Sex & Nudity

  • The cameraman says a subtle joke about flirting an older woman.
  • A couple is about to kiss, but they stop.
  • A woman shows to her daughter several photographs of men who want to ask her hand in marriage.

Violence & Gore

  • A man throws a bag to another man in the face. This's seen as a slapstick comedy, no one gets hurt.
  • A young woman is beaten (we don't see this; we seen the woman bruised and gasping. not graphic.)
  • A man approaches the window of the train car, when the man looks to see out, get very close shots and ricochets. In other scene the same man is surrounded by a horde of flaming arrows. In either case he's injured.
  • A train is assaulted by bandits, derails and catches on fire, several people are fleeing the fire, then the train robbers start to shoot. No one is harmed onscreen.
  • A Japanese feudal castle is consumed by flames, while a battle going on outside the castle. We see the actors dodging falling debris burning.
  • A man limps through the snow, and a girl sees his blood has dripped onto the snow.
  • There's intense ninja battle in a scene, but no one is harmed and no blood is seen.
  • The World War II era takes places in the film, and bombs are seen dropping. No one is harmed onscreen.
  • There's a scene where a soldier aims a gun to a girl, but one man stands in front to receive the shot for her, blood isn't shown.
  • A man is seen with a large scar on his face.
  • Several men threaten a woman with swords. In another scene, the same men fight the girl, and she knocks them down (they're hit with the handle of her sword rather than the blade, so there's striking as opposed to slicing.)
  • A girl and a woman fight with daggars. No one is harmed.
  • Two women fight in ninja style, one woman throws to the other one a large knife tied to a string, which impacts on her chest. Later we see that the knife is stuck in a log that the girl used under her clothing for protection.
  • We see a man's dead body covered in a blanket with sword stabbed into it, there's some blood. In the same scene, a woman attempts to commit suicide by stabbing herself in the throat with one of the swords (she is stopped.)
  • We hear that a man is going to be executed.

Profanity

  • Uses of mild words like "Idiot" , "Stupid" , "Fool" and one use of "Bastard"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A pack of cigarettes is seen in an editing room, but no one is seen smoking.
  • A Witch gives a potion to a young girl, she drinks it and falls into a curse.
  • A couple is seen holding wine glasses, they toast, but don't drink.
  • An elderly woman is taking medicines, but a medical formula is shown.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A Japanese feudal castle is consumed by flames, while a battle going on outside the castle. We see the actors dodging falling debris burning.
  • A ghost-like old woman whom may be referred to as a witch appears several times.
  • A woman walks through the rubble of a city devastated by a bombing (which happened in the Second World War)
  • Several earthquakes occur throughout the film.
  • An old man confesses that he has tortured another man to death.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • An actress escapes death by seconds, while an earthquake occurs in a movie set, lighting equipment and part of the set almost falls on her. A crew member saves her life by pulling her out.
