Aldamisa International will commence pre-sales in the run-up to Berlin on the horror-romance Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately.
Aldamisa Entertainment closed a deal with Neal Dodson, Corey Moosa and Zachary Quinto’s Before The Door Pictures to produce Brian Duffield’s directorial debut.
Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately centres on a married couple as they struggle to survive against a supernatural entity. Aldamisa and Before the Door are out to cast.

Jeremy Irvine, who appears alongside Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman in Toronto premiere The Railway Man, has joined Michael Douglas on The Reach.
Good Universe is handling international sales on the action thriller from Douglas’ Furthur Films based on Robb White’s 73 young adult novel Deathwatch. Irvine also starred in War Horse.
Hanna Mangan-Lawrence and Ronny Cox have also come on board the story about a big game hunter who hires a young guide to lead him into the American desert.

Earlier today Crime Scene Pictures announced that Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan, The Hunger Games) has landed the lead in David Gordon Green's retelling of the classic Dario Argento film Suspiria. Well, hold on tight, kids! The rest of the cast has been revealed.

Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris will partner with Nick Wechsler on Man With a Gun, a Robert Hewitt Wolfe-scripted action thriller. They’ve just set up the picture for Crime Scene to fully finance, and they’ll talk it up here to get a director and a foreign sales agent. The title character, Ike Bell, is a gunslinger on a personal mission to gut the participants in a drug war that has plagued a U.S. border town for generations. He infiltrates both sides and takes out operatives on his way to a fateful showdown with the warring kingpins. One is an American sheriff, the other a monstrous cross-dressing woman. Wechsler will produce with Ripp and Paris, Rizal Risjad and Philip Elway will be exec producers and Lizzy Bradford will co-produce. They will have their package ready for Berlin in February and start production next year.

I’ve put up a lot on Let Me In already, but now that some good notes are coming back from Toronto, I have six more clips to share. Speaking of Toronto, I confusingly heard someone say it was, “too true to the original,” whatever that might mean. I suppose it could indicate the lack of necessity in creating something that was too close to the material it’s working from, but it struck me as odd.
At any rate, I’ve be hearing good press from those who have managed to take it in, and if you’ve seen the original, this is surely something that is on the top of the list of things to look forward to.

Overture Films has recently launched a viral website for Matt Reeves' Let the Right One In re-adaptation/remake Let Me In, which today revealed a five new photos from the movie -- including a look at Richard Jenkins as Abby's "guardian." The viral website HelpMe.net has been updated with four riddles, that each unlock a new image from the film. Overture Films has released a new movie trailer for Matt Reeves' big screen adaptation Let Me In, a remake of the critically acclaimed 2008 Swedish film Let The Right On In. You can read about the Comic-Con panel, where this new trailer premiered, in our previous coverage. I was extremely impressed with the footage they screened in Hall H. According to Variety, “Cloverfield” director Matt Reeves will write and direct the vampire tale “Let the Right One In” for Overture Films and Hammer Films. The film, a remake of Tomas Alfredson’s Swedish film “Lat Den Ratte Komma In” based on a novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist, centers on a young boy who befriends a female neighbor who moves to town. "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves has signed to write and direct the horror remake "Let the Right One In" for Overture Films and Hammer Films.
The Swedish horror film, "Lat den ratte komma in," about a bullied boy whose desire for revenge becomes intertwined with his growing love for a girl who happens to be a vampire, began showing at festivals at the beginning of the year. Hammer Films picked up the remake rights in May after the film won the best narrative feature award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
