The story was not complete...why it stop filming

I just started last year to rent and watched all the US series. Many TV series were not interesting or exciting and I give up after watching a few episodes. Beginning to watch Tru Calling this month but was so surprised why the series stop at Season 2 episodes 6. It was a very nice and exciting show especially Season 2. I was excited to know what happen when Tru get to know that her father was a killer and how the ending. Disappointed that the series just stop like that.
