19 Kids and Counting alum, Josh Duggar went to prison for Csam offenses, and evidence of his molestation of his sisters was allowed in court. Harvey Weinstein had his rape conviction overturned because the court allowed people to testify about his bad behavior and they were not part of the charges. He will now have a new trial. Will that help the TLC alum get his conviction overturned as well?
Josh Duggar Trial Heard Testimony By Bobye Holt
During his trial, the former 19 Kids and Counting star listened as Bobye Holt related how he confessed to the molestation when he was a younger teen. Of course, the defense objected to that information being presented in a case relating to abusive videos of children. However, it was used to present a motive for his crimes using his computer.

Set in the outer boroughs of New York City, Nick Bentgen’s latest documentary #LoveYourz follows a group of teens who have formed a self-love creative collective as they look to pave a way for themselves into the future. What makes the film so compelling is Bentgen’s ability to capture these teens on their own terms. The camera often floats through organic scenarios, catching moments on the fly, whilst maintaining an intimacy that feels immersive. This is also backed by the use of multiple visual mediums, with great high res photography combined with retro VHS-style footage to give the film a fresh aesthetic buoyancy that keeps you engaged. Dn sat down with Bentgen to talk over the creation of #LoveYourz, revealing the serendipitous moment that led to its creation, the decision making behind his multi-camera setup, and the filmmaking rules he followed to tell his story with authenticity.

While opening up about her decades-long career, Carla Gugino shared that she still has “a little Ptsd” from being ignored by male directors on sets because she’s a woman.
During a recent conversation with Game of Thrones star Lena Headey for Interview magazine, the Gerald’s Game actress recalled some of her past experiences with directors.
“I had an instance recently where I needed to assert something important to me and I hesitated because I wondered if it would be perceived as demanding. Kenan Thompson is speaking out following the shocking allegations on Nickelodeon sets revealed in the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries.
The actor and comedian, who previously rose to fame following his roles on Nickelodeon shows Kenan & Kel and All That in the late ’90s and early 2000s, recently opened up about his experience on the sets as well as gave his support for those who shared their personal stories in the doc.
“It’s a tough subject because, it’s tough for me because I can’t really speak on things that I’ve never witnessed,” Thompson said on Wednesday’s episode of the daytime talk show Tamron Hall. “You know what I’m saying? Because all these things happened after I left, basically, and Dan [Schneider] wasn’t really on Kenan & Kel like that. I mean, he got a ‘created by’ credit, but it was a different showrunner.

Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV has come up with a 4-episode long documentary detailing the workplace culture of Nickelodeon from the 1990s, and early 2000s. In the episodes that are already out, the documentary has listed a number of actors and writers, who came forward with details on how they were treated working at Nickelodeon, and especially under executive producer, Dan Schneider.

Dan Schneider also made headlines a few years back after a ViacomCBS investigation against him. Though it did not find any evidence of s*xual misconduct, it did conclude that Schneider was verbally abusive on set. This led to him parting ways with Nickelodeon back in 2018. And now, with the docuseries opening all the hidden locks, Schneider’s ex-assistant has made her own stance in the whole debate public.

“Do I look like a monk?” Chloë Sevigny asks the room.
We’re in the Lower East Side apartment of Chris Peters, the head designer of the fashion label Puppets and Puppets, and Sevigny is trying on the sequined gown she plans to wear at a fundraiser for Tibet House that night. But she worries the outfit’s long sleeve, which begins at the hem, drapes around Sevigny’s neck like a scarf, and extends to her left wrist, evokes the robes favored by the Buddhist figures whose traditions the organization highlights. As the sun beats through Peters’ window, cascading along the dress’s spangles and filling the room with reflected light, Sevigny is more reminiscent of a disco ball than the Dalai Lama.
Peters quickly reassures her. “I wouldn’t say it feels monastic. It’s an odd kind of ’30s glam. You look incredible.”

