Being the Sun comes with a heavy price, and Meredith Grey now realizes that. It was a momentous occasion as this landmark series celebrated 400 episodes.
While Grey's Anatomy Season 18 Episode 19 was a packed but uneventful hour, they reserved all the drama, intensity, and surprises for Grey's Anatomy Season 18 Episode 20.
The finale was incredibly bleak, but there was such a haunting quality to it where it felt as if it could've served as the final installment ever or that the end of an era is very much near.
The double-hour finale's nod at the big occasion mostly came in the form of its usage of flashbacks to multiple scenes. They've gotten significantly better at providing us with flashback montages, and they incorporated them at critical times when they aligned well with the current plots and events.
Reliving Derek's death scene as Mer fought and failed to revive Cora was brutal but effective.

“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 18 is wrapping up next week with a two-hour finale. The show has a track record of some tearjerker finales, so it might be a good idea to have some tissues handy for the next three episodes — especially since they are expected to wrap up a rather emotional plot involving Link (Chris Carmack) and Jo (Camila Luddington).
In last week’s episode, a cancer patient from Link’s past named Simon (Cedric Sanders) returned to Grey Sloan Memorial with his wife Kristen (Bianca Santos), who is now eight months pregnant with their first son. He’s given a terminal diagnosis, and it’s not clear yet if he’ll be able to survive long enough to meet his baby boy.
“It’s not often that ‘Grey’s’ will have a patient do more than an episode,” Santos told TheWrap of the unfolding storyline. “I’m really crediting the...

Grey's Anatomy lands all the best guest stars.
We had the privilege of catching up with Bianca Santos for a little chat and admittedly lost track of time. Well, it's easy to do when speaking to someone as down-to-earth, easygoing, passionate, and fun.
Below you can find a taste of our conversation, as Bianca talks about her upcoming arc on Grey's Anatomy and how much her indie film project, Stronghold, means to her. Check it out!
Jumping right into it -- how did you land a role in Grey's Anatomy? Did you have to audition for the part?
I did, yes. Auditioning is like shooting things into the abyss and hoping that it sticks. I remember when the Grey's audition came in, and it's always a gift when you land something.
When I found out that I got it and not only that I got it, but that also it would be four episodes,...

“Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” Paramount’s family-friendly sequel based on the speedy blue video game character, brought in a strong 6.25 million from the box office in its preview screenings that began at 3 p.m. Thursday. The movie opens in 4,232 domestic locations this weekend.
That total is also inclusive of fan sneak preview screenings from Wednesday night in 700 theaters as “Sonic 2” looks like it will get off to a Sonic-fast start. By comparison, this is more than double the 3 million that the first “Sonic” earned from Thursday previews in February 2020. The studio is projecting “Sonic 2” an opening above 50 million this weekend, or between 51-54 million, against a 110 million budget, though tracking is imprecise given the lack of family films in theaters in the past four months.
Also opening in preview screenings this weekend is Universal’s “Ambulance,” the new thriller from Michael Bay that stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Christian Slater can't seem to catch a break when it comes to television. ABC has cancelled his low-rated Mind Games TV series. Only five of the 13 episodes have aired. No word on what will become of the rest.
Mind Games follows a pair of brothers (Slater and Steve Zahn) who use psychological manipulation to solve problems and to make people's dreams come true. The rest of the cast includes Megalyn Echikunwoke, Wynn Everett, Gregory Marcel, Cedric Sanders, and Jaime Ray Newman.

As bad as that was, the second episode performed even wors, dropping nearly 40% in the demo. The numbers perked up a little after that but were overall still terrible.

Christian Slater hasn't found much success on television with his past shows being cancelled due to low ratings. Will Mind Games be a different story? Will ABC finally find a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot? Stay tuned!

Christian Slater hasn't had much luck in television (his three previous attempts were all cancelled) and ABC hasn't been able to find a hit for their Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Is Mind Games a change of fortune for both of them or is this new series headed for cancellation as well?

