In my house, Ghostbusters is kind of “our thing.” Some couples collect models, great bottles of wine, artwork, antiques, whatever. In our house, we collect Ghostbusters stuff. Almost anything related to Ghostbusters that has been released over the years is probably residing in our home in some form or another. It’s a movie that meant a lot to our childhoods (I am old enough to have seen it in theaters, and even sat alone as a youngster in the theater because it was so crowded and only single seats were left), and my boyfriend and I even saw Ghostbusters on our first date at a repertory screening during the 2009 La Film Festival.
So for me, Ghostbusters is serious business (or as serious as you can be about a movie—this is just a piece of art, after all, not a matter of life or death), and I had been...

The leads are set, the supporting cast is rounding itself out, and now Paul Feig's female reinterpretation of Ghostbusters just found its villain through "SNL" writer Neil Casey. Casey becomes the fifth comedian from the late-night program involved in this re-imagining, behind leads Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, alum Kristen Wiig and supporting player Cecily Strong. He also joins other lead Melissa McCarthy and fellow supporting members Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams and Chris Hemsworth in the July 22, 2016-set comedy, currently in production in New York City. In addition to writing for Lorne Michaels' show, Casey also dabbled his pen in "The Kroll Show" and "Inside Amy Schumer." As an actor he's performed in number of projects, including Feig's Yahoo series "Other Space," in addition to appearances on "Veep," "Broad City," and "The League." This is not only the first studio movie he'll ever do, but will only be...

With filming currently taking place in Boston, Paul Feig’s much ballyhooed, but highly anticipated, Ghostbusters reboot has three new additions to its cast, with Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire), and Neil Casey (Veep, Inside Amy Shumer) slotting in alongside the movie’s gender bended ghost busting quartet of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, as well as Chris Hemsworth as the teams receptionist. Garcia will be taking on the role of the Mayor of New York City, while Williams will be playing a character called Hawkins. Nothing much else is known about the role, but Im hoping for a character similar to Epa agent Walter Peck. Casey’s the interesting addition though, being billed as Rowan, the movie’s big bad. Nothing much is known about the character, but it seems this reboot will be at least be featuring a bad guy...

Neil Casey has been set to play the villain in Paul Feig's female-driven reboot of the "Ghostbusters" comedy franchise at Sony Pictures. Filming is already underway in Boston.
Casey is an SNL writer and actor who has also penned material for "Inside Amy Schumer" and "The Kroll Show". As an actor he's worked on "Veep," "Broad City,"
"Playing House" and "The League".
Details of Casey's character Rowan are being kept under wraps. Feig and Kate Dippold penned the script for the film which is targeting a July 22nd 2016 release.

The "Ghostbusters" have a new bad guy to defeat - Neil Casey.
"Who?" is probably what you're wondering, considering that Paul Feig's reboot boasts a star-studded cast. Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones are playing the busters, and Chris Hemsworth is on board as the receptionist. Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, and Cecily Strong will also appear in the movie.
Casey is primarily a writer whose credits include "Saturday Night Live" (a good match, then, since Wiig, McKinnon, Jones, and Strong are all current or former "SNL"-ers), "Inside Amy Schumer," and "The Kroll Show."
As an actor, he's appeared in "Veep" and "Broad City." And most notably - and likely the reason he got this gig - he stars in Feig's Yahoo original series "Other Space."
No word on what his character, Rowan, is like or how he gets involved in the ghost invasion that takes over Manhattan.

Alberto Del Rio defends his World title here against the challenger, Rob Van Dam under hardcore rules. Ricardo is in Rvd’s corner for the match. The fans are into the match early on with a number of signature moves from Van Dam, including a Ddt onto a chair, a moonsault from the ringside barrier and the introduction of a ladder which gets a loud reaction. We are only a few days away from one of the original “big four” WWE events of the year, an event that debuted in 1988 and has been a staple of annual WWE pay per view ever since, the Survivor Series.
Originally beginning as an event that hosted nothing but a card of eight-man elimination tag-team matches, with heels taking on faces throughout the night, Survivor Series has become a night where titles are on the line and there are a couple of traditional elimination contests kept in the mix to keep the fans of the original concept happy. I am a fan of the original Survivor Series contest and would love to see a full card of elimination matches with feuding superstars getting their hands on their adversaries in tag action and not one-on-one, for one night a year.

Scandal is about as crazy as any show from Shonda Rhimes gets, but it’s going to get a little crazier before it goes on winter break. Olivia Pope’s (Kerry Washington) life is going to take a tale spin in upcoming episodes as we get to know her mother. However, it won’t be happy times for Olivia since, if you’ve been keeping up with the show, her mother died recently. But that won’t stop Scandal from exploring their relationship and an actress has been cast in the part. It’s not going to be easy for Olivia, but it’s necessary to dig into the past as the show’s present gets beyond nuts.
Playing Maya Lewis, Olivia’s departed mother, is Treme’s Khandi Alexander. THR reported she would be recurring, beginning with Thursday’s episode. She’ll be seen in flashbacks since Huck and...

