Snowpiercer season 4 went into production in early 2022, and by the middle of that year, TNT had confirmed that season 4 would also be the last season of the show. That was soon after TNT owner WarnerMedia merged with Discovery Inc to form Warner Bros. Discovery… and things have been pretty wild since that merger happened, with films being scrapped as tax write-offs, content purges, and streaming service shake-ups. One of their surprising “write down strategy” moves came in January of 2023, when Warner Bros. Discovery decided they wouldn’t even bother to air Snowpiercer season 4 on TNT. The show has been searching for a new home ever since. Today, Deadline reports that it has found one: AMC.
Deadline lets us know, “The first three seasons of the show will stream on AMC+ later this year and season 4 will air on the linear network and the streaming service in early 2025.” Snowpiercer is a Tomorrow Studios production.

Snowpiercer’s final season will see the light of day after all.
AMC has picked up rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama — including the completed but never aired fourth season. The series first aired on TNT, but the Warner Bros. Discovery network canceled the show in January 2023 as it and sister channels TBS and TruTV left the scripted business.
The first two seasons of Snowpiercer will begin streaming on AMC+ on June 1, with season three following a week later. The final season will debut July 21 on both AMC and AMC+ — a change from the network’s earlier plans to air the final season in early 2025.
“Snowpiercer is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase — similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series — and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said Ben Davis, executive vp original programming at AMC Networks and AMC Studios.

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a home.
The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write down strategy.
Deadline revealed in January 2023 that the fourth season wouldn’t air on its original home, as part of a slew of content cuts that also including the axing of Batgirl, Abrams’ HBO drama Demimonde, and TBS series such as The Big D, Chad and Kill The Orange Bear.
It is the latest series that AMC has saved after being scrapped elsewhere; the network bought Captain Nemo series Nautilus after it was cut by Disney+.

"Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" was not the film that turned the "Mission: Impossible" film franchise into the "Tom Cruise Stares Death in the Face" show. No, that honor belongs to "Mission: Impossible II," which opens with Cruise's Ethan Hunt free solo rock climbing in Moab, Utah (which Cruise did for real wearing a harness ... because of course he did). "Ghost Protocol" was, however, a pivotal turning point in the series in terms of both its storytelling and technical elements.
Where director John Woo tried to turn Ethan into an American James Bond with "Mission: Impossible II," director Brad Bird brought the character down to Earth a little in "Ghost Protocol," making him the sort of plucky hero with a knack for evading disaster by the skin of his teeth. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the film's crown jewel -- the sequence in which Ethan scales the tallest building in the world,...

The direct-to-Hulu release of “Prey,” the action-thriller prequel to “Predator,” notched the most viewing hours ever on the Disney-owned streamer in its first three days — among all TV series and movies.
That would mean “Prey” had a bigger aggregate viewing-time total over three days than “The Kardashians,” which Hulu in April said was its biggest TV series premiere at the time.
Disney decided to forgo a theatrical release for 20th Century Studios’ “Prey,” which premiered Aug. 5 on on Hulu in the U.S., as well as on Disney’s Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories.
Disney said “Prey” also was the most-watched film premiere on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ under the Star banner.
However, as is often the case with streaming platforms, Hulu and Disney are not releasing the specific number of hours “Prey” was viewed. Netflix, meanwhile,...

It’s good news all around for brand new Predator movie Prey, which has not only won over critics and franchise fans alike, but the film has also broken a new record over at Hulu.
We’ve learned today, “20th Century Studios’ highly acclaimed action-thriller Prey is the #1 premiere on Hulu to date, including all film and TV series debuts. Additionally, Prey is the most watched film premiere on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star Banner in all other territories, based on hours watched in the first three days of its release.”
Meagan Navarro wrote in her 4-star review for Bloody Disgusting, “Prey surprises in how different yet similar it feels to the franchise’s origins. It feels right at home with the mythology of the Predator universe yet stretches the boundaries in tone and scale. Soaring spectacle meets intimate storytelling, delivering one of the most solid entries in the franchise yet.

