The first two, jaw-dropping episodes of Vanderpump Rules are nothing compared to the rest of the season, according to Lisa Vanderpump.
Season six opened with a bang (no pun intended) when it was revealed that Jax Taylor cheated on longtime girlfriend Brittany Cartwright with her friend and former Sur co-worker, Faith Stowers. At first Jax denied Faith's claims, but by episode two he confessed to doing the deed.
“Trust me, I'm the producer on that show, and when I saw episode two, I'm thinking, 'This should be the finale,’” Lisa tells Et. “It's so explosive. It's like, how did we get there so quickly? We got there because Jax Taylor is driving that bus.”
“It's a fast and furious ride,” she adds. “Anything that starts with 'I heard' I normally don't believe, but when it comes to Jax Taylor, unfortunately, I do. So, he's guilty kind of before he's proven innocent … He doesn't understand that life's not all about...

Harvey Weinstein has issued an official statement in reaction to an article published by The New York Times on Thursday in which a handful of former employees and associates accused the media mogul of sexual abuse that spans decades.
One of the accusers is actress Ashley Judd, who revealed Weinstein had asked her to watch him take a shower in a hotel room. “Women have been talking about Harvey amongst ourselves for a long time, and it’s simply beyond time to have the conversation publicly,” she told The Times. A former assistant, meanwhile, says she gave Weinstein a massage while he was naked, and that’s one of many allegations against the mogul in the article.

Okay, let’s get something out of the way before I proceed any further: I love DC. I love the Arrowverse. Heck, I regularly cosplay as the Green Arrow and do a fine job of it. Still, I can’t help but be highly indifferent when it comes to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a series that I find to be a lot of fun but doesn’t quite reach the bar that its brethren in Arrow and The Flash do.
My reasoning is that while the cast obviously has a blast shooting this (Dominic Purcell’s Heat Wave easily steals the show) and most episodes provide for some thrilling science fiction adventures, it’d be hard to identify it as a DC show if you took words such as “Firestorm,” “the Atom,” and “Vixen” out of a number of the teleplays. Blackfish, The Act Of Killing - we celebrate the great documentaries distributed by the UK's Dogwoof...
Did you know that around 20 percent of the films released in the UK are documentaries? It’s a surprisingly large figure. I think the reason behind it might be that ‘documentary’ is considered to be a genre in and of itself. “And the Academy Award for best documentary feature goes to…”. They're all lumped into the same bracket. Also, they're relatively cheap to make and can be assembled independently by a team of only a few people. Success at the box office is often down on the priorities list for creators wanting to spread a message, tell a story or get a point across and, when they only need to recoup that small amount to be considered successful, documentary cinema becomes fertile ground for ambitions to grow in.

In addition to claiming her ex Rob Kardashian “punched” her, Blac Chyna is now detailing the reality star’s “multiple” suicide threats.

Kathy Griffin is speaking out after receiving backlash for a controversial photo shoot with photographer Tyler Shields, in which she posed with a bloodied replica of President Donald Trump's head.
On Friday, the 56-year-old comedian and her attorney, Lisa Bloom, addressed the media to "explain the true motivation behind the image, and respond to the bullying from the Trump family she has endured," Griffin's rep said in a statement ahead of the press conference.
Bloom first spoke on Griffin's behalf as she stood beside her, and argued that the former My Life on the D-List star has the "right to publicly parody the president." Griffin's lawyer explained that the photo was designed to make fun of Trump's comments he made about Megyn Kelly when he told CNN during his presidential campaign that she had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever." Bloom added that Griffin "never imagined" that people would see the...

Jamie Foxx is weighing in on Kathy Griffin's controversial photo shoot, and sharing his thoughts on the importance of comedy in society.
The Oscar winner spoke with Et's Denny Directo at the launch party for Prive Revaux luxury sunglasses at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Thursday, where he opened up about the fallout surrounding Griffin's photo shoot, in which she held a facsimile of President Donald Trump's severed head.
"Listen, as comedians, sometimes you do go beyond, past the line," Foxx admitted. "I still love Kathy Griffin. She went past the line, she'll pay for it in the way she pays for it, and we'll go out and we'll laugh with her again."

