Black and White Love Review
28 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
"Black and White Love" is a story that follows lives of two contrasting characters Ferhat and Asli brought together by fate. While Ferhat is austere and harsh, lost in the world of guns and mafia, Asli is a kind-hearted doctor who saves lives. Together they are just like black and white, so unalike yet somehow perfect for one another. The storyline was quite interesting with the exception of various unnecessary or completely misplaced characters and events such as the appearance of Julide, Asli's niece, whose character is, in my opinion, entirely redundant, or the sudden realization that Ozge is Ferhat's daughter. Out of all characters, I find Ferhat to be the most developed and Ibrahim Celikkol's acting to be exceptional, deep and persuasive. But at the same time I am highly disappointed by the acting of the Birce Akalay who plays the female protagonist Asli. I found her acting to be plain and unconvincing. Overall I liked the series even though I am disappointed by where the story-line went from a certain point.