Mind Games Review
ABC/Bob D’Amico
Mind Games, hitting on ABC February 25th, has a lot of things going against it before it even airs, and it’s difficult to judge the chances of overcoming the hurdles, no matter how much you might hope it will. Not only is Christian Slater having a rough run when it comes to TV series, but the show is also the creation of Kyle Killen, who just can’t catch a break.
With past projects Awake and Lone Star (both of them solid shows that deserved far better treatment) falling rather quickly, it’s hard to look at Killen as someone who can put things out that audiences will really get behind, or that will convince networks to stick with for an extended run if they have slow starts.
Our story here is that of Ross (Slater) and Clark (Zahn), brothers who are...

At ABC‘s upfront, there were a few things that the network wanted to make sure you knew. 1) They are really impressed with the idea that people are going to watch Rebel Wilson do just about anything, and 2) There isn’t anything they’re happier about than bringing you more episodes of television created by Shonda Rhimes.
On these notes, the network would love for you to know that more Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are coming your way. These, ABC would like to impress upon you (as advertisers) are really good shows. Because… hellllooo… so many people watch them that we’re bringing them back. But wait, don’t think that you’re as excited as you can get yet, because if those are your favorite shows, then we have a new one for you to fall in love with, Betrayal.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the third announced earlier today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on ABC.
The network is changing up some of its serialized dramas - removing random repeats in favor of two "uninterrupted runs" of twelve episodes each (one in the fall, one in the spring) for shows like "Once Upon A Time," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "Revenge". The large gaps between the two half-seasons will be bridged by "limited series" designed around only 12-13 episode seasons.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen including the high-profile "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" rip-off "Gothica", McG's rip-off of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" entitled "Westside", the series based on Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain ride, the Annie Potts-led "Murder in Manhattan" about...

Is it possible to manipulate people so that they will do what you want? Clark and Ross Edwards have founded an entire company based on that premise in "Mind Games."
Written and executive produced by Kyle Killen ("Awake," "Lone Star"), "Mind Games" stars Christian Slater (Ross) and Steve Zahn (Clark) as brothers who use the science of psychological manipulation in order to solve their clients' problems. Of course, the two men have problems of their own -- Clark suffers from bipolar disorder while Ross is a con man with a past in the prison system.
Still, these problems help them get inside the human mind better than anyone else. Based on the trailer, the show seems to be a procedural of sorts, heavily influenced by the strong characters of the brothers. There is also a smattering of "Leverage" to be seen, since the company seems...

What opens as a drama between two brothers, shy, uncoordinated Sean (Cedric Sanders) and football prodigy Deon (50 Cent), the toast of his small town and primed for the NFL, changes course when Deon’s health takes him out of the limelight. Will he ever play again? Who is he, especially with the backdrop of a grim economy, if he can’t play the game?
Deon, played by rapper and the film’s co-writer 50 cent is larger than life at the beginning of the film. His mother Bee (Lynn Whitfield) owns a bar and watches his college games on the TV screens. Her son is a small town celebrity, while Sean excels in school but strikes out with the ladies. Nothing seems out of reach or difficult for Deon, soft spoken but powerful on the field and off.

Where as once it might have been a certificate of emotional authenticity, all too often these days the accompanying tagline "Inspired by a true story" has subtly devolved into cinematic shorthand for 'Please give my poorly thought out clap-trap a pass because at least some small part of it probably happened just like I say it did.' As is the case with The Least Among You, a well-intentioned staging of noted theology professor Rev. Dr. Charles Marks' formative years, undone in equal parts by a weak central performance and a loaded screenplay courtesy of first time writer/director Mark Young.

Lauren Holly and Louis Gossett Jr. are set to star in the indie feature The Least Among You, written and directed by Mark Young. Julia Verdin is producing.
Principal photography began Tuesday in Los Angeles on the film, which centers on a black man named Richard Kelly (newcomer Cedric Sanders), who, after graduating from college and becoming successful in the corporate world, is falsely arrested in the 1965 Watts riots. Kelly faces racial prejudice from professors and students after his agreement to a plea bargain that involves spending two semesters at a seminary.
Holly will play a professor at the seminary who has become a closet drinker after losing her husband and two children while doing missionary work in Africa.
Gossett will play an elderly ex-con who lives in the basement of Kelly's dorm and inspires him to conquer his demons.
William Devane also has been cast as the seminary president who recruits Kelly.
The film is being produced through Witenucke Films and Verdin's Rough Diamond Prods.