Stop me if you've heard this one before: In a world where evil corporations rule a future dystopian Earth, an ordinary man fights to find the one he loves against insurmountable odds!
Yeah, sounds Very familiar. That basically sums up Incorporated Season 1 Episode 1, and that's not a good thing.
The "Evil Corporation" trope is tired and worn out, but it keeps cropping up like a bad penny. From Rollerball, Soylent Green, Robocop, the Alien films, Elysium, and Snowpiercer, the list goes on and on.
Sci fi has always been, at it's best, a drastic take on our societal fears, going all the way back to the 1950's nuke mutated bug movies to today's fear of technology shows like Black Mirror.
The devil, as they say, is in the details. It's an old show pony, but if the story is well done, then we can at least enjoy a new take on the same old,...

Talk about wish fulfillment. Aaron Paul, who starred in AMC's Breaking Bad- considered by many to be one of the finest TV shows ever produced- has had a dream role in mind for quite sometime. You may have heard about the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower that is inching its way towards production. You have also heard about how it's taken forever for everything to come together, with several studios, writers, directors, and actors coming and going from the ambitious project. What you may not know, is that Paul is something of a super fan, and he's been lobbying for the role of Eddie Dean in the book. A new report claims that Paul may have finally snagged his dream gig.
If true, this would be the end of an odyssey that began back in 2012 when Paul made his intentions very clear:

With friends like these, Yolanda Foster certainly doesn't need any enemies. The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kicked off tonight with the (sadly, soon-to-be divorced) Yolanda still in the throes of debilitating illness thanks to lyme disease diagnosis three years ago and to see her in such a diminished capacity was, well, shocking. She revealed that she hadn't driven a car in three years. She barely leaves her house. She can hardly sit through twenty minutes of Lisa Rinna's birthday dinner. She admits, "Trust me, if it wasn't for my kids, I would've jumped off the balcony already." Even more shocking? The way co-stars Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd spoke...

Part of the appeal of indulging in art and entertainment is offering your own interpretation on the subjects, themes and underlying concepts. That may sound pretentious, but I stand by my statement. In movies, books and video games, it’s not uncommon for the creators to slip in hidden meanings that aren’t obvious at a cursory glance.
I’m not necessarily talking about high-end culture, either. Even Mario has its fair share of theories and fan readings. Concepts that are bizarre and abstract – such as the world Mario inhabits – are rife for interpretation, but we often oversee them in favour of a narrative that’s relatively straightforward. The 8-bit plumber may spend a large portion of his life diving into giant pipes and giving anthropomorphic mushrooms a concussion, but we know his motives, so we just go along with it.

Yeah. I know.
But hey, it'll be cool to walk into a theater and see this in-person, won't it? It'll make it somehow more real that this is all actually happening. The rumored teaser trailer attached to Jupiter Ascending...

There’s no denying that platformers have played a major role in gaming history, but it’s also true that good ones are few and far between. That’s especially true these days, where first-person shooters and large scale action-adventure games have stolen the limelight from the genre that Mario defined. Perhaps it’s because it’s so hard to make a great one, what with the need for precise controls, near flawless jumping mechanics and a unique draw to set it apart from the many others out there. Or, maybe it’s just a sign of the times.
Like Nintendo and Ubisoft, to an extent, Flying Wild Hog and Nordic Games aren’t willing to let the sidescrolling dream die. Their latest — a PS3, Xbox 360 and PC digital download bearing the strange name of Juju — harkens back to the platformers of yesteryear, while mixing together mechanics that borrow from both the past and present.

Back in April, for twelve weeks straight, I reviewed a different Werner Herzog movie as they came available on the streaming service Fandor.com . Now the site is preparing for Halloween with a very special release of Kino Lorber's new 4K restoration of Robert Wiene's classic horror thriller The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari exclusively on the site beginning Halloween. And on that day (October 31st), and for one day only, the film will be available to everyone, even if you do not have a Fandor subscription! However, I have a special gift for one (1) lucky reader, a one (1) year subscription to Fandor.com and beyond the Herzog titles and the release of Caligari there is a lot more to explore. For example, also in celebration of Halloween, the site has George A. Romero's 1698 zombie classic Night of the Living Dead as well as Romero's original 1973 feature The Crazies.

At the heart of the ABCs of Death series is something I absolutely cherish about horror cinema; the ability to take a short story and convey an idea that terrifies (or if we’re lucky grosses out). It strips out the bullshit ie all those love plots and pieces of character development that are wholly unnecessary to a good horror story. Horror shorts, anthology films and portmanteaus truly are my favorite way to watch horror fiction. From Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark to Stephen King’s Night Shift. From Dead of Night to Creepshow. Bite size stories to tell around a campfire or underneath the covers or to read on the beach, that’s the way to consume horror in small portions.
ABCs of Death was comprised of 26 filmmakers creating horror fiction based on a letter of the alphabet and the sequel follows suit. No wrap story just right on into the sequence,...

