In this weird world of spinoffs and sequels, you can never say never to the possibility of a legacy sequel, no matter how unlikely it seems. Some of them are ill-advised, but sometimes we get the chance to return to some great creative ground that just didn't get the chance for a sequel during its era for whatever reason. Movies from the 1980s and 1990s that have found cult status have the potential to find an even bigger audience with a legacy sequel, and as long as the original stars are interested, it can happen! That seems to be the case for "Throw Momma From the Train," the 1987 dark comedy directed by Danny DeVito and starring DeVito and Billy Crystal. The movie follows an author named Larry (Crystal) and one of his writing students, Owen (DeVito), after they become entangled in a murder plot directly inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train.

We all know that Adam Sandler likes working with people he knows. The movies he produces with his production company Happy Madison regularly feature Kevin Nealon, Rob Schneider, and other cast members from his Saturday Night Live days. Many of his movies also feature supporting turns from guys you only see in Happy Madison flicks, like Alan Covert and Peter Dante. And, of course, he loves to cast Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore as his love interests.
So it’s no surprise that Sandler’s latest Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzah sees him once again paired with Idina Menzel, who played his wife in Uncut Gems. But Sandler isn’t the star of You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, a comedy based on the 2005 YA novel by Fiona Rosenbloom. Christie Brinkley’s Turks & Caicos home lived up to its name in Hurricane Irma.
“Our house ‘Lucky House’ was for the most part spared!” the supermodel and mom of three wrote in an emotional Instagram post. “I named it Lucky House because we all feel so lucky to call it home.”
After hearing news of the impending storm earlier this month, Brinkley, 63, tried to remain positive that her family’s abode was safe and sound. “I tried to be philosophical as I was sure our home was underwater,” she writes on the side-by-side photo of the estate before and after it weathered Irma.

When their new daughter Willa Gray arrived in Nashville, Tennessee, from Uganda last week to join her adoptive family, Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren planned to take it slow — after all, the toddler had just traveled 7,000 miles and more than 30 hours to a country she’d never seen.

Simply put, the Shanahans were “saved by Grace.”
That’s what a Wisconsin couple are saying about the heroics of their cat named Grace, who alerted them to lethal amounts of carbon monoxide in their home last month.
The 8-year-old Maine Coon mix rattled their bedroom door with her paw, according to ABC News, who reported the story, which woke up Annette Shanahan, who had fallen asleep, ill on a chair in her Reedsburg home.
“Gracie started pounding at the door. Pounding loud. She was really pounding,” she told the station. “Our house is 120 years old so the door rattles.

Ryan ToysReview maintained its first-place position on the chart for the second week in a row. Six-year-old Ryan's home videos featuring footage from his playtime stayed relatively constant, ending the week up 1% with more than 149.8 million views. In a distant second place is FamilyFunPack. The second-highest-ranked family-friendly YouTube channel on the chart this week with a video library full of footage featuring America's favorite family of seven amassed almost 117.4 million views in the week.
That pushed WWE down to third place. World Wrestling Entertainment's home on YouTube took a 2% hit in views, but still slammed down over 116.9 million of them during the week. Dance music fans the world over are counting down the days until the release of Eric Prydz‘s highly anticipated debut album, Opus, making it as fitting a time as any for the Swedish progressive house innovator to tease out a couple tracks. In the eighth episode of his esteemed Beats 1 show, the DJ/producer has showcased two songs from the effort that capture his richly layered style and depth of concept.
The mix starts off with the first track, “The Matrix,” a decidedly uplifting progression that showcases Prydz’s use of synth arpeggios. The second, “Trubble,” arrives at the end, and utilizes otherworldly dissonance to create more tension in the listener. In bookending the mix with either track, Prydz makes the eighth edition of his Beats 1 show a tantalizing preview for what’s to come on Opus.
As far as the album itself is concerned, Eric Prydz‘ Opus will come out on February 5th.

Bryan Cranston is known for his wise-cracking, outgoing personality both on- and off-screen. But, it turns out, he was a far cry from the class clown in school while growing up.
"I was introverted in high school. I was unremarkable. There was nothing special about me, nothing unique," Cranston admitted in a new interview with Playboy, in which the actor opens up about his painful childhood.
Cranston, 59, said that his shy demeanor in high school began after his father abandoned his family when he was 11, leaving Cranston and his brother at home with his alcoholic mother.

While we will mourn the departure of Tom Jones from the new Voice UK line-up, there's no denying we are extremely excited to see what Boy George will have to offer the BBC One talent show.
The British icon has enjoyed an illustrious career, which has included releasing a single with Mark Ronson and performing with the producer at Glastonbury earlier this year.
"He's going to be amazing because he's so good with talking to people. He's so honest," Ronson told Digital Spy backstage at the Virgin Media V Festival after we broke the good news to him.
"Everyone forgets because sometimes maybe his name and celebrity has become larger than his talent, [but] the reason that guy is there is because he has one of the most gorgeous lovely voices."
Boy George will be joined by fellow new coach Paloma Faith and returning panelists Ricky Wilson and will.i.am for the revamped series,...

Good Neighbors: Levine’s Indie Murder Mystery a Passing Homage to Classic Comedy
Actor/writer/director Lawrence Michael Levine reunites with director/actress wife Sophia Takal for his third feature, the harmlessly charming Brooklyn set murder mystery Wild Canaries, which tends to favor a bygone tradition of slapstick, noir tinged comedy. Several have compared Levine and Takal’s spousal chemistry to the likes of Myrna Loy of William Powell in their famed Thin Man series of classic films—but such an association is a tad hyperbolic. They make a charming duo, certainly, but the ragtag charm melts away in the face of the narrative’s eventual flaccid inability to remain energetically inventive, seemingly tired of its own formula by the final frames. Witty writing and effortless performances magically keep familiarity at bay, but at the end of the day, the film’s more provocative characterizations fade into a safe peripheral zone,...
