Screenwriters take note..great show ruined by Keene storyline..get over it
tzuki-451578 March 2021
Suddenly she is smarter than everyone..she dropped her gun in nearly every earlier episode..the "team" still says "Liz would never do that" ..last few episodes were back to the good old Blacklist..really hope screenwriters are watching these reviews and know the Elizabeth Keene story has ended once and for all..if anything else it makes an "elite" FBI force look weak and sentimental..about a rogue agent..get a grip and make this series great again around Reddington..not moaning Keene

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... CYRANOID!!!
nemesis-8823 March 2021
Seriously!? A CYRANOID!? So named after Cyrano de Bergerac!? The writers have completely lost their marbles. This is NOT a sci-fi show! Or at least it wasn't before this episode. Is this some kind of a punishment for us viewers? We didn't like their idiotic Katarina Rostova, so they decided to give us the (GOSH!) CYRANOID!? I want this show to either end or for Elizabeth Masha Keen Rostova Not-Reddington Who-Cares to be DEAD in the next episode. I'm crying actual tears thinking what a brilliant show it would be WITHOUT the talentless bimbo Boone and whoever that old hack is who played "Katarina Rostova".

Oh dear oh dear oh dear

Warning: Spoilers
What a pile of drivel.

As everyone else has said, what organisation doesn't change security codes after an employee leaves?!

I gather Megan Boone was MIA for part of this season because she had another baby at the time they would have been filming season 8. I have nothing against her, but have been enjoying the lack of "Keeness" As soon as she reappears (albeit virtually) the show dumbs and dulls down again.

It was like Blade Runner (1982) without the being good part.

This Keene is smart plot line is ridiculous
chrisgross-0498728 March 2021
Elizabeth Keene being constantly steps ahead of Redington and the fbi is ridiculous. Almost unwatchable.

Brain dead FBI and, Ugh!, Keen's back
itscoldiniowa-749858 March 2021
That FBI couldn't be trusted to handle a problem even if you prayed for them. They are totally out of their league in handling the people that come against them (the doppelgänger for instance). And how easily they give up codes and classified information. The last few episodes had been good that were free of Keen. But her being back and still in godmode is like covid to the show.

making Liz supersmart is one thing, but ...
Misha080914 August 2021
... showing us how dumb the FBI is is a whole new level.

1st: they always are finding excuses for Keen, WTF. She is a criminal PERIOD.

2nd: Did they really show us, that the FBI did not change any codes after Keen left?

3rd: Aram is really superdumb.

Fire all in the task force!

Uhh..
tthehunterman7 March 2021
I don't even know anymore. That has to be the least secure FBI facility in existence. People can literally walk in, kill suspects, and walk out while apparently no one works there but a total of 4 people. Unless you need an action scene, then some completely useless SWAT teams appear to run behind the main characters. They didn't even bother to change the security codes. After she broke in a few episodes ago to get her daughter. Were they like: she used it once so she probably won't suspect us to leave it the same? God! My fridge is more secure than this.

Miss Good Old Days.
oomanas6 March 2021
Never ever came to this platform to check reviews or what people used to say about this series. Since ending of season 7 and starting of this except 2-3 episodes this season is complete farce. Illogical methodology in script when it comes to Red vs Keen. This series is heading for a disaster. I am sorry being a die hard fan of this series especially James Spader I feel sorry for writing all this but blacklist is done out here. For this episode which was quite pacy and not boring tbf I will give 7.

Aram's bewildered eyes!
cjonesas13 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 9: Average plot, stupid decisions, unbelievable professional happenings! And marvelous Red Reddington's hypnotic influence as always.

The writers have truly run out of ideas and it shows itself. Do not weaken the Force and change those codes for starters.

Almost every reviewer is berserk on that!

How to ruin a show with Keen without having Keen show up
meelkliko6 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
By Jove, the writers did it, they found a way to ruin this episode with a dose of "Keen-crap" without Megan Boone, showing up as Keen. (BTW I have nothing against the Actress, just the farce they made of the character she has to play) Keen has now even got more phenomenal, she knows all the ways to steer her detained "avatar" through an highly secure and probably (at least should be) radio/transmission proof FBI facility to murder another detainee, manipulate super crooks, that should be suspicions of strangers with that act (bogus: because the act itself proof nothing about trustworthiness, just treacherousness) and of course is smarter then said supercrook, who is now her "ally", Red, the FBI including Aram who seems to have an IQ of below 60 once he leaves his keyboard, her one-night lover-boy and most likely God itself. This nonsense is going from bad to worse, the producers would do well to terminate the Keen story line as soon as possible. Short of her being abducted by Aliens and given all encompassing knowledge, cunning, skill etc, no excuse could be found for this (and yes that wouldn't be an excuse at all). Stop insulting our intelligence with this. 3 stars for a nice idea with the avatar/doppelgangers idea.

