Tyra Banks personally recruited America's Next Top Model’s first-ever contestant with vitiligo, Chantelle Brown-Young.
Tyra Banks On Chantelle Brown-Young
Banks has praised Brown-Young, revealing that when she was in search of contestants for the 21st cycle of America’s Next Top Model, the 20-year-old beauty kept popping up.
"She's absolutely beautiful," Banks said on E! News Wednesday. "We were looking [for contestants] and I just kept seeing this girl pop up, this beautiful, striking girl."
Banks added, "I reached out to her myself and told my team, ‘Find her! I want her here in a week.'"
Terrence Jenkins, an E! News personality who was co-hosting with Leah Remini, revealed that he too has vitiligo, a skin condition that causes white patches to form on one's skin. Watching Brown-Young on the season premiere of Top Model inspired him to be less conscious of his own skin condition, Jenkins admitted on-air.

After 20 seasons, one billion nutty contestants (true fact: if laid end to end, they’d stretch all the way to Modelland and back), gallons of haircut-related tears, myriad delightful variations on “I’m not here to make friends,” countless instances of Tyra Banks randomly slipping into one of her four accents (“vaguely British,” “almost French,” “Oprah,” and “daaa-yum, girl!”), and challenges involving roaches, tarantulas, clouds of pheromone-crazed bees, and Fabio, saying “that crazy thing on America’s Next Top Model” is sort of like talking about suicide in Buffalo—it’s redundant.

Amazingly, Tyra Banks has kept this show running since 2003 - so we've had over a decade of makeover freak-outs, granola-bar thefts, and ridiculously amazing, yet pretty bizarre photoshoots.

The premiere of modelling show The Face Australia hosted by Naomi Campbell wasn.t a big drawcard on Fox8 last night.
The Shine Australia production had 40,000 viewers, ranked at No. 18 among the night's top 20 programmes on pay-tv, according to OzTAM.
The most watched shows were Fox Footy.s Afl 360 and Fox8.s The Simpsons, both with 65,000, followed by Fox8.s The Family Guy (60,000) and UKTV.s Coronation Street (58,000).
Repeats of Afl 360 and The Simpsons drew 48,000 and 47,000 viewers respectively. However The Face.s consolidated audiences from repeat viewings and time-shifting will boost the overnight number. For example, Fox8.s America.s Top Model had 68,000 viewers on the previous Tuesday and a consolidated audience of 92,000.
The Face sees three teams of models, each led by a supermodel coach, living the lives of fashion icons, taking part in photo shoots, runway shows and commercials.

When I was a kid, I learned from TV all the time. I learned Spanish phrases from Sesame Street; about the Fibonacci sequence from Square One; and that I did not have to take anyone's word for it from Reading Rainbow. As an adult, I certainly learned about food science from Good Eats and America's Test Kitchen, and maybe some enthusiasm for art from The Joy of Painting. But my main TV education is coming from reality shows that are in no way designed to teach their viewers things. I can't help it, though. I really did learn how to pose more flatteringly in photos from watching Top Model.I'm a big fan of reality-contest shows, and I have picked up some skills in my travels. Top Chef affected the way I cook — definitely with more acid, per Gail's constant request, and also with more salt, per Padma's recurring critiques...

Fox’s Bones christened its new Friday home with 5.1 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating — down sharply (and expectedly) from its last Monday outing (7.4 mil/2.0) but on par with what MasterChef Junior last did in the time slot (4.1 mil/1.5) and, well, up from Fringe‘s fall 2012 season opener (3.3 mil/1.1).

'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 20 winner: Jourdan Miller, Marvin Cortes or Cory Hindorff, who won?
It's time to crown the winner of the first "America's Next Top Model" cycle to include male models -- it'll be interesting to see if a guy actually deserves the crown or if it's clear Jourdan was the best model and yet a man still wins because it's the first time with guys. Or maybe Jourdan will win outright -- let's find out!
Top 3 Elimination
One person is eliminated right at the top and it's not Jourdan, of course, so it comes down to Marvin vs. Cory. Unfortunately, by a score of 26.6 to 27.5, Cory is cut right before the big runway show. We have to say -- we were totally Team Cory, so that's a major bummer. We can't believe Kelly gave Cory a 5 for that Guess picture.
Before the runway starts, we have to watch the commercial the Top 3 filmed. In what is supporting our Team Cory feelings, Cory...

She’s known for her “Top Chef” gig, but Padma Lakshmi looked like she belonged on “Top Model” while frolicking on the beach on Monday (October 7).
