Season 2 of The Sandman has cast three new siblings of The Endless family: Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester and Barry Sloane.
Netflix’s The Sandman is getting ready for season 2 as the streamer announces new additions to the series’ cast.
Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester and Barry Sloane have been cast in the series as Delirium, Destiny and The Prodigal respectively. These are the three remaining siblings of the Endless family.
Season 2 was announced first in November 2022 but the production itself was severely delayed by the Hollywood strikes in 2023. It looks like things are back on track as a new, very short teaser has been released.

Wake up, fans of “The Sandman,” we’ve got some Season 2 news for you: The Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s epic graphic novel series has cast the final three siblings in the “Endless Family” of Tom Sturridge’s Dream — Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny and Barry Sloane as “The Prodigal.”
In “The Sandman” comic book series, The Prodigal is the estranged Endless sibling named Destruction, but Netflix has taken care to label Sloane’s role as “The Prodigal,” which is the way the character is referred to throughout the first volumes of the story. The three new castings point to “The Sandman” Season 2 covering the graphic novel’s iconic installment, “Season of Mists.”
The trio of new “The Sandman” Season 2 actors will join the Endless siblings returning from Season 1: Death (Kirby), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), Despair (Donna Preston) and Dream, The Sandman himself.

Thanks to Netflix‘s upcoming animated series Exploding Kittens, Tom Ellis is trading his horns for a halo by becoming God after playing Lucifer Morningstar in the fan-favorite supernatural drama Lucifer. Netflix parted the heavens on Thursday to reveal an Exploding Kittens trailer, teasing the animated series based on the popular card game Matthew Inman, Elan Lee, and Shane Small created. Netflix’s Exploding Kittens is an adult animated series starring Tom Ellis and Sasheer Zamata as two rotund housecats on opposite ends of a holy war.
In Netflix’s Exploding Kittens trailer, God is transformed into Godcat (Tom Ellis) and cast down to Earth to live with a dysfunctional family while reconnecting with his humanity. Meanwhile, Beelzebub lives next door in the form of a tubby void cat prone to naps in sunbeams and zoomies at ungodly hours.

The DC/Vertigo comics draw significant inspiration from world mythology, adding an intriguing layer to their stories. DC has borrowed elements from Greek mythology, such as the Olympian gods and the Amazons, while also incorporating Lucifer from Christian theology. Similarly, Vertigo has drawn from Sumerian and Jewish mythology with Lilith and Inuit beliefs with Sedna. This amalgamation of mythological elements appeals to readers who appreciate the ability to draw parallels and explore these rich cultural narratives through the lens of their favorite fandoms. The incorporation of mythologies from diverse cultures into the DC universe taps into our innate fascination with these ancient tales. It allows readers to delve deeper into the stories, recognizing familiar elements and drawing connections, ultimately fostering a greater appreciation for the mythological roots behind these stories.

He’s obsessed with his own mission, puts his moral beliefs above others’ comfort, breaks the law on daily basis, and can kill or torture the people he personally finds guilty. But have you seen that trickster’s smile? It’s impossible not to love Jane!

For all Lucifer had going for it, it’s cast was particularly worth of applause. Lucifer is a suspenseful and drama-filled series on Netflix starring Lucifer Morningstar, the fallen angel who decided to rebel again and move from hell to the sizzling city of Los Angeles to try something new. While on Earth, he does everything he never got the chance to do, like indulging in women and alcohol, much to his angelic brother’s disapproval. However, the outstanding cast members who kept viewers interested in the show’s twists and turns made Lucifer a fan-favorite show that lasted six seasons. The chemistry...

At the end of 2022, I was given the Goliath task of explaining to our readers (and much of our staff) why the internet had gone completely feral over the animated design of the Devil Daddy himself, Lucifer Morningstar, on "Hazbin Hotel." Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano debuted the animated musical pilot for "Hazbin Hotel" on YouTube in 2019, funded entirely by Medrano's Patreon followers and brought to life completely by freelance animators. It quickly went viral and generated a diehard fanbase, one that exists on the fringes of fandom circles and well outside of four-quadrant entertainment.
It's adult animation, but too edgy for the constraints of something like "The Simpsons." It's as raunchy as "South Park," but caters to a queerer audience base. It boasts a Broadway cast as impressive as "Central Park," but without the "Hamilton" name recognition to excite your mom. "Hazbin Hotel" is what happens when you grow up watching...