A Copycat Liz
ZegMaarJus4 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Dembe and Red, they found Liz (The Cyranoid). 12 hour before that: Harold is investigating if Red is N-13. Mary got arrested by Park. Someone pretends to be Elizabeth Keen. The Taskforce arrested 'Liz'. Red tells to Harold that the woman who plays Liz is 'The Cyranoid'. The Cyranoid strangles Mary to death. Red talks with Liz trough The Cyranoid. Dembe traced Liz. Nice Episode of The Blacklist Season 8, this episode was also a classic The Blacklist episode!

Please end this.
mlyhancock11 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
NO ONE CARES ABOUT KEEN. This storyline is obnoxious and ridiculous. Elizabeth is and always has been an absolute moron. You can't just suddenly make her into a mastermind who is able to easily and consistently outsmart seasoned criminals, especially one like Reddington. And don't even get me STARTED on the terrible decision making and utter stupidity of the FBI "agents". They still haven't even changed the security codes? Seriously?! Please end this storyline. Show Keen to be the idiot she is, let Reddington easily outsmart her like he should, and finally kill her. Please.

Reminiscent to the good old Blacklist -in some sence-
phoenixstephan7 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Well, in contrast to a lot of other reviews I believe that this was an intresting episode. The cyranoid idea was quite good, suits well with the current video-conferencing reality and though there are some plot holes, I think people forget that Katarina revealed "as much as she knew" to Elizabeth in season 7. I wouldn't be suprised if getting to Mary Bremmer to lure Townsend out was Katarina's plan and Liz is just moving forward with it (remember that Katarina's plan was revolving around Townsend; to fool him with the Kajanjian Brothers in order to get resources, not so different from LIz and Skip). I have to admit that the whole "you killed my mommy" and "the task force can't touch me" theme is quite annoying, yet I think it's getting better with the "Alliance" of Liz and Townsend. Also the viewers had the chance to know more clues about Townsend, his directive and Red's 30 year mission. The task force are a bunch of idiots at times, but remember Anslo Garrick; they were totaly destroyed. I do believe that the writting is getting kinda weak, but I also believe that most people are overeacting (it's not the first time the show's progress was slow and the plot somewhat annoying). I certaintly don't want this season to return to the 13 ounces scheme and I have to admit I would hesitate to watch this show if this was the first season. It's getting better, I hope, and the latest episodes were just a failed attempt to bridge the gap between Katarina's awekening and Townsend's revenge.

Ridiculous!!
patriciafisher-463426 March 2021
This show is becoming beyond redemption! Please just quit. I don't think even James Spader can save this show at this point. Does this story even know where it's going at this point?

Not bad
neverenoughgold11 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In spite of the plethora of vitreous reviews, I found this episode quite entertaining. A lot of Reddington as well as the rest of the current staff, and just a "hint" of Elizabeth Keen.

Will Liz return, in her present self, only time will tell. As for me, although I am tired of the Elizabeth storyline, and think the show can do better, I have hopes for better. I am not giving up on Red...

Get the Liz show over!! I want the old Blacklist back!!
ahmadjor6 March 2021
I have no clue what even happened. Will have to watch it again. But, I do know that I no longer care for Liz and her current storyline. I've said it before... I'm rather Keen on this prolonged Liztlessness... Red and his gang are the best part of the show for me.

This is RIDICULOUS
kh-alkhateb16 March 2021
This show is is heading for a very very deep ride down hill, it's irritating that agent keen is exaggeratedly shown smarter than what she actually is, I mean a man like Raymond who used to find extraordinary criminals on the blacklist, is being fooled by an angry kid ?!! Seriously now?

Wtf
rafikabdellaoui6 March 2021
I think agent keen somehow using the money she stole from redington managed to develop a device that sucks all the intelligence from her enemies and diverting it to her, she like a God now and she doesn't even have to be on the show, it's the only logical explanation. Anyway, at this point I don't even care anymore, just let this garbage end please

Absurd plot, bumbling, fumbling, illogical, irritating. No one cares or enjoys the Liz v. Red episodes. Last week was a 10, this week was very disappointing!

Just do a mini reboot
confidential-678976 March 2021
Liz has turned out to be the worse character in living memory, just end this storyline for the love of God. Kill her off and led Red go after some bad guys again.
