Keen is annoying
tezzahols23 January 2021
I hope this is the last season, the show has run out of steam and Elizabeth has become annoying, she is like an ex wife wanting revenge for an imaginary situation, she makes you want to never get married now or again, maybe with her gone the show will improve

Warning: Spoilers
"I won't be lectured by you on professional ethics" You tell her Harold! Fancy speaking to your boss like that! And then scamming poor Aram. She really is a piece of work.

Keen has her head so far up her own ar*e that she can't see straight, and hasn't for ages. She just dumps her kid on anyone, guess she got her mother's maternal instinct.....

How is she any better than Red, when she planned to murder him in cold blood?

I'm with most of the reviewers, the show has lost its way, and become a soap opera instead of the sometimes silly but still entertaining crime drama it used to be. Also like most reviewers, I'm only still here for the charismatic Mr Spader, but even his character is being reduced to a shell of his former self.

Liz is the absolute worst. Ever.
mlyhancock23 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, so Liz has always been an absolute idiot, a terrible detective, and overall a giant waste of space.

Reddington has saved her life countless times because she got into trouble being an utter moron, yet she chose Katarina over him-why? Because Reddington wouldn't share all of his secrets? She's a stupid, whiny little brat, and I've never hated a television character so much.

Then she tries to act as if she's got some kind of moral high ground, despite kidnapping her own grandfather, which resulted in his death (Not to mention the other crimes she's committed that Raymond helped her get out of). But she gets mad at Reddington for killing katarina, and tells Harold "I know what she's done [i.e. Russian spy, killed numerous Americans, tried to kill Reddington, etc.]- but that doesn't give him the right to execute her." THEN SHE TRIES TO MURDER RAYMOND BECAUSE OF IT! Hypocrite, much???? Seriously, she's the absolute worst protagonist in the history of television, and she needs KILLED OFF. Not just written off. She needs a satisfying, well-deserved, death.

It's time to end the Liz character.
ahmadjor23 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I hope this season is not going to be a game of cat and mouse. Because it will get real old very quickly.

Liz is a weak heel. With all Red's resources and contacts over the years are we supposed to believe she can pose a challenge? I mean...he dropped hellfire missiles? If they go far with her challenging him...I might be done.

And reddingtons security searches se purse but doesn't find the giant bomb in it. Give me a break what a joke!

Okay, I agree with some ratings

Warning: Spoilers
I too am tired of the Elizabeth thing, and hope she leaves soon. Now, will that happen soon or even sooner? Hard to say, but for me it cannot happen soon enough! This show has been incredible entertainment for 8 seasons now, but it's time for a change. Either the storyline or something, but drastic change is needed. The sooner, the better!

It's killing me to watch this show die because of Lizzy
michael-8595426 January 2021
This is, err WAS an amazing show. Spader has created arguably one of the best characters ever. However, this show started dying when they moved away from the "List". Each episode focused on a new villain to take down and Red would help take them out while usually having his own reasons for doing so. This show is and always should be able Reddington, not Liz. It was much easier taking Lizzy with smaller doses in these self-contained episodes.

The big problem started when they moved away from the "List" and created long story arcs that nobody cares about. Additionally, Lizzy became more and more ridiculous. She loves Red, she hate Red, back and forth. She can also disobey orders and basically do whatever the hell she wants and all is forgiven when she decides to bless everyone by returning to work. Just wow.

Viewers have stopped caring about this whole Katerina thing LONG ago, yet they keep beating this dead horse. Lizzy's off the rails again and won't even entertain the idea of listening to Red's explanation. Her boss and colleagues seem perfectly fine with the idea of her hunting down and killing Red even though she is (or was) an FBI agent. Blowing up a hospital room is just fine. You do you, Liz.

Either get back to the old format that made the show awesome, or kill off Liz and start a new and better show called "Reddington". Spader is just a privilege to watch. If the network wants a hit show, go with the second option.

its all about red's history
ahmad-awada-00723 January 2021
We all know that Liz has two faces, but in the end I think she will choose red in terms of what happens now and what will happen next, all about the answers of the red history if he was honest with her from the beginning all things were fine and I repeat it all related to the answers of the history of Red

Unbelievably stupid
georgellama23 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Liz is so intelligent that she uses a bomb to kill a severely ill weapon she uses a bomb in a hospital. The bomb potentially would kill several people. A much simpler way of killing Red would be to simply inject an air bubble into his IV. No collateral damage, a confirmation of the kill and Liz's accomplice might not be blamed, but we need loud, obvious actions that will result in a failed attempt.

Poor attempt, heroic counter-action
cjonesas25 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The only thing more entertaining than the show and this episode, is the senseless and snail-brain ratings of 1 to 4 here.

Don't like The Blacklist with Liz Keen in it?! Don't watch it please! OR wait for the next season.

Sadly the time has come to end this once captivating show gracefully. We have been watching the deadly consequences of Red's secrets and Liz's stupid decisions for 8 seasons! This episode is an insult to the intelligence.

