A new episode of the Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? video series has been released this morning, and in this episode we’re looking back at one of the least popular films to be directed by the legendary John Carpenter: the 2001 release Ghosts of Mars (watch it Here). Why didn’t Ghosts of Mars turn out to be another Carpenter classic? We try to figure that out in the video embedded above.
Directed by Carpenter from a script he wrote with Larry Sulkis, Ghosts of Mars has the following synopsis: Long inhabited by human settlers, the Red Planet has become the manifest destiny of an over-populated Earth. Nearly 640,000 people now live and work all over Mars, mining the planet for its abundant natural resources. But one of those mining operations has uncovered a deadly mother lode: a long-dormant Martian civilization whose warriors are systematically taking over the bodies of human intruders.

With the abandoned, walled city of Las Vegas overrun with zombies, after a disastrous government fault, the billionaire casino magnate, Bly Tanaka, realises that he has left something in Sin City: $200 million to be more precise. For the time being, his mountains of cash are safe behind his impenetrable casino vault; however, the US President plans to nuke the entire city in less than 96 hours. Now, Tanaka is willing to pay $50 million to the decorated former mercenary, Scott Ward, and his hand-picked team to retrieve the money before the bomb obliterates the city. Indeed, this is a life-changing offer Scott cannot refuse; nevertheless, the rules have changed, and the horde of the...

To start this review I will just state, I am a big fan of Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake, so I was hopeful that this would be more of the same. While this may not be the case, what Army of the Dead gives us is a welcome dose of crazy zombie action in typical Zack Snyder style.
Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group or mercenaries are given the job of getting back into the city and pulling off one of the greatest heists ever. Not only do they have to get into one of the most secure safes in...

This Army of the Dead article contains spoilers.
It’s not a subtle image. But then who comes to a Zack Snyder movie for that? During the bloody and marvelous opening credits to Army of the Dead, the alpha zombie they call Zeus (Richard Cetrone) earns his nickname while staring up at a statue of the ancient Greek god of thunder in front of the fictional Mount Olympus hotel and casino. Our Mr. Zombie+ may not be an actual god, but one alpha can clearly recognize another’s game, and as we eventually learn, “Zeus” will make the Greco-Roman themed high-rise his home in the months to come.
Olympus is again the seat of power for those who seek to rule over all.

This Army of the Dead article contains spoilers.
There’s a moment during Army of the Dead when a team led by former mercenary Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), on a mission to recover a casino owner’s cash from a vault in ruined, zombie-ravaged Las Vegas, comes upon the remains of a previous team seemingly sent into the city for the same reason. Ward’s right-hand man, a philosophically inclined “zombie killing machine” named Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick), muses that perhaps this is their team — and that they’re caught in a time loop, repeating the same disastrous actions over and over again. What a concept, bro!
Of course, that’s not the case (this isn’t Doctor Strange or even Boss Level) and the bodies are simply those of a different team. But it does foreshadow the very end of this movie, which adapts the same nihilistic view of the...

Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead isn't your average zombie movie. The zombies that reside in Snyder's apocalyptic Las Vegas are fast-paced, intelligent, and organized, presenting a lethal threat of the utmost degree. There's a bonkers Elvis Presley impersonator and an undead tiger, and the whole flesh-eating bunch is led by zombie king Zeus (played by Rich Cetrone) and zombie alpha Queen (played by Athena Perample). These zombies have some semblance of human intelligence and are hell-bent on keeping other species from invading their community. Much like animals and humans, they have a social hierarchy among their kind, with the leaders communicating with their kingdom in sentient ways. To bring these alpha roles to life, Snyder appointed seasoned stunt professionals.

In Select Theaters May and on Netflix May 21 is the latest zombie movie Army Of The Dead.
From filmmaker Zack Snyder, Army Of The Dead takes place following a zombie outbreak that has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world.
When Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), a former zombie war hero who’s now flipping burgers on the outskirts of the town he now calls home, is approached by casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), it’s with the ultimate proposition: break into the zombie-infested quarantine zone to retrieve $200 million sitting in a vault beneath the strip before the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours. With little left to lose, Ward takes on the challenge, assembling a ragtag team of experts for the heist. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in,...

In the trailer for Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead,” Dave Bautista leads a team of mercenaries sent into Las Vegas in order to swipe $200 million from an abandoned casino vault.
The only problem is, the whole city has been ravaged by an army of undead warriors, and they’ve even got a zombie tiger to defend the city and keep the humans from getting out alive.
“They’re not what you think they are. They’re smarter, they’re faster, they’re organized,” one of the soldiers says in the “Army of the Dead” trailer.
“Army of the Dead” was directed, produced and co-written by Zack Snyder, who even served as his own cinematographer on the film. The film finds Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world. In the film, Bautista plays a displaced Vegas local and former zombie war hero who...

