Paula Deen is passing on the paso doble. In the Aug. 19 issue of Us Weekly (on stands Friday), a Dancing With the Stars source says the former Food Network star, 66, turned down an offer to compete on the ABC smash. "The dance floor is not the appropriate forum for her," explains a Deen source. (The Paula's Best Dishes host was dropped by the Food Network in June after she admitted to once using the N-word during a videotaped deposition. The Southern star has also lost [...]...

Paula Deen has a very powerful ally ... 'cause undefeated boxing champ Laila Ali tells TMZ she's still got Deen's back, even after the n-word controversy. Right before Deen's kingdom came crumbling down, Laila joined Deen on the Food Network show "Paula's Best Dishes" back in April to cook up some Cloverleaf Rolls, Brussels sprouts, stewed beef and cheese grits. Since her appearance, Deen has basically been branded a racist due to the fact she admitted using the N-word in private.

Paula Deen has rescheduled her date with Matt Lauer. Three days after skipping out on an interview on Today, the celeb chef has now agreed to appear on the program this Wednesday. "She has told us she will be here this time," Lauer said on Monday morning. Last Friday, Deen issued an apology video following her admission to using the N-word during a video deposition as part of a $1.2 million lawsuit filed by a former employee. Apparently, though, it wasn't enough for the Food Network, which dropped Deen amid the controversy, putting an end to such shows as Paula's Home Cooking and Paula's Best Dishes. "Food Network will not renew Paul Deen's contract when it...

The Food Network may no longer enjoy Paula Deen's cooking, but her fans are still standing by her side. After the network known for hosting Deen's shows like Paula's Home Cooking and Paula's Best Dishes dropped the cook amidst the recent N-word controversy, her fans are attempting her rescue. Or at least showing her support. A "We Support Paula Deen" Facebook page has been created and already has more than 200,000 "likes." The Facebook page for Deen was created by a supporter, who wrote: "Recently Food Network personality Paula Deen has issued an apology for statements that she has made in the past. Let's support her as she moves...

Looks like Paula Deen's apology hasn't smoothed things over. Food Network has dropped Paula Deen amidst the N-word controversy that erupted yesterday, putting an end to such shows as Paula's Home Cooking and Paula's Best Dishes, E! News has confirmed. "Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month," the network says in a statement. Last month in a video deposition that was part of $1.2 million lawsuit filed against her by a former employee, Deen admitted to using the N-word and to telling what could be perceived as racist jokes. "It's just what they are—they're jokes...most jokes are about Jewish people,...

New York — Paula Deen should hope for more fans like Jennifer Everett of Tyler, Texas, who carried a shopping bag filled with $53 worth of merchandise from the celebrity chef's Georgia store on Thursday. A day earlier, it was revealed that Deen admitted during questioning in a lawsuit that she had slurred blacks in the past.
"Who hasn't ever said that word?" Everett said. "I don't think any less of her. She's super friendly. She's a warm person who wouldn't hurt a fly."
Deen's admission that she had used the N-word in the past wasn't the first time the queen of comfort food's mouth had gotten her into big trouble. She said in 2012 that for three years she hid her Type 2 diabetes while continuing to cook the calorie-laden food that's bad for people like her.
Hypocrisy is one thing, hostility another. From her days as a divorced mother selling bag lunches on the streets of Savannah,...

Paula Deen is again defending herself after an admission went public this week about her past use of the N-word. The celebrity chef has come under fire after a newly filed deposition revealed that she used the widely condemned racial slur years earlier. On Wednesday, her lawyer released a statement that said the 66-year-old Food Network star "does not condone or find the use of racial epithets acceptable." A day later, Paula Deen Enterprises released a new statement echoing that position. "During a deposition where she swore to tell the truth, Ms. Deen recounted having used a racial epithet in the past,...

Paula Deen has lost 30 pounds since announcing she has diabetes by changing her own diet and her overall lifestyle. However, new episodes of Paula's Best Dishes are waiting to be aired on the Food Network that feature the celebrity chef's signature fatty recipes. The episodes are said to have been shot well before Deen's announcement.
"Paula has shot and delivered episodes of her Food Network Show that would take her show through all of 2012," a source said. "The only problem is that they [were] all shot and delivered before her big announcement and before she started changing her eating habits." ...

Paula Deen opens up to Nancy O'Dell about overcoming the crippling panic disorder agoraphobia, which at times kept her from leaving her home for weeks at a time.
In part two of her revealing new Et interview, Paula Deen opens up to Nancy O'Dell about overcoming the crippling panic disorder agoraphobia, which she says triggered so much fear that it kept her from leaving her home for weeks at a time.
"I would have panic attacks and my arms would go numb and you feel like you're having a heart attack," Paula tells Nancy about symptoms of the anxiety disease during an interview at her sprawling Savannah, Ga estate. "And I kept a brown bag next to me at all times so I could quickly breathe in it. It's just a fear that would come over you like no other."