The Hollywood reporter writes that Olivia Pope's mother is HBO "Treme" star Khandi Alexander.Alexander will play matriarch Maya Lewis.During last week's Scandal, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Jake (Scott Foley) discovered that President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) shot down a civilian airliner with more than 300 passengers on board, including Olivia's mother, under orders from Olivia's dad, Rowan (Joe Morton).HBO's drama "Treme" which premiered Season 3 in September, has been renewed for a fourth and final season.

Prepare to meet the mother of all Gladiators. E! News confirms that Treme star Khandi Alexander has been cast as Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) late mother Maya Lewis. The actress, who will appear in multiple episodes throughout the third season, will first appear via flashback in this week's all-new episode, "Icarus." As of now, Scandal fans know very little about Oliva's mother. However, we do know that she helped shaped Olivia into the strong, fiery, and successful woman that she is today. Last week our fixer made a rare reference to Maya, when she mentioned that it was her mother who always taught her to speak her mind. A statement that Rowan (Joe Morton), her super-shady father, was less...

Get ready for the mother of all flashbacks, "Scandal" fans.
After revealing that Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) mom was aboard the shot-down civilian airliner at the center Operation Remington, it's been announced that "Treme" star Khandi Alexander has been cast as the deceased matriarch.
Alexander will recur as Maya Lewis, beginning in flashbacks in Thursday's (Nov. 7) episode, THR reports. Not only was it revealed during last week's episode that Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) was the one who shot down Maya's plane off the coast of Iceland, but he did so under orders from Olivia's diabolical father -- Maya's husband -- Rowan (Joe Morton).
Goldwyn tells THR that Olivia's mother becomes a "major issue" in the white-hatted fixer's life.
"You can only imagine what that would be like to find out that your mother did not die in the way that you thought she died, in terms of it being a willful act.

Amazing Race 23 eliminated Rowan Joseph & Shane Partlow in episode 2 tonight. Tonight's episode ,kicked off with the teams, finding out they had to make their way to the deck of some ship in town to get their first clue for this leg of the race. Once they got there, they had to find a famous phrase, and correctly repeat it to the officer that was on hand to get their next clue. From there, they were directed to head to another part of the city to find their next clue, which gave them their detours: Brining, or Mining. In the "Brining" detour, they had to ride a bicycle to a specific location. Then fill up a huge tub with salt and float around in it to get their next clue. In the "Mining" detour, they had to break boulders of salt until they broke the one with the clue in it.

The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 1: “We’re Not in Oklahoma No More” Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Phil Keoghan appears and tells us it is high noon, and that we are in an old western movie ranch. This is merely an excuse for fun music as nothing is really accomplished here, even after a tease that the money has been “stolen.” At least we get treated to two whole seconds of a stunt show style performance, because how else would you start the 23rd season of a reality show? Anyway, after a stumbling beginning, it’s thankfully all business as we meet the contestants. They are:
1. Former NFL Teammates Chester and Ephraim, who, incredibly, went from being bagger and customer to ending up on the same NFL team.
2. Theatre Performers Rowan and Shane, drag queens whose relationship is left predictably unclear.
3. Exes Tim and Marie, who have a hate/hate relationship.

This season, which marks the 23nd race around the world for the series, will bring back the Double Express Pass twist that was introduced last season, in which the first Team to check in at the first pit stop will earn two "Express Passes" -- one to keep for themselves and one that must be given to another Team by the end of the fifth leg of the Race.

Did you know that Bingo is more popular than the combined attendance of all NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, NHL hockey, Nascar and thoroughbred racing? And, the movie industry sold over $7 billion in movie tickets last year... however; with more people attending Bingo Halls than movie theatres in the United States, Bingo generated $10 billion in annual revenue last year in North America alone.

New York -- Ben McKenzie ("The O.C.") will be hitting U.S. cinemas this fall in "Dalton Trumbo's Johnny Got His Gun," the film version of his one-man stage show.
Truly Indie will release Rowan Joseph's anti-war drama, the portrait of a World War I soldier with battlefield injuries that leave him trapped in his own body, unable to communicate with others.
Trumbo adapted and directed his 1938 novel into a film in 1971. The current project is a filmed version of Bradley Rand Smith's 1982 Off-Broadway adaptation of the book, which starred Jeff Daniels.
The Greenwood Hill Prods. film will premiere Sept. 22 in Austin, followed by runs in California, New York and elsewhere. A portion of the film's proceeds will be donated to the Fallen Patriot Fund for families of Iraq War vets.