Netflix on Thursday dropped the first teaser for Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead,” starring Dave Bautista as the leader of an epic heist through a zombie-ravaged Las Vegas.
In a mashup of “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Dawn of the Dead,” “Army of the Dead” stars Bautista as the head of a team of mercenaries that tries to steal countless millions from a Vegas casino during a zombie invasion. The film was first announced in 2008 as a sequel to Universal’s remake of “Dawn of the Dead,” but spent years in development hell before Netflix picked up the rights in 2019.

Even as the Snyder Cut of Justice League moves towards an HBO Max release next month, there’s a second Zack Snyder project for 2021 that’s even more interesting. Yes, it’s Army of the Dead, his collaboration with Netflix. Interestingly, I only just learned that this was long intended to be (and perhaps still is) a sequel to Dawn of the Dead. Well, today we learned that it’s officially dropping on the streaming service this spring. Specifically, it hits on May 21st. A Trailer is just days away, too, so be sure to look out for that as well. It’s sure to be a big time spectacle from Snyder, to say the least. However, the project never got off the ground and was acquired by Netflix in January 2019, with Snyder on board to direct. With the Justice League Snyder Cut in the bag, the big question on DC fans’ lips now is whether Warner Bros. will follow it up by releasing the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad as well. Thanks to the director, we know that a lot of great material was removed from the theatrical cut that would’ve massively changed, and likely improved, the movie. There would’ve been more Harley, more Joker and even maybe a little bit more Batman, too.
Ben Affleck turned up as the Dark Knight for several scenes scattered throughout Suicide Squad as he arrested Deadshot and Harley in flashback and then appeared as Bruce Wayne in the post-credits scene. According to stunt performer Richard Cetrone though – who doubled for Affleck in all three of his Dceu appearances – he shot some extra action beats as Batman that didn’t make it into the theatrical version.

DC movies can sure be messy creations, with divisive works like Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League aspiring to cram so many characters and plot points into a single story that’s it’s often easy to miss the attention to detail that goes into all this dimly lit action.
Just take the Caped Crusader’s most recent costume for example, which stuntman Richard Cetrone wore in last year’s Justice League. Earlier this week, he took to Instagram to show off the full body of the tactical suit which Ben Affleck donned in the fight against Steppenwolf, giving us a pretty good look at it. Overall, it’s not a bad design, and Cetrone wears it well, while exhibiting the appropriately brooding facial expression to match.

Yesterday, Twitter user @ReevzFX provided a much-needed break from the scuttlebutt regarding the Dceu, namely Justice League and the long-fabled presence of a Snyder cut. The DC fan shared a trio of behind the scenes snapshots featuring Ben Affleck’s frequent stunt double, Richard Cetrone, in full Knightmare attire.
Although the images did their best to temporarily distract us from the latest Snyder revelation, which pertained to an actual screening of the Justice League director’s cut, the sun shone only for a brief moment, and it wasn’t long before the grim reality of the Dceu set back in.
Thankfully, another DC fan, this time on Instagram, has posted a previously unseen image of Batman from the aforementioned 2017 blockbuster, which you can check out below. Unfortunately, however, this time, it’s with Ben Affleck inhabiting the Batsuit. I say “unfortunately” because, while I do love me some Batfleck, the...

I reckon we could all use a break from the scuttlebutt regarding Justice League at the moment, right? Thankfully, Twitter user @ReevzFX has provided just that with a trio of behind the scenes snapshots from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice featuring Ben Affleck’s frequent stunt double, Richard Cetrone, in complete Knightmare attire, for your recreational viewing pleasure.
Cetrone, who also served as the stunt double recently for Paul Bettany in Solo: A Star Wars Story, can be seen in costume as Batman during the filming of the, for lack of a better word, badass Warehouse sequence as well as the aforementioned Knightmare scene.
This isn’t the first time that Cetrone is finding himself in the spotlight, either, as Zack Snyder recently hearkened back to a time when the Dceu was his to control, sharing an additional behind the scenes shot of the stuntman in the Batsuit on...

Typically, it’s been Zack Snyder divulging cut and concealed content from his time as creative director of the Dceu. Last month, the credited helmer of Justice League published on the social media platform, Vero, his most significant revelation yet, pertaining to the Knightmare timeline in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Last week, Snyder confirmed that the NetherRealm Studios video game, Injustice, indeed influenced the Knightmare sequence in his 2016 superhero blockbuster. Yesterday, the American-born filmmaker then took it one step further, disclosing that Barry Allen/Flash (Ezra Miller) managed to travel back in time via the cosmic treadmill. The device in question originates from the comic books and was invented by Barry, which he uses to speed through time. For example, to deliver the ominous warning to Batman (Ben Affleck) in Doj.

Zack Snyder’s already confirmed that the NetherRealm Studios video game, Injustice, did indeed influence the Knightmare sequence in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. And earlier today, the filmmaker hosted an online discussion with fans to clear up any confusion regarding the discarded narrative over on his favourite social media platform, Vero.
The sequence in question depicts Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) witnessing an apocalyptic future where the planet is under the control of Darkseid and his Parademons, due to an apparent partnership with Superman (Henry Cavill). Subsequently, Barry Allen/Flash (Ezra Miller) travels back in time, via the cosmic treadmill, to deliver an ominous warning to Batman. The message implores him to find Lois Lane (Amy Adams), unite the Justice League, and be wary of some tragedy that will befall the Man of Steel at some point in the future.

