In a strange turn of events, Black Mirror might get some inspiration from the pink blizzard that was Margot Robbie’s Barbie. The sci-fi dystopia series is arguably one of the most critically acclaimed anthologies in television history. And Netflix has recently announced that the show is coming back with its newest season.
Margot Robbie in and as Barbie
What’s even more exciting is the streaming service also let the fans know that there will be a sequel for one of the series’ best episodes from its last season. The USS Callister episode will finally be getting a sequel, which only means more thrill and fascination.
Margot Robbie’s Barbie Might Influence Black Mirror’s USS Callister’s Sequel Episode
USS Callister of Black Mirror Season Four is ranked one of the best episodes of the entire series. The episode has Robert Daly, played by Jesse Plemons, at its center.

Black Mirror Season 7 arrives in 2025 with six twisted episodes, including a sequel to USS Callister
Back in November, we heard that the Netflix streaming service had ordered a seventh season of the anthology series Black Mirror – and now Netflix has unveiled a video in which they have confirmed that Black Mirror season 7 will be released sometime in 2025! You can watch the announcement video in the embed above.
Black Mirror season 7 will consist of six episodes, one of which will be a sequel to the popular season 4 episode USS Callister! We even have a short synopsis for that one: “Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning.“
There was a rumor floating around a couple months ago that USS Callister would be getting its own three episode spin-off series. That has never been confirmed, but at least now we know for sure that there’s going to be some USS Callister action in the new season of Black Mirror.

Released through the Netflix streaming service back in December of 2017, season 4 of the anthology series Black Mirror featured an episode called USS Callister, a sort of dark comedy mash-up of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. It quickly became a fan favorite and earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, winning Emmys in four categories, including Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special. Rumors of a USS Callister spin-off started circulating soon after; in fact, we previously reported on the possibility back in 2019. Now What’s on Netflix is reporting that the USS Callister spin-off series is moving ahead at Netflix, and will consist of three episodes.
According to the site, USS Callister will be filming in the United Kingdom and “aims to begin shooting in Spring 2024” Production will reportedly last for ten weeks.
Details about the spin-off’s plot is being kept under wraps.

Prime Video’s “Citadel” is the most ambitious (and most expensive) new action series of the year. The trailer for Joe and Anthony Russo’s globetrotting espionage thriller promises a vast conspiracy that goes all the way to the top, spy vs. spy romantic tension, and a chase scene on skis that shows Richard Madden doesn’t need to be the next James Bond to do James Bond-style stuff.
“Citadel” – which according to the Hollywood Reporter is on track to become the second-most-expensive TV show of all time – is a spy action series that’s Amazon’s attempt to start a global franchise from scratch. It picks up eight years after the fall of Citadel, an international, independent spy agency loyal to no nation. The television adaptation of The Feed -- based on the novel by Nick Clark Windo -- immediately thrusts viewers into a sci-fi psychological thriller set in a future that feels very real and not at all distant.
Talented veteran actors make up the cast of three-dimensional characters who -- at least in the six episodes available for review -- create solid, believable arcs that posit empathetic flaws into what could very easily have become stereotypical villains types.
While stereotypical villains can be a guilty delight to watch, The Feed takes the psychological intricacies of well-intended beings doing what they feel in their hearts is right, and pushes them through ill-fated journeys of what is perceived as selfishness and greed.
Modern technology is scary; we all know glitches and hackings can be detrimental to corporate and individual security.
When the hard drives, the internet, and all forms of media are placed into heads of civilians,...

"Do I do the right thing and put myself in danger?" A24 has debuted the first trailer for an indie war drama titled The Kill Team, the narrative feature directorial debut of filmmaker Dan Krauss (who also directed the documentary 5B this year). This is based on the same events that inspired his own 2013 documentary also titled The Kill Team, about a young American soldier in Afghanistan is disturbed by his commanding officer's behavior and is faced with a moral dilemma. Described as "an urgent and explosive recounting of one of the darkest incidents in the not-so-distant history of American military exploits." Nat Wolff co-stars with Alexander Skarsgård, plus Adam Long, Jonathan Whitesell, Brian Marc, Osy Ikhile, Rob Morrow, Anna Francolini, and Oliver Ritchie. It's intriguing to see a film addressing the darker side of the American military, and how they often crossed the line in Afghanistan. This looks better than expected.

All three nights were provided prior to broadcast.
Syfy isn’t averse to the mini-series “event” format. You can see it in adaptations of everything from The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man) to Peter Pan (Neverland), and even original ideas like last year’s twisty 60’s nostalgia trip Ascension. 2015 brings Childhood’s End, a vision of the classic Arthur C. Clarke novel that posits the future of humanity once an alien race comes along and fixes all of our seemingly unfixable problems.
The new series has characters with a magical answer to everything, but where Childhood’s End shines is in providing no easy solutions to its audience. Clarke’s inspirational prose (adapted by Matthew Graham, a staple of BBC shows like Doctor Who and Life on Mars) zaps what could have been bland we-come-in-peace sci-fi hokum into something that feels relevant, shocking and important.
That’s high praise unto itself,...
