Don't ask me how, but the FX Network and seasoned writer and exec-producer of The Shield, Kurt Sutter, have done it again. I'm not quite sure how FX developed their knack for cutting edge programming, but they seem to have it down to a science. SOA manages to come across super hardcore and original, without being too esoteric. With a cast consisting of Charlie Hunnan, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal, Kurt Sutter has once again hit the jackpot with a serialized story about a small town and the outlaw biker club which inhabits and to a certain degree, runs the town. SOA is yet another show like The Shield that is not only gritty as all hell, but as hell maintains a balance of genuine drama and humour to keep things interesting. If FX's record is any indication, SOA should be a hardcore show that only gets better as time goes on.