YouTube is getting rid of the YouTube Kids app for TVs.
You may remember that in 2023, YouTube baked its Kids functionalities into the standard YouTube app available on things like smart TVs and gaming consoles, allowing users to switch between main YouTube and YouTube Kids within one app.
YouTube now plans to remove the standalone Kids app altogether this July.
Per Android Police, this change was announced in a recent Google support document.
The Kids app will be scrubbed from all living room TV platforms, so things like smart TVs, streaming devices, and video game consoles.
This will not affect the Kids app on iOS/Android mobile devices. And it also won’t affect anything else to do with YouTube’s Kids partition; per Android Police, living room TV watchers who access YouTube Kids through the main YouTube app will continue to have access to all its parental control and child safety features.

Lizzy Capri‘s bold transition from YouTube Kids star to OnlyFans creator is bringing in six-digit earnings. Capri, who started posting risqué content on her OnlyFans account less than a year ago, has already earned more than $100,000 on the platform.
In an interview with Business Insider, Capri shared her sizable OnlyFans earnings. She described her posts, which are revealing without venturing into full-on nudity, as a form of “artistic expression.” She charges between $5 and $10 for access to her account, and she keeps some of her most popular shots behind additional paywalls. “I’ll be posting dedicated videos that you can exclusively find here,” reads a description on Capri’s OnlyFans hub. “This page is safe for work & non-nude content.”
Capri’s significant OnlyFans revenue still puts her far short of the platform’s top earners. Kaitlyn Siragusa, the streamer known as Amouranth, has said that her lifetime OnlyFans earnings total more than $33 million.

You’d be excused if you didn’t notice that Netflix recently added the forgotten sitcom My Wife and Kids to its servers. With the labor stoppages over and TV back up and running once again, streaming services are pushing full steam ahead to get regularly scheduled programming back on the market. It doesn’t seem like there would be any room for a show more known for its Nick at Nite run than its original broadcast on ABC, but anyone who ignores the Damon Wayans-centered sitcom is missing out on one of the funniest, most chaotic comedies of the 2000s.
At first glance, My Wife and Kids looks like your typical comedian vehicle from around this time period. So many stand-up comics got their own network sitcom that the genre turned into TV junk food during the late 20th century. Everybody Loves Raymond, Home Improvement, The King of Queens,...

A trailer for Investigation Discovery’s docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV has revealed new allegations against prolific Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider.
The four-part series investigates the career of Schneider, who created Nickelodeon hit programs like The Amanda Show, What I Like About You, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat, and who helped launch the careers of Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy and others.
“Working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship,” a former employee who is not named claims in the trailer. “There was a toxic environment. It made me trust people less,” another Nickelodeon alum alleged.
The ID series cites Schneider’s upbeat kids TV output for shaping the popular genre for a generation. But Quiet on Set, directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, also alleges behind the scenes that underage stars and crew were treated inappropriately.

Who better to play a New York high society socialite than Chloë Sevigny, the former club kid turned fashionista who was profiled by Jay McInerney for The New Yorker at 19?
In 1995, one year after that infamous piece hit newsstands, Sevigny would star as a Manhattan teen who discovers she’s HIV positive in Kids, written by her pal Harmony Korine. The film was almost immediately cemented as a cult classic, sending her down an arthouse-cinema path that’s included Gummo, Boys Don’t Cry (earning her an Oscar nomination), American Psycho,...

Rapper Travis Scott stars in the first trailer for his and director Harmony Korine’s indie film “Aggro Dr1ft,” which was shot entirely in infrared.
The short trailer is bathed in the starkly contrasted colors of the infrared lens, and it follows an assassin on his journey. “Breaking away from the traditional parameters of cinema, ‘Aggro Dr1ft’ explores the onslaught of digital ephemera and interrogates modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on the relentless pursuit of his next target,” reads the logline.
“As it is, ‘Aggro Dr1ft’ is visually thrilling but somewhat tedious to sit through — better as wallpaper than the main attraction,” wrote Variety chief film critic Peter Debruge in his review. “Still, as with James Cameron’s ‘Avatar,’ there’s wisdom in the generic quality of his script. Cameron was...

