The girls in this film are unhappy because they are starting high school and are popular with no boyfriends. Instead of not worrying about the high school pecking order, and being happy they have each other (except for one who is about to move away), they decide to do stupid and illegal activities to try and make things better! As if the popular girls would give up without a fight! Most girls I know hated this film and it made them feel bad about themselves! It says if you're unpopular and don't have a boyfriend, you are a total loser! And you must behave badly at all costs to become more popular and get an older boyfriend! Then all your troubles will be over! Unless you're fat, in which case you can only get a fat boyfriend.
