A Brummie mugger, disguised as Father Christmas is operating in the area, Cottam tired to get Bob and Louis to hunt for him on Christmas day, but the pair refuse, determined to to enjoy the festive day.
The show was obviously well loved, and a success with viewers, so it came as no surprise that a Christmas special came, and it's a good one.
Some hilarious scenes, that moment where The Super pops round for dinner is a scream, and that bit in the garage, brilliant, but that opening sequence, with Hilary Mason trying to identity the miscreant Father Christmas is absolutely hilarious, she did such a wonderful line in vinegary old spinsters.
Philip Whitchurch does a fine job as Kelvin, so good in comedy and drama, cracking actor.
There are some very funny ones liners, and some duff ones, but all in all, it's a very funny watch, end it's nice to learn a little more about Bob.
Christmas joy.
8/10.