Keens character is terrible
jakelaville-g28 January 2021
Keens emotions/decisions/personality are so unrealistic and stupid it is painful to watch. Firstly keen has been painful to watch throughout many seasons, not just now. But this is the straw that broke the camels back. Katarina is a stranger, a neighbour, you wouldn't just immediately trust this person to look after your child... not with the history keen has and experiences she's faced. You wouldn't love this stranger Katarina after such a short time of knowing her and she hasn't done anything for you.. a mother is meaningless If you basically have no memories or experiences with her. She's a stranger. red has saved your life countless times.... spent several years with you, but you'll betray him easily... ridiculous. The secrets she is searching for aren't even hers... so childish and entitled, prepared to kill her grandad to get the truth, she shouldn't be so naive when considering every thing that has happened. Where is her character growth?! It's like she's still an immature mess. I have to wonder if the writers suffer short term memory loss and forget what's happened before. Plus they clearly have no grasp on realistic emotions. This show has always been about Raymond.. it literally just needs him interacting with the other characters (task force/enemies/comrades) and solving cases/doing crimes and balancing his emotions from savage assassin to soft and kind. It doesn't need keen at all anymore. If there was a way to kill her off I'd definitely be happy. It should be a ruthless killing like the first time with Kaplan but actually successful, then red protects Agnes and tries to do better this time hahaha now If the show expects me to be believe that useless agent keen can now outsmart lifelong master criminal and strategist Raymond Reddington then it's just a complete crackpot story plot. Raymond would outsmart and deal with keen in half an episode. She has shown no evolution considering what she just attempted in this episode.. I hope this absurdity doesn't continue for the whole season.

Episode 3 season 8, unbearable.
riquelmy26-882-41662025 January 2021
For the first 2 episodes (season 8), I forced myself to watch them out of loyalty; however, for episode 3, 10 minutes of watching Elizabeth and her nonesense were too much to handle. I can't believe writers are so obsessed with making her an important character. Believe me, she is not. The show would get better without her. Since it is obvious season 8 will be all about her idiotic vendetta, I think I will stop watching it. Perhaps I will try again in season 9 if she has not killed the show then. Too bad! Great show ruined by a character.

oh boy
Lythas_8525 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Guess I'm not the only one who thinks Keene just be offed fast She's a hypocrite.. ungrateful and stupid. She thinks herself above everyone and everything.. she chose her mother over Reddington.. she whines about him killing her.. he doesn't have the right to execute katarina.. but on the other hand, she does.. she can kill reddington.. and she kinda forgot she has a kid.. and that kid doesn't have another parent alive.. so if she goes down, the baby will grow up alone. So I think rationale has gone through the window and since we don't have any more interesting storylines and blacklisters... we ended up with this ridiculous storyline. Keene even ended up a bit feminist with Harold.. anybody got that "men trying to save me" or some bs similar to that... couldn't be more ungrateful than that with her sexist comment.. From one of the best shows and now with the most terrible story arcs ever That's sad

Please, somebody kill Liz!
boy_afraid26 January 2021
Let's face it. Red is "the blacklist", Dembe is OK, the FBI team is stupid even compare to Get Smart!, BUT Keen's character is the most annoying, childish, unbearable and boring ever. She might not killed Red, but she killed this one great show.

Keene, andeho onviously kills the credibility of this once great show
jcrommenacker24 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The role is so inconsisten and illogical, I wonder if the IQ of the writers is above 25. We got a mediocre fbi agent that owes everything, including her career and life, over and over to one man. Yet she sides with a womsn who may or may not be her biological (if any at all) mother. For this woman, who never even bothered to contact her till she needs Keene to trap Red, Keene kidnaps her grandfather, who as a result dies, lies, incriminates her friends, by forging signatures and false leads and blows up a hospital room. What irks me the most is that she always wuestions to the tiniest details what Red plan and does, Her distrust bordering, if not surpassing paranoia, but she blindly follows the lead of her aledged mother, who for sll Keene knows, might as well be a foreign agent or representative of a criminal cabal we saw in earlier seasons, All 'evidence' Keene has is the word of a woman, that started off lying to her off the bat. The acting of her has gone gradualy worse as her role got more inconsistent and is now ny far the worst of the cast. Time to kill her off, before ehe kills the show.

Keen and Her Mother UGH!
aguynameddrew2 February 2021
If i could build a time machine, i would travel back in time to when the Blacklist writers first started out on the Keen and her Mother storyline and i would tell them to just not do that at all!

Keen got very annoying mid series when she decided to whisper all her lines. But at least Red was doing cool stuff against cool blacklist criminals so it was still a great show. A bunch of people must have complained because eventually she went back to talking normally.

Here i am watching season 8 and i am literally yelling at the screen "I DON'T CARE!!" every time Keen or her mother appear on screen or are talked about by other people on the show. During my trip back in time i would have given the writers future stock tips in exchange for them dropping Elizabeth Keen and maybe doing a Tom Keen timeline instead.

This used to be such a great show but now it's more cringe worthy than i can tolerate

OGROGUE29 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
My God, do the showrunners understand that we love this show because of REDDINGTON not LIZ ughhhhhhh. This episode was in fact the worst episode of the show. Don't even doubt it. No one is relating to liz! She literally bombed a freaking hospital and a scene later they show her talking to her kid on the phone like this is OK in ANY capacity! Enough is enough.
