Found this Episode Creepy?
homercles1118 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
They made a point of stating Charlie's age as 13 in the show. Then they have her in a "romantic" episode with a character who's age isn't given, but the actor is 19, and the character seems around that age.

That just seems very creepy for a mainstream show.

Fear the noncing dead Warning: Spoilers
19 year old actor kisses a 15 year old actor.

Another episode where they introduce characters just to kill them even though they have many characters that haven't had any plot lines in 2 seasons , get rid of Ian Goldberg and Andrew chambliss.

An improvement on last week, which isnt saying much
matp-4760018 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After the disaster that was episode 9, one of the worst Walking Dead universe episodes I have ever seen, this episode felt like a breath of fresh air.

Finally, Charlie got some character development for the first time since season 4. Its just a shame the actress who plays her is so wooden and stiff. Ali was a likeable character so his death was actually pretty dark and brutal even if it was predictable. One weakness of this show is introducing these random-ass NPC characters and killing them off in one episode, like the dude last week. Its getting very repetitive.

The real redeeming quality of this episode is that June, Howard and John Sr. All got some of the best scenes and owned them. June was a badass at the end and put Howard in his place, Howard was crazy and evil as hell this episode. Plus John was pretty cool too.

Looking forward to seeing my boys Dwight, Daniel and Morgan next week though.

Worse episode of FearTWD ever.
fountasalexander17 April 2022
This show has become so bad it's unpredictable what's gonna happen next. One minute Alicia is following a walker, and the next Charlie is having her own romantic episode.

I hate this show so much, it use to be great S1-3, what happened? F FearTWD.

Ali kissed with Charlie. Charlie fainted, because of the radiation. Ali and Charlie celebrate their love. Ali has become a ranger. Howard pushed Ali from the roof, he died instantly. Solid Episode of Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, this Episode was okay but not the level i want to see from this show. Now on to the next one!

Ads have better story than this.
singhravi-0098017 April 2022
Only watched this cause of TWD characters. But this is just pathetic and unwatchable.

Too Predictable .

There is literary no story as of now.

Badly written characters.

Character-wise episodes are even worst.

Z-Nation was 100+ better than whatever this is.

The apology continues - false bravado and illogical slosh
Rob-O-Cop20 April 2022
They're making these episodes like they have all the time in the world to make filler and they'll get round to (or not) solid story, sometime, maybe, probably forget about it,....

Specky side kick guy who's name we can't be expected to remember.

I don't get it. Never heard of a prison cell??? Just chucks people over the side??? Why would that kid knowing what he knows about the 'law' in that space ever risk breaking it and how does specky dude know every silly movement? They just fail miserably at selling this structure. It's just completely unbelievable. Nonsensical.

Then John Dory's widow and his dad feel they can act tough with the guy who throws people off buildings for minor infractions, and Specky backs down!!!, and John's dad does a chunk of exposition to tell us his long game, These are skilled actors walking through this clunky rubbish,..... I'm sincerely sorry they have to do this stuff to pay their rent. They deserve so much better.

Why do they feel the need to pair off every character?
lambo63725 April 2022
Stop with the romance stuff. Not every character needs to be paired off. Clearly they've run out of relationship ideas because now they're writing love episodes about the tweens? Come on... How about a little actual story progression or some decent action sequences instead of another hour worth of tedious filler that will be forgotten by tomorrow morning. What happened to this show? It's starting to feel more and more like the original TWD's later seasons with how much filler they're pumping into it. What a shame...

So much better than last episode
grlym-4684923 April 2022
This is the quality level of what a low point should be. If this can be true going forward. Then the show still has legs.

But we can't afford wasted episode junk like the last one. All these huge breaks between episodes kills show momentum too. So many good shows, actually far better shiws have been cancelled for less.