“Snowpiercer,” TNT’s TV adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s 2013 sci-fi climate catastrophe film of the same name, has halted production on its fourth and final season following extreme temperatures in Vancouver, Canada and the hospitalization of some crew members in the effort of being “extra cautious.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, production of Snowpiercer wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location. The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority,” a Tomorrow Studios spokesperson said, adding that all of the people who were in the hospital had been discharged.
The series, based on the graphic novel “Le Transperceneige” by Jacques Lob, is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a botched attempt to stop global warming has inadvertently created another ice age. Humanity’s remnants are forced to live in a singular, class-divided train owned by transportation magnate Wilford...

“Prey” is a prequel to the “Predator” horror franchise set 300 years ago in the Comanche Nation, and in the first full trailer for the new action-thriller, the Predator alien monster proves that it’s far more deadly than wildlife or European colonizers.
Dan Trachtenberg directs “Prey,” which will debut on Hulu in the U.S. and follows a skilled young woman named Naru in the Comanche Native American tribe 300 years before the events of the original film franchise.
She’s determined to prove to her tribe that she can hunt and that she can survive, and after barely surviving angering a vicious grizzly bear, she finds that this mysterious new creature that manages to kill it with ease might be the real threat. Patrick Aison wrote the script. .tpd-featured-video.youtube{position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:100;padding-top:56.25}.tpd-featured-video.youtube>iframe{position:absolute;top:0;left:0;bottom:0;right:0;width:100;height:100}.tpd-featured-video.in-content{margin-bottom:2em}

“Snowpiercer” is changing showrunners going into the show’s fourth season.
Paul Zbyszewski — whose past credits include “Lost,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and “Helstrom” — will take the reins of the TNT series from Graeme Manson. Manson famously took over showrunning duties on the drama show after original series creator Josh Friedman and TNT parted ways over “creative differences” before Season 1.
In addition, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” alum Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov are both joining the series in Season 4. The news comes the same day as the Season 3 finale. Production is now underway on Season 4.
“We have been blessed with an abundance of riches in building the world of ‘Snowpiercer’ – from the incredible cast and crew, to the loyal fanbase and the building blocks afforded from the film and graphic novel,” said Manson and executive producer Aubrey Nealon. “Tonight’s finale is the culmination of several storylines, with unexpected twists and turns around every corner,...

A group of Hollywood producers launched a new digital ad Tuesday that poses a basic question: What does life look like in 2030 if Donald Trump continues to be president?
The spot, called “Twenty Thirty,” comes from Micho Rutare, producer Ben Rosenblatt and executive producer Mike Silver. Watch it above.
In the spot, a grandfather (Ivar Brogger) is running through the list of presidents, in numerical order, with his granddaughter. When he gets to 45, the child asks, “Why isn’t there a 46?” Then the spot cuts to Trump making authoritarian-like remarks.
The scene then cuts to a smoggy Los Angeles skyline, with all of the buildings bearing the name, “Trump.”
“Grandpa, did you vote for Trump?” the granddaughter asks.
Then there is the sound of a siren, and the message, “Vote while you still can.”
Silver, Rutare and Rosenblatt founded the Win America Back Pac, and are raising money for future...

“Snowpiercer” Season 2 is set to premiere Monday, Jan. 25 on TNT, the network announced during a panel for the show at New York Comic-Con on Thursday.
A new trailer released during the panel introduces new cast member Sean Bean as Mr. Wilford, who has come to restore order on his world-spanning train in the wake of Season 1’s revolution.
The new premiere date comes just a few months after the first season wrapped its 10-episode run back in July. The long-delayed series was picked up for a second season before the first hit the air earlier this year and had begun filming before the coronavirus pandemic caused production to shut down.
In addition to Bean, the second season will also see “Girl Meets World” alum Rowan Blanchard join the series as a new cast member, starring alongside Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs. Here is the full description for Season 2:
