And the OG hits just keep on coming!

Amazing! This lived up to what made the original so spectacular. Jason Ganzel is really an asset to the show, and you can tell he is bringing his experience from Desperate Housewives to Dynasty, which is working like a charm! Loved the episode and can't wait to see what's next.

Oh My God

This episode was everything I wanted and more! It looked beautiful, the jokes landed, the drama was keeping me hooked, everything just worked to perfection! Amanda, Fallon and Alexis stole this episode, and it is well deserved. Some of the best acting we've had from the show in a long time. I wish every episode was like this.

This is the best episode since Sallie Patrick was showrunner. Throughly impressed and renewed my love for Dynasty. Really hope the final episodes are THIS BLOODY GOOD.

Spoilers: Stars Make You Smile
gumbo24 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The episode is simply off the charts. Fallon was an absolute badass which we haven't seen for a long time. Her rivalry with Collin was fresh and the perfect entertainment for Dynasty. Their dynamic reminds me of early Fallon and Jeff and it's refreshing to see Fallon not act so desperate and needy all the time. This was the Fallon that needs no man. The only thing she needs is herself, and at the end of the day she pulled one from out under him and I adored every second of it. Amanda is the perfect addition to the Dynasty world. Does she and Alexis need Dex? Oh hell yes. But Amanda was written very strong this episode and her ties to the original and the added cushion room in her character went a long way to help us understand this Amanda. Alexis was on fire, she was on top of her game, reminded me a lot of Nicollette's Alexis which always oozed strength and power. Alexis shouldn't be some weak bimbo who has her own podcast, she should have her own Dynasty and be duelling Blake's for his, and I got a sense that this Alexis is nearly there, and that made me very excited. Even Kirby and Culhane, who I think are useless characters and only eat up screen time and should leave the show, found a purpose here. There storyline's certainly peaked my interest and the dialogue went a long way to sell them aswell. Finally, the directing. I always know when it's a Michael Allowitz episode because there are actually interesting shots that catch my eye and stuff is actually happening with the camera. He always seems to get the best episodes, and I hope we get more of him next season.

Dynasty is on the right path again
fabexox5 September 2021
Such a fabulous episode. Much rather when the characters are portrayed this way then last weeks where they are all desperate jokes. Fallon was sharp, Alexis was threatening, Blake was ruthless, Amanda was defiant. The list just keeps going on and on. Every storyline kept me hooked and engaged, and that hasn't happened since 4x13. This felt like what Dynasty is supposed to be. The only fault with the episode is that there was no Dominique haha! Big step up from last week regardless.

Amazing episode
addip-067075 September 2021
This episode was amazing! It was among the best episodes this season, together with the first two episodes and episodes 13. I have never seen Alexis written so well before. Episode 17 should be the blueprint for how Alexis' character should be approached, as a manipulative vixen. I do hope her wardrobe gets more colorful in later episodes though, but Alexis was on fire this week. 4x17 was Dynasty at it's best; great character development, great writing; a lot of drama and not to heavy on the comedy. Plus the directing was "movie-like" amazing, but it's no surprise as Michael Allowitz is for sure the show's best director, his work on Dynasty cannot be matched. I am so glad the writers are finally embracing the original Dynasty and not trying so hard to make it "a different show". The writer and the director of episode 17 should do every single episode of Dynasty. Bravo!

4x17 "Stars Make You Smile" Review
daviendancy5 September 2021
I loved this episode! It has to be one of the best episodes from this season and the entire show. Alexis, Amanda and Fallon were amazing! Hopefully, the last five episodes are as good as this one. Thank you Jason Ganzel for writing such an amazing episode!

All the praise in the world!!!
toxivo7 September 2021
This is really the best episode in a long time. Im impressed with Jason's work and am so glad he joined the show. Everything just worked about this episode in perfect synchronisation. Of course the writing was top notch, and that was by really feeling like a S1 episode {the best season}. Before David and Liz started poisoning the show with their musical crap and black and white episodes. Like what? Take that trash somewhere else, it doesn't belong on Dynasty. And its been proven it only massacres the fanbase. Soooooo. Please remove these snakes from Dynasty who don't love the fans or OG. Christopher Fife does, and once he becomes showrunner, he should give those obnoxious losers the boot.