Gwendoline Christie has had another great year on television, with scene-stealing turns in both drama and comedy series. After appearing in Netflix’s acclaimed adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s “The Sandman,” the “Game of Thrones” star was featured in another Netflix hit, the widely popular “Wednesday.”
“The Sandman” follows Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, the personification of dreams who escapes from an occult ritual after 106 years and tries to re-establish his realm, the Dreaming. Christie plays Lucifer Morningstar, the ruler of Hell, and the show’s iteration of the Devil. Tom Ellis‘ “Lucifer” took a more liberal approach in its adaptation of Gaiman’s character, but Christie’s iteration is far closer to the version found in Gaiman’s original work.
Episode four features a scene wherein Morpheus visits hell and talks with Lucifer. It’s a fantastic example of Christie’s portrayal of the devil, as she turns any preconceptions...

Many have tried to film Neil Gaiman’s 1989–96 dark fantasy comic book series set in a universe where mythology, gods and nightmares collide. Now, finally, comes a lavish and surreal adaptation. Here are some key players of Netflix’s The Sandman. Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) Also known as Dream, he rules everything outside of reality and is one of seven powerful beings called the Endless. In the opener, he’s been imprisoned by an occultist (Charles Dance) for 100 years—but not for much longer. Lucifer Morningstar (Gwendoline Christie) Inspiration for Tom Ellis’ devilish role in Lucifer, this fallen angel oversees Hell. In the hands of Christie (Game of Thrones), however, she looks more chilling than cheeky. Johanna Constantine (Jenna Coleman) An ancestor of exorcist John Constantine, Johanna is an occult detective who mysteriously factors into different time periods. Mervyn Pumpkinhead (Mark Hamill) The Star Wars icon voices the gourd-headed janitor, while Patton Oswalt (A.

After decades of developmental back and forth, the screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman's iconic comic-book series "The Sandman" is finally arriving on Netflix on Aug. 5. The fantasy series follows Morpheus, aka Dream, a powerful being who rules over the world of Dreaming. The clip comes hear the end as we see images of Lucifer standing in front of a crowd of demons in hell, then directly — and very friendly — addressing Dream of the Endless (Tom Sturridge) asking, “are you well?”

“Lucifer” was a popular show, inspired by DC Comics character of the same name Lucifer Morningstar, that found a final home on Netflix for its last few seasons. However, “Lucifer” originally came from another DC property from Neil Gaiman relating to a series simply titled “The Sandman”. Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman” certainly doesn’t come off as a DC Comics title but characters such as Batman, Martian Manhunter, Constantine, Green Lantern, and others make small appearances in the series. While “The Sandman” explored themes of mythological proportions, “Lucifer” pulled more directly from the Bible, which immediately separates these stories from each

If you’re reading this post right now, we’re 99% sure you are one of the “Lucifer” fans who has just reached the point in Season 6 where it is revealed that Rory, the new character played by Brianna Hildebrand, isn’t just some random angel with an ax to grind, and she isn’t just Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) angry, abandoned daughter, she’s Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer’s daughter — from the freaking future.
Yeah, that’s a lot to process for Chloe and Lucifer as they find out the truth, and for viewers who get that info along with them. But it also was a huge shock for the stars of the show, who told TheWrap what they thought of “Lucifer” showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson’s biggest twist...

This is an excerpt from TV Guide Magazine’s Sci-Fi & Fantasy Special Collector’s Issue, which is available for international pre-order online at SciFi2021.com and available nationwide on newsstands on Tuesday, September 14. Holy smokes! As Lucifer Morningstar — the fallen angel exiled from Heaven by his father, God — Tom Ellis has been scorching our screens since the first time we saw him swagger through Lux nightclub and set off sparks with his future paramour, Det. Chloe Decker, when the show premiered in 2016. (Netflix picked up the series after Fox canceled it in 2018.) The living embodiment of the DC Comics character, Ellis’ LAPD consultant proves to be a perfectly aloof antihero, helping solve crimes while getting into lots of cheeky trouble. But he’s not the only one onscreen who has kept us hooked all these years. Lucifer‘s Cast of Characters Chloe Decker (Lauren German) Literally a gift from God,...

Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming sixth and final (for real this time) season of “Lucifer” on Tuesday, revealing that Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) are having a hard time letting go of their normal(ish) life in Los Angeles and heading up to the Silver City so the once-Devil can take his rightful place on the throne after earning the title of God.
“What’s the rush? Becoming God is a big job. Maybe he doesn’t want to go in half-cocked,” Chloe says to Amenadiel, when he comes to tell Lucifer it’s time for him to ascend. “I should definitely be full-cocked,” Lucifer adds.
While the almost-Lord on High and his soulmate are procrastinating, Ella (Aimee Garcia) says the “apocalypse” appears to be on its way and a mysterious angel with red wings (played by Brianna Hildebrand) is seeking vengeance on Lucifer for some reason.

“It’s always more fun to play a baddie,” Tom Ellis declares with a knowing grin about playing the titular Devil on Netflix’s blockbuster fantasy drama “Lucifer.” For our recent webchat, he adds, “It is cathartic in a way, as an actor, to be able to play a character that says everything that you probably would want to say in real life, but can’t get away with saying.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

Netflix released a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the upcoming dark fantasy series “The Sandman.”
Based on the comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman, “The Sandman” is a rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven. The story follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.
Released during Netflix’s first-ever Geeked Week celebration, Gaiman narrated the behind-the-scenes video that gave fans a hint of what to expect from the series. The author described the world as “the place that we go when we close our eyes at night,” referring to the Dreaming — which is ruled by Morpheus (Tom Sturridge).
“I’m someone who is an obsessive ‘Sandman’ fan,” Sturridge said. “It’s an awesome responsibility because it’s something that is so beloved.

Lucifer Season 5 Episode 10
“We celestials are pretty much the same as you.”
It’s the bold series that takes on the demands of producing a musical episode that manages to not only seamlessly blend lyrically into the overall narrative arc but also give fans a peek into another side of the characters and actors. Like it or not, any attempt to blend singing and dancing with an active storyline will be somehow measured against Joss Whedon and Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s “Once More, with Feeling,” long considered the gold standard of musical episodes. “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam” more than holds its own, and Lucifer successfully continues its tale of familial discord and the universal, individual struggle with self worth.
It comes as no surprise that Tom Ellis (Lucifer Morningstar) and his glorious vocal talents help carry this delightful effort, but the rest of the...

This article contains WandaVision episode 4 spoilers, as well as potential spoilers for future episodes and the wider MCU.
WandaVision episode 4 ditches the sitcom format in favor of something that gives us a much clearer picture of what’s happening in the “real” MCU. Primarily functioning as a Monica Rambeau origin story, and one that gives us a better look at the inner working of Sword (and puts FBI Agent Jimmy Woo front and center!), this week’s WandaVision also answers some big questions about what’s going on in Westview. Or does it?
Let’s get to work…
Monica Rambeau
This episode is more or less Monica’s MCU origin story. We learn that Monica was snapped, Maria wasn’t, and she died two years after Monica disappeared. Her reappearance after “the blip” makes this chronologically the first appearance of adult Monica in the MCU, taking place concurrently with the final act of Avengers: Endgame.

Get ready for one crazy family reunion when Lucifer next returns to Netflix.
The finale to the first half of season 5 of the hit show ended with a hell – or maybe that should be a heaven? – of a cliffhanger. As Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) teamed up with Amenadiel (D.B. And don’t expect his visit to be a short one, either.

From the Good Omens and American Gods TV series to the How to Talk to Girls at Parties film and at The Ocean at the End of the Lane play, it’s been a good couple of years to be a fan of Neil Gaiman adaptations. This is especially true if you’re a fan of The Sandman, the acclaimed comic book series written by Gaiman and published by DC Comics. Earlier this year, Audible released a multi-part audio drama directed by Dirk Maggs with Gaiman acting as the creative director, executive producer, and narrator on the project, and Netflix continues to move forward with its own screen adaptation of the graphic novel. The latest news? The project has found its star…

We just got the first half of Lucifer season 5 last month, but fans are still hungry for more and desperate to get their hands on season 5B. Unfortunately, like many TV shows, it’s been held up, with filming having to shut down halfway through the finale earlier this year. The good news, though, is that shooting is resuming this very month, so a release date may be in sight. While we still don’t have one yet, we have just got the next best thing: a new clip from the run’s most-anticipated episode.
Season 5B will include an all-singing, all-dancing musical outing and a full clip was released via DC FanDome this weekend. For those who missed it, Lucifer Morningstar himself, Tom Ellis, shared the video on his Twitter account, and without further ado, you can check it out below. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

If you're confused as to why Lucifer (Tom Ellis) popped up during last year's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" Arrowverse crossover event, you're not alone. However, it gets much less confusing when you realize that Lucifer is actually based on a character from Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, who eventually received his own DC spinoff. In the comics, Lucifer Morningstar is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe. Even with his immense power, he abandons his lordship of Hell out of boredom in favor of running a club called Lux, exactly as he does on the show.

(Warning: This post contains major spoilers for the Season 5A finale of “Lucifer.”)
“Imagine running a marathon and then getting right to the end and then they go, ‘Oh, by the way, the finish line is a little bit further.'” That’s how Tom Ellis described to TheWrap Netflix’s decision to renew “Lucifer” for a sixth and final season, after previously picking it up for a fifth and final season, after rescuing it for a fourth season following its cancellation at Fox after its third season.
“We’ve been through this whole journey of cancellation, then #SaveLucifer, which was obviously incredible, and then when they renewed us, they said it was going to the be final season,” said Ellis, who plays Lucifer Morningstar on the supernatural drama. “And it was only going to be 10 episodes, but then it was 16, and then they split it in half. So it’s this constant moving thing.
