Tom Cruise is the ultimate master, the best, the Goat, and whatnot when it comes to acting, stunts, and action scenes. Known for performing death-defying and horribly challenging stunts in almost all of his roles, the actor’s antics hardly leave fans stunned, who by now are unbothered by the level of commitment the actor has towards his craft.

“The Crown” could well bow out in style on home soil, with the final outing of the show leading the list of nominees for the 2024 BAFTA TV and TV Craft awards, announced Wednesday.
Netflix’s hit royal drama — which came to an end last year after six seasons — landed eight nominations in total, including for Dominic West, Elizabeth Debecki, Lesley Manville and Salim Daw in the performance categories. The Crown’s swansong season has dominated the BAFTA TV nominations, picking up eight in a record year for Netflix.
Although it missed out in the coveted Drama Series category, four of the Netflix royal smash’s actors were handed nods today including Dominic West, who played Prince Charles, and Elizabeth Debicki, who was Princess Diana. Salim Daw and Lesley Manville are the other two nominated actors and actresses, while The Crown also received nominations in the likes of costume design, make up and sound.
Netflix achieved a record haul and was second only to the BBC with nominations, comfortably eclipsing stalwarts ITV and Channel 4 as Top Boy and Black Mirror were also rewarded.
Although not its most critically-rated season, Peter Morgan’s royal saga ended late last year with a bang and plenty controversy, and the noms come amid the ongoing Kate Middleton saga.

Stellan Skarsgård is almost unrecognizable in his role as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen in Dune and its recently release sequel, Dune: Part Two. Skarsgård has undergone an impeccable transformation in the makeup room to turn into the overarching villain of these movies.
The hours spent in makeup is nothing new for the actor as he chose to do the same for his character, Bootstrap Bill Turner, in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Classic 1990s comedy chat show The Kumars is returning to television, here are the details.
In the 1990s, there were two shows which brought black British comedy into the mainstream. The first was The Real McCoy, a sketch show which launched the television careers of double acts Curtis Walker and Ishmael Thomas, and Llewella Gideon and Collette Johnson. Later series featured Robbie Gee, Eddie Nestor, Judith Jacob, Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Syal and the much missed Felix Dexter, amongst others.
The second series was sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, which premiered on the BBC in 1997. Taking an irreverent look at Asian-British experience, the series is probably best known for the now iconic ‘Going For An English’ sketch, which poked fun at the stereotypical British experience of going for a curry, but flipping races to an Indian family going out for bland English food.

It all started with dim sum, said Da’Vine Joy Randolph. It ended with knives pulled, screaming, and a near-death feeling.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, the Holdovers film star talked about the time when she and her best friend were enjoying a dim sum meal. Suddenly, strange noises erupted, and people started scrambling into the restaurant.
“We’re having amazing dim sum brunch and my back — it’s crazy when you have a near-death experience, the details, you remember everything — my back was to the door and I hear this kerfuffle and I see people rushing in, so my brain’s like, ‘Is this a flash mob?’” Randolph said. “Because, like, why is everyone rushing in? But I was like, ‘Uhh, that’s not on trend anymore. We haven’t done that in a long time.’”
Her friend disappeared, and Randolph was even more nervous. “I’m like,...

Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed on “The Graham Norton Show” that he once hired an accent removal coach to try and do away with his thick Austrian accent for good. Aside from his jacked muscles, the action star’s accent is his most definitive quality as a performer.
“I had an English coach and an acting coach and a speech coach and an accent-removal coach, who has passed away since then, but I should have otherwise gotten my money back,” Schwarzenegger said while looking back on his early days trying to make it big in the industry. “The bottom line is, I worked on it. I remember he’d say, ‘You know you always say s-ree. It’s three, with a T-h.’ So he had me say, ‘Three thousand three hundred and thirty-three and one-third,’ with the T-h and not with the S.”

Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s All About Eve has ably demonstrated that a catty feud between theater critics and actresses is crackling subject matter for witty, adult entertainment. Anand Tucker’s The Critic follows a similar premise and, auspiciously, recruited playwright Patrick Marber––a well-known luminary of the British theater scene––to pen a script packed with sharp, acerbic dialog. This, still, is not half-enough. In its quest to surprise audiences, The Critic jumps down too many rabbit holes, progressively losing all semblance of plausibility or insight it might’ve otherwise yielded.
The film is being billed as an adaptation of Anthony Quinn’s well-regarded novel Curtain Call, though one glance at the book summary indicates that significant liberties have been taken––notably, a murder-mystery strand has been entirely jettisoned. What we have instead is an interpersonal drama between several personalities either directly or tangentially related to the theater. Chief among...