Wes Anderson's new film features a blizzard of star cameos, but one character is present throughout - the lobby boy played by Tony Revolori. He talks about getting threats from Bill Murray and reveals his grand ambitions
For Tony Revolori, the scariest moment of making The Grand Budapest Hotel was meeting Bill Murray, not least because the actor was threatening to throw his dad in the hotel's swimming pool. "He was like, 'I've thrown parents in the pool before, don't make me throw you,'" says Tony, adopting a hangdog look and mimicking Murray in the lowest, most droll voice possible. What a busy twelve months it’s been for costume design. Really though, this art, or craft, or business (Deborah Nadoolman Landis insists it is definitely a business) gets more talked about each year. 2013 was especially exciting however as it seemed every month something even more thrilling arrived to fawn over. In the last few weeks alone we have had The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Sleepy Hollow, and now American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street on the horizon. Dipping back further, it was Stoker that got us excited about subtext, The Great Gatsby that slammed the lid on that twenties revival once and for all, and Behind the Candelabra that put Michael Douglas in a 16ft fox fur cape and white brocade jumpsuit.

I didn’t pick up or play Animal Crossing: New Leaf this year, and I’m still not entirely sure why. It’s definitely not anything specific that the series did to wrong me or turn me away – I’ve been a fan since the original GameCube entry, after all, and I don’t think there will ever come a time when I completely tire of what those cute little anthropomorphs have to offer. Despite rumblings that New Leaf was the best Animal Crossing to date, and that it offered endless charm and amusement, I just couldn’t… pull… the trigger. Maybe I was tired of Tom Nook’s antics. Maybe my tree-chopping, bell-hoarding, material wealth-gathering alter ego needed some time off. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s that this year, I was meant to try Rune Factory 4 instead.

I love attempting to collect my thoughts before a film review only to mutter the phrase “How the f#ck am I supposed to review this film” over and over again. What movie, you ask? Oh, why a little flick called Only God Forgives, which got ferociously booed at Cannes.
There’s honestly a bloody war being waged in my mind right now. On one hand, Nicolas Winding Refn’s second pairing with Ryan Gosling exists as an abstract piece of artwork that absolutely gets a gold star for technique, presentation, ambiance, and every other visual category. On the other hand, Refn takes the minimalistic storytelling utilized in Drive, which critics gobbled up, and strips the skeleton down even further, producing a script that couldn’t have been more than 10 pages. Abysmal story work, exploitative violence, more mute Gosling – yet shot for shot the film was utterly beautiful to watch.

If you thought things took a turn (or a few turns) last week, just wait til you see tonight’s season finale of Defiance. The turns will make your head spin. You’ll want to watch live, so you don’t get spoiled, but you’ll also want to record it, so you can watch some parts again. Trust me. You’ll also want to watch these videos, so you’re fully prepared for the episode, with everything fresh in your mind.
We have, for the last time until the show returns in 2014, the standard three: recap, TV spot preview, and first four minutes of the new episode – actually almost exactly four minutes! We also have a “Shooting the Shtako” featurette with showrunner Kevin Murphy chattin’ with Grant Bowler and Tony Curran about last week’s episode. It’s still a hoot to listen to Tony Curran‘s Scottish brogue...

Rob threw a star-studded party on June 22 to celebrate his friend, Nick Jarecki’s birthday, but there was one famous guest in particular who piqued our interest — the author of ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey!’ After Rob and E.L. partied together, is there still a chance he could be cast in the movie?
On April 24, a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Alex Pettyfer would be playing Christian Grey, the titular character in the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey. But still, nothing has been set in stone. And now with news that Fifty Shades author, E.L. James was in attendance at a big Robert Pattinson bash on June 22, the question remains — could R-Patz actually land the role after all?

While I haven’t seen the movie it’s named for, I was familiar enough with it to know that "Magic Longworth" was going to involve male strippers. However, as expected when Jim is involved, the stripped in question was a dead one.
This episode got off to a rocky start with the “everyone race to a car” scene when Captain Manus said they had an officer down. I could understand her and Jim rushing to find out who the officer was, but the choice of having a bunch of officers (in and out of uniform) racing to their cars just felt odd.
Especially considering that Carlos and Daniel were already there. There should have been officers five-man deep by the time Jim and Colleen showed up after seeing how many left the station.
Besides, Daniel walking around with his badge in his hand should have been the first give...

