Drew Barrymore revealed on a recent episode of her daytime talk show that she was told to dial her performance back during the making of the 1999 romantic comedy “Never Been Kissed.” Barrymore starred in the film as Josie, an insecure copy editor who has never had a real relationship. The movie was notable for Barrymore as it marked the first official title under her Flower Films production banner.
“At that time, people were very weary of actors being producers,” Barrymore said. “A lot of it wasn’t necessarily working, and it didn’t mean because you were an actor, you knew how to produce the film. And it was about the economics. So if you didn’t make the film work, and you produced it as an actor, you are likely to not be able to do it again.”

The late Robin Williams had the incredible and unmatched ability to make people laugh. His volcanic energy, genius delivery, and rapid impressions made him a household name. Williams’ immense success in the 1990s eventually opened the door for more serious films, including the tender Good Will Hunting and the fantastical What Dreams May Come. Not everything that came after was as well received or recognized, but Williams continued to pursue other genres outside of comedy. The actor had his fair share of dramatic performances to complement his comedic ones, but it was Williams’ sinister turn in 2002’s One Hour Photo that caught everyone off guard. No one was expecting Mrs. Doubtfire or Aladdin’s genie to star in such an unsettling psychological-thriller.
Sy the Photo Guy remains a defining character in Williams’ career, even after playing another villain in Insomnia that same year. However, to outright label the chronically lonely...

The mid-2000s were an excellent time for serialized action shows. There were 24, Lost, Chuck, Prison Break and loads more. But, perhaps the best of all of them – for a while anyway – was J.J. Abrams’ Alias, which starred Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, a black ops agent for what she thinks is a unit of the CIA, Sd-6. Of course, the truth turns out to be much deadlier, as Sydney finds out in the influential pilot episode, which aired September 30th, 2001.
The series immediately became a big hit, with Jennifer Garner rivalling Angelina Jolie for a while as one of the top female action stars of the era. It paved the way for her to be cast as Elektra in the early Marvel movie Daredevil (a role she reprises in Deadpool 3), and the show also offered an early part to a young Bradley Cooper, who played her friend Will Tippin.

Jane Fonda went down memory lane on The Drew Barrymore Show remembering films from her acting career. When an image of the 2005 rom-com Monster-in-Law came up, Fonda recalled the infamous slap scene opposite Jennifer Lopez that left her with an injury.
“The thing that comes to mind right away is we have a slapping scene – I slap her, she slaps me…,” Fonda recalled. “Well Jennifer, as per Jennifer, she had this enormous diamond ring and so when she slapped me one of the times it cut open across my eye – my eyebrow.”
Fonda continued, “And she’s never apologized.”
Monster-in-Law was directed by Robert Luketic and written by Anya Kochoff about aspiring fashion designer Charlie (Lopez) who has to face her mother-in-law played by Fonda who will do anything to ruin her relationship with her son. Um, Michael Vartan just confessed he got a little too excited to lock lips with Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed. The actor, who played the Sam to her Josie in the 1999 movie, joined his former co-star on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, Sept. 14, for a special cast reunion. On air, Michael surprised Drew by revealing his "very embarrassing" story about their climactic kiss on the baseball field more than 20 years ago. And even she didn't know anything about it, until now. "I get up to the mound, we embrace and we start kissing and you really kissed me," he told her. "And I was not ready for it, in the least. And I'm a man. I was a very young...

It's officially been two decades since Drew Barrymore charmed viewers in one of the more, uh, unique back-to-school films out there. In honor of the 20th anniversary of Never Been Kissed, Barrymore reminisced about the beloved romantic comedy, which also happened to be the first film under her Flower Films production company. "Josie Grossie forever," wrote Barrymore on Instagram.
As a refresher, Never Been Kissed follows copy editor Josie Geller as she takes on her first big writing assignment: an undercover look at the lives of high school students. Along the way, she is forced to face painful memories of her own high school experience, although she eventually falls in with the popular clique on her second go-around. Oh, and she also falls in love with her teacher, portrayed by Michael Vartan.

The contract has been broken.
This time, it wasn't Kyle or Megan who opted to get out, but E! itself.
The Arrangement has been canceled after two seasons at the network, making The Arrangement Season 2 Episode 10 the series finale.
The Arrangement starred Josh Henderson, Christine Evangelista, Lexa Doig and Michael Vartan.
Henderson's role as Kyle put him in position as a sort of young Tom Cruise, deeply enmeshed in a Scientology-type organization that controlled his every move.
He was so embroiled within The Institute of the Higher Mind that he allowed Terrance Howard (Vartan) and his wife, DeAnn (Doig), map out not only his career but find him women suitable for representing the Ihm values, as well.
That's where Megan (Evangelista), and all the fun of the series came into play.

E! has opted not to pick up a third season of its original scripted series The Arrangement. The show’s recent May 13 Season 2 finale served as a series finale.
“Over two seasons, E!’s scripted series The Arrangement has taken viewers inside the world of an A-list movie star filled with secrets, scandal and romance,” a E! spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline. “While we have decided not to move forward with the series, we are incredibly grateful to the cast and our production partners.”
The Arrangement was one of two original scripted series on E! along with The Royals, whose fourth season aired alongside The Arrangement. The fate of that series, whose creator-showrunner Mark Schwahn was fired in December amid sexual harassment allegations, has not been decided.

Michael Vartan doesn't do sequels. Asked by E!'s Daily Pop if he would ever dip a toe back into his pool of exes, The Arrangement star—who ended his yearlong romance with Jennifer Garner in 2004—replied, "I don't think so." After all, he opined, if the first go-round was unsuccessful, "There's a reason it didn't work." Same could be said for Garner's other famous ex.