Pedro Pascal has become everyone’s favorite on-screen dad thanks to his roles in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. In both hit shows, Pascal plays a father figure who keeps others out of harm’s way. So, is Pascal consciously choosing dad-forward roles to support the persona? Or has the typecasting gone too far? Here’s what he said.
Pedro Pascal says there might be ‘something’ about him that selects dad-forward roles

Exclusive: UK management agency Ymu is set to make up to 9% of staff redundant following a company review. At the same time, key lender Permira Credit will become its majority shareholder as part of the restructure, we can reveal.
Staff have been informed of the plans internally in the past hour. We hear headcount will be reduced by around 8-9% — up to 32 of Ymu’s 350 employees — and the redundancy process will begin in September. This comes after an independent review of the business by AlixPartners was undertaken to assess routes to a firmer financial footing following a testing post-pandemic period.
Specialist credit investor Permira Credit, which has been a major lender to Ymu, is planning to make what’s thought to be a sizeable investment in the company, and the agency’s leadership team will also equity partners as part of the agreement. Quentin Tarantino has helmed many popular movies over the past three decades, but his 1994 crime drama Pulp Fiction is possibly the most beloved. The film not only put Tarantino on the map as Hollywood’s newest hitmaker, but it also revived John Travolta’s career, proving that he could headline a major movie, even after a lengthy gap in his resume.
There are a number of memorable scenes in Pulp Fiction, but the dance sequence between Travolta’s Vincent Vega and Uma Thurman’s Mia Wallace is the most iconic. Interestingly enough, Tarantino was inspired by a Disney animated classic when coming up with the concept for the sequence.
‘Pulp Fiction’ became a major critical and commercial success

Graham Norton will host the U.K. reboot of “Wheel of Fortune” on broadcast channel ITV1 and streamer Itvx.
The game show, based on the U.S. format, is being produced by Whisper North, part of the Sony Pictures Television-backed Whisper Group.
“Wheel of Fortune” was broadcast for 14 seasons between 1988-2001 on ITV. Returning for an 8 x 60′ run, which includes two celebrity specials, the game show will again be centred around a giant carnival wheel as the contestants spin to win for a cash prize. The turn of the wheel secures a cash value before they pick a letter to help them solve the puzzle. For every correct letter they reveal in the puzzle they win multiples of that amount. They could lose everything at a spin of a wheel which contains ‘bankrupts’ and ‘lose a turn’ and the contestants’ entire winnings could be wiped out. In addition to cash,...

Graham Norton is set to front ITV’s Wheel of Fortune reboot in the U.K.
The Sony Pictures Television-backed Whisper North announced it will bring the iconic game show to ITV1 and Itvx in 2024 after a U.K. version of Wheel of Fortune aired on ITV from 1988-2001.
“I’m beyond excited to be bringing such an iconic American show to a new British audience. My first ever TV job was a game show on ITV so this feels like coming full circle. You might even call it a wheel!” Norton, host of the popular BBC talker The Graham Norton Show, said in a statement.
The news comes as Ryan Seacrest was just named as the next host of the U.S. version of Wheel of Fortune, replacing the retiring Pat Sajak.

What a drag. Paramount+ has cancelled the Queen of the Universe TV series, so the streamer won't be making a third season. Not only that, the show is being pulled from the service less than two weeks after the last batch of episodes were released.
Hosted Graham Norton, Queen of the Universe features the world's fiercest drag performers as they sing live and debut new musical performances before a studio audience and the Pop Diva Panel of judges. Their hope is to be crowned the "Queen of the Universe." Judges for season two include Michelle Visage, Vanessa Williams, Trixie Mattel, and Mel B.Read More…...

Paramount+ is in slash-and-burn mode after canceling several original series, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe, and The Game. Paramount is taking these titles off its streaming platform to reap the benefits of a content write-down. Sadly, two shows in the lineup won’t make it past their first season.
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies has been canceled after one season, while Star Trek: Prodigy is being canceled ahead of its previously announced second season. Meanwhile, The Game, and Queen of the Universe, the reality show hosted by Graham Norton, have both been canceled after two seasons.
Paramount+ will remove all four series from the streamer to qualify for the write-down. However, creatives can shop each title to other networks or streamers for the chance at another life. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe,...
