Sex & Nudity

7/10

A woman is very flirtatious and promiscuous. She offers to have sex with a man and talks about lube and sex toys.

A picture of a penis and a of two nude girls is very briefly seen. A man works at the theater and he puts them into kids movies .

A woman's bare buttocks are shown in an advertisement while people walk past it slowly.

A man finds a bunch of condoms in a toilet.

A man hears a couple having sex several times. One of these times he walks in on the couple. The mans bare buttocks are seen briefly and his pubic hair is slightly visible.

A sex scene that consists of graphic still images that show some nudity including breasts and butts. The nudity is not very clear and this scene only lasts a few seconds

In the end of the film, a penis in close-up flashes on the screen for one frame, making it almost impossible to see unless you pause the movie.

Some sexual references, a few graphic.

NOTE: Everything in this movie happens very fast, but it's still explicit.

Violence & Gore

10/10

One man chemical burns another; his skin bubbles and bleeds, a graphic hole in his hand can be seen, and it later turns into a scar.

A character gets brutally beaten by another man (not really considered a fight), yet the character getting beaten acts as if he enjoys the pain (he laughs hysterically as he takes punches to the face). The character's face gets very bloody, and he then jumps on the man, drooling and coughing blood on him.

There are more than a few scenes involving fights and beatings, often with bloody results; sometimes faces are shown with blood on them. People's heads are punched and bashed into the ground in close up. One especially brutal fight shows one man beating the other so severely even the other fight club members are shocked by the damage; his nose is badly broken (there's blood), his eye swollen shut, and teeth are knocked out.

In addition to the club fights, there are other fights, sometimes including repeated kicks.

Two men steal human fat in plastic bags from a liposuction clinic. One bag rips open and bloody fat is spilled on one man. Not very graphic but disgusting.

The bruising and bleeding from the fights are evident for days.

One man threatens another with a gun, hitting him with the barrel on the back of his head.

Several men threaten another man with castration, and it appears for a moment that they have followed through.

There is a car crash sequence in which the car rolls over an embankment. Characters are implied to be hurt, but there is no blood.

A man is shot in the head, it is brief and it happens in the dark so it isn't graphic. His dead body is later placed on a table, where we see his eyes are wide open, and blood/brain matter spills out from the back of his head.

A second man is threatened with castration followed by threats with a gun.

There is a long, surreal fight sequence traveling all over a parking garage.

A character is shown in slow motion shooting himself in the head with a gun, blood POURS from his wound, very violent.

We see a bloody and graphic exit wound on the back of a man's head (from a gunshot).

Profanity

9/10

76 uses of the f-word, mostly as an expletive. The s-word is used ten times. Sex and anatomy are talked about in vulgar terms. There is also lots of religious profanity.

A man is said to have "bitch tits"

5/10

Two characters chain-smoke, while another is seen smoking on screen a couple times.

A couple of characters and extras drink.

One character is drunk in a couple of scenes.

One character tries to commit suicide with Xanax.

10/10

The scene where one character's hand is burnt with lye is very intense.

A man threatens another man with castration.

The fight scene where a character's face helplessly gets beaten to a bloody pulp is sadistic and somewhat disturbing.

There are multiple sequences involving vandalism and destruction of property. Some of them include impressive explosions.

The movie depicts both relatively minor and much more serious acts of terrorism some of which that can probably that can be monkeyed if seen by the wrong person.

There are shocking scenes of violence in this film, and the plot twist is unsettling.

A main theme of the film is insomnia, the main character is an insomniac

42/50