Forget your body clock: any time of day finds film fans watching Nicolas Winding Refn's tense, brutal thriller, Sorrentino's beguiling look at fading beauty or Soderbergh's tremendous Liberace biopic. Then there's the Coens' hoot of a movie and Carla Bruni's sister's comedy. But which will win the big prize?
At 7.30am on Cannes's main strip people wearing dinner jackets and cocktail dresses held handwritten signs that read "Only God Forgives", triple-underlined, and "Please! Only God Forgives!" They might have been members of a doomsday cult, one with an imperious dress code, but no: a Ryan Gosling film was about to premiere in the Grand Théâtre Lumière and this lot were ticketless, hoping by dressing smartly to pick up last-minute invites. They looked on while several hundred of us filed in for 90 minutes of early-morning ultra-violence.

Ah, yes, the trials and tribulations of interviewing an actor about the role he's playing when that actor can't really talk about said role. Or, as Benedict Cumberbatch jokes about his notoriously secretive "Star Trek Into Darkness" director, J.J. Abrams, "He's right here now with a gun pointed to my head." (At least I think he's kidding.)
As you probably know by now, the identity of Cumberbatch's "Star Trek Into Darkness" character -- a character that causes much havoc for the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, while his motivations remain unclear -- has been purposely shrouded in mystery. You probably also know that rumors persist that Cumberbatch is reprising a quite popular villain from a prior "Star Trek" film. (And if you don't know already, a quick check of IMDb will fill you in.)

War? Huh? What is it good for? Now some would say absolutely nothing. I would tend to agree, on the socio-political side of things. Wars are messy, expensive and tear families and countries apart. But, my word, they provide some pretty good anecdotes to tell decades later.
Winning at all costs is the prime directive of armies and generals everywhere. In the eternal words of Ricky Bobby, if you’re not first you’re last. And nowhere is that statement more appropriate than the fields of war. One way to win is to make sure that tactically you are watertight and have the right weaponry to see you through. Warfare gave us machine guns, tanks and atomic bombs in a kind of military-style game on one-upmanship. These weapons decided the outcomes of wars, but there are some weapons once developed that were, how shall we say it, ridiculously idiotic and hilariously nonsensical.

Now in its 12th year, the Tribeca Film Festival is one of the premiere artistic showcases and industry marketplaces for independent cinema. Sundance might still be the place to go to discover new talent on the cheap, Toronto is the festival to generate Oscar buzz, but Tribeca has an eclectic mix that both reflects the soul of native New Yorkers and what the city means to the rest of the world as a cultural international capital. In between tonight’s opener — the music documentary Mistaken for Strangers about the National — and the closing night’s special screening of Martin Scorsese...

Some movies stay with you. People are constantly amazed that I can remember so much about movies but also what theatre I saw them in and under what circumstances. Movies can be like songs in the memory, where you were physically and mentally and emotionally the first time you heard a song and how it takes on much more meaning than the musicians ever intended. The same with books, I recall at what point in my life I read certain books and where I was at the time. And so, it’s the same with movies, for me anyway.
In 1966 my Father entered John Cochran Veteran’s Hospital in St. Louis, on North Grand, for brain surgery. He never walked out of there. We were visiting Dad before the surgery, at eleven years old I was already a die hard Movie Geek. I used to beg my parents,...

Australian rugby player David Pocock challenged former tennis player John Alexander, who is now a minister of Parliament, on gay marriage. “The biggest thing in this debate is that we’re dealing with people here. And how can you blame someone for what they are? People don’t choose their sexuality and we marginalise the Lgbti community for what they are. I think that this is a conversation that needs to be had and that needs to be discussed compassionately and actually come to something that’s reasonable. And in my mind, that’s marriage for everyone. We’ve moved forward on so many issues and this is the next progression.”

A few days a go PETA the animal rights activists decided that one of the major items on their agenda would be to try and get Nintendo to remove the Tanooki suit from Super Mario 3D Land because according to them “By wearing Tanooki, Mario is sending the message that it’s Ok to wear fur”. Well according to a press release today that mini protest was actually just a joke:
“Mario fans: Relax!” The organisation said that its spoof flash game – Mario Kills Tanooki – was “meant to be tongue-in-cheek, a fun way to call attention to a serious issue, that raccoon dogs are skinned alive for their fur.”
Apparently PETA was surprised the campaign was “taken so literally” and that none of their initial comments were meant to be taken seriously. Personally I don’t buy that for one second, I think there was such a backlash by Nintendo...