“Barbie” is officially on her way to the Oscars. Ironically, Barbie herself isn’t invited.
Despite hitting all of the major precursors, Margot Robbie was robbed of a Best Actress Oscar nomination on Tuesday morning for playing the title character. She did, however, receive a nomination in Best Picture as a producer on “Barbie.”
Here are five reasons that explain her acting snub.
1. Actors just didn’t perceive the role to be that much of a challenge.
There’s no question that Robbie played Barbie perfectly. (Can you even imagine any other actress filling those pink heels?) It’s just that only actors nominate actors. And actors probably felt that the role wasn’t that much of a stretch for the marvelous Margot, whom they previously put up for Best Actress for 2017’s “I, Tonya” and Best Supporting Actress for 2019’s “Bombshell.” The part of Barbie just wasn’t written to blow anyone away.

Valerie Bertinelli’s departure from “Kids Baking Championship” is not a cut-and-dry case of Food Network firing the “One Day at a Time” alum from her role as co-host and judge of the show. Rather, it’s the aftermath of the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned channel deciding not to renew Bertinelli’s larger exclusive deal with the network when it ended in 2022, sources tell Variety.
Bertinelli signed a multi-series deal with Food Network in 2018, which expired in 2021. The pact was extended for an additional year and came to an end in 2022, when the currently airing Season 12 of “Kids Baking Championship” was taped back to back with Season 11. Bertinelli has co-hosted and judged ‘Kids,” a spinoff of Food Network’s larger “Baking Championship” competition franchise that includes holiday and seasonal iterations, alongside Duff Goldman since it first debuted on Food Network in 2015.
“Her deal expired, they opted not to renew it.

Stanley Kubrick's 1980 horror film "The Shining," based on the popular book by Stephen King, saw struggling author Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) hired to be the caretaker of a remote, mountainside resort called the Overlook Hotel. During the winter months, snow prevents visitors from coming and going, and someone merely has to keep the furnaces burning. Jack is told that one of the hotel's previous caretakers, Mr. Grady, was infected by a severe case of cabin fever and slaughtered his family. Jack brushes off the violence as a mere horror story, and takes the job nonetheless.
While there, Jack and his family learn that the Overlook is deeply, deeply haunted. The hotel is almost a massive, unconscious mind, which manifests ghosts as a way to flex its memories. In one of the film's more terrifying scenes -- and it has many -- the young Danny (Danny Lloyd) is idly riding...

Throughout his career, Hong Kong director Lawrence Ah Mon has told numerous stories about the disenfranchised in Hk society. Considering most of his colleagues focused on genres such as thriller and action, his features stand out as they give the viewer an idea of the way issues such as the shift between generations, youth culture and the feelings of teenage angst and isolation are experienced in Hk culture. Perhaps one of the most noteworthy examples of his filmography is “Spacked Out” from 2000, a feature which was honored with as “Film of Merit” by the Hong Kong Film Critics in 2001 and has recently been restored so that audiences worldwide have the chance to experience this story one more time or maybe even for the first time.

Olivia Plath didn’t set out to become a reality TV star. The 25-year-old is known for appearing with her soon-to-be ex-husband Ethan Plath and his family on the TLC series Welcome to Plathville. While she admits that there are many positives that come from being on the show, she also doesn’t feel that she made a fully informed decision when she agreed to be filmed.
Olivia Plath ‘had no idea what she was getting into’ when she agreed to do ‘Welcome to Plathville’
Olivia has starred in Welcome to Plathville since 2019. The show’s first five seasons follow her marriage to Ethan and Olivia’s conflict with her in-laws, particularly her mother-in-law, Kim Plath. In later seasons, conflict arose between Olivia and her siblings-in-law, Moriah Plath and Micah Plath. The pair, who’d once been close to Olivia, accused her of poisoning their relationship with Ethan and unfairly demonizing their parents.

Walter Koenig came to "Star Trek" in only its second season, but he is part of the series' legacy thanks to his role as Ensign Pavel Chekov (not to mention being one of the few major "The Original Series" actors still with us). An American TV show featuring a Russian character as a good guy during the height of the Cold War? That was just one of the ways that "Star Trek" pushed the envelope.
Unfortunately, as you Trekkies reading know, "Star Trek" lasted only two more years after Koenig joined the cast in 1967; NBC canceled the show due to low ratings and the last episode first aired on June 3, 1969. That cancellation wasn't the end for "Star Trek" — it's a full-blown media franchise now — but it seemed like it was at the time.
