If you follow Rebecca Hessel Cohen on Instagram, then you know that she’s audacious, an aficionado of pink, bows and florals, whose message is that it’s Ok to dress like a fairytale — and it’s Ok to let your inner 5-year-old out. From the airport she arrived at the Ritz Paris hotel, her usual stronghold when she’s in the city, to show off her brand LoveShackFancy’s newest collection, Autumn Winter 2024.
The collection was first unveiled during New York Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago, but in true Cohen style as she does every season, she also brings the collection over to Paris, restaging it to show to European buyers, media and clientele.
The 42-year-old mom of two, who runs the ultra-feminine-centric brand with her husband Todd Cohen, had just come off a whirlwind past few weeks, what with a new collection launch, celebrating a birthday...

A month ago, StyleHaul inked a deal with Verizon’s go90 mobile video service to produce exclusive content. Now, the female-centric lifestyle and beauty network has revealed the first project to come out of that pact, a dramedy series called Relationship Status.
Relationship Status follows several, year-long intertwining stories of NYC and La-based millennials as they deal with the ups and downs of friendship and love in a world driven by social media. Written by Céline Geiger (The Lying Game), Relationship Status hails from executive producers James Frey through his Full Fathom Five banner and Milo Ventimiglia (of Heroes fame), under his Divide Pictures production house. Full Fathom Five’s Todd Cohen and Divide’s Russ Cundiff will also executive produce, while Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum (Mistresses) directs.

Writer-producer Andrew Miller, who developed and executive produced the CW’s drama series The Secret Circle last season, has sold two hourlong projects: Saga at ABC, co-produced by Amblin TV, and an untitled Rodeo project at Fox, which has Ruben Fleischer executive producing and potentially directing. Miller is writing/executive producing both shows. In the high-concept Saga, which could be a potential companion to ABC’s fairytale drama Once Upon A Time, when the author of a best-selling book series (think J.K. Rowling) goes missing before she can complete the final installment in her epic fantasy saga, a family of fans discovers she’s been kidnapped into the very real world of her books and attempts to rescue her. The project originated with Full Fathom Five, whose James Frey and Todd Cohen will executive produce alongside Amblin TV’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank as well as Miller. ABC Studios is producing.

After spending untold amounts of cash on hundreds of dramas and comedies — most of which will never make it to your living rooms — the five broadcast networks will begin announcing in New York next week which projects are good enough to earn a coveted fall pickup. (NBC and Fox will present their fall schedule to advertisers on Monday, followed by ABC on Tuesday, CBS on Wednesday and the CW on Thursday).
Buzz is already strong for several projects (for more on the hot ones, click here). But every year, we always wonder what diamond-in-the-rough was left on the cutting room...

The CW got on the board today with its first pilot orders this season. The network has picked up 4 drama pilots, including Awakening, the spec script the CW bought just last week. CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff had made launching medical, legal and cop franchises on the network a priority and her pilot picks reflect that. Three of the 4 pilots are procedurals - one medical (Hart of Dixie), which comes from Gossip Girl co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, one police drama (Cooper and Stone), and one legal (Heavenly), which has supernatural elements. Additionally, zombie drama Awakening has a legal drama element, as the central character is a public defender. Here are descriptions of the 4 CW pilots: Awakening, written on spec by William Laurin & Glenn Davis, centers on two sisters who come of age and face off against one another amidst the beginning of a zombie uprising. In centers on the older one,...