I don’t know what’s been up with Zack Snyder as of late, but the guy sure has been enjoying sharing all kinds of interesting trivia pertaining to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in recent memory. Sometimes, he may provide answers regarding things that have puzzled moviegoers for the past couple years, or he may declassify some cool pictures. Either way, he’s doing a fine job of keeping DC fans engaged.
When it comes to the topic of today’s discussion, it’s actually yet another picture, but it’s somewhat comical in nature. You see, it captures the Dark Knight during one of his more mundane moments. Or, in this case, it’s Ben Affleck’s stunt double Richard Cetrone trying to find a moment of rest in between takes.

Inevitably, it’s the most extreme end of fandom that catches the media’s eye. Whether it’s a Star Wars obsessive presenting a 46-minute, female-free edition of The Last Jedi or bizarre petitions to ban the 2016 Ghostbusters, fan frustration can sometimes take on strange-looking (and ugly) forms when it spills out online.

Is this the final nail in the coffin?
Six days ago, it was reported that Justice League stuntman Richard Cetrone allegedly outed the Internet’s worst-kept secret: the fabled Zack Snyder cut of Jl actually exists, and it’s housed up in the vaults of Warner Bros. Pictures. Turns out that’s not the case, after all, as Cetrone has now set the record straight via Batman-on-Film.
The seasoned stuntman, who has worked on everything from Man of Steel to the Underworld series, confirmed that last week’s quote was, in fact, fake. Truth be told, it gained a lot of traction online, leading some to wonder whether we’ll ever get a true, definitive answer regarding Snyder’s version. Enter Richard Cetrone.

Today, Fox announced that Sleepy Hollow had been renewed for a third season of 18 episodes. Clifton Campbell, who created The Glades, will take over as showrunner.
A supernatural police drama, Sleepy Hollow follows Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), a patriot who was killed 230 years ago. Sleepy Hollow, Season 1, Episode 7: “The Midnight Ride”
Written by Heather V. Regnier
Directed by Doug Aarnioski
Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on Fox
Sleepy Hollow‘s biggest strength as a show is taking risks, and it takes some pretty big ones in this episode which change the outlook of the show from here on out. “The Midnight Ride” has a fast moving plot that weaves in elements from both the past and present to create a compelling clash between Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and the Horseman of Death (Richard Cetrone). At times, the characters feel like ciphers in the workings of the story, but Heather Regnier injects plenty of humor into Ichabod’s dialogue and starts to make Sleepy Hollow policemen Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) and Luke Morales (Nicholas Gonzalez) more three dimensional presences on the show. This character growth and the chemistry between Ichabod and Abbie (Nicole Beharie...

After just three episodes, Fox has renewed Sleepy Hollow for a second season. The show gave Fox their highest-rated premiere since 24 and, despite steep competition, has held up well.
Starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, Sleepy Hollow revolves around a patriot from colonial times and a female sheriff who work together to stop evil forces, including the Headless Horseman. Others in the cast include Orlando Jones, Katia Winter, John Cho, and Richard Cetrone.
In a statement, Fox chairman of entertainment Kevin Reilly said, "Sleepy Hollow has proven to be a risk well worth taking -- it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast... Tonight Fox kicks off their new season with Sleepy Hollow, a police procedural series with a time-travel/supernatural twist. Will it be a big hit or quickly cancelled? Is it worth you time?
Based on characters from the Washington Irving story, Sleepy Hollow revolves around Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), a patriot from 1790. He dies while on a mission for General Washington but mysteriously ends up waking up in modern-day New York City.
Unfortunately, the Headless Horseman has ended up in the present as well and has started a killing spree. Ichabod and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), a newly-appointed African-American sheriff, form an uncomfortable alliance and work to stop the Horseman and other supernatural threats.

According to a new report from Comicbookmovie, it's being reported that General Zod and his female sidekick Faora are going to be joined by two other Kryptonian/Phantom Zone villains in the upcoming "Superman: Man Of Steel" flick. They are named Tor-An and Dev-Em. Tor-An will be played by actor Richard Cetrone, while actor Revard Dufresne will play Dev-Em. So, that definitely does sound quite interesting. In the comic books Tor-An was a member of the military guild who served under General Zod. Dev-Em was a criminal who became one of Zod’s followers. Man of Steel stars: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, and Russell Crowe. Some quick updates for Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" today, starting with the news that the Superman reboot has scored a PG-13 rating from the MPAA.
The rating was granted for "intense sequences of sci-fi violence, action and destruction, and for some language."
Next up comes some casting talk. Lego versions of characters from the film have emerged at the London Toy Fair, one of which is the previously unannounced Kryptonian sleeper agent villain Tor-An.
One report indicates that "Sucker Punch" actor Richard Cetrone is playing the role.
Meanwhile one bit of talk that has already generated much discussion in the last few days is that a gender swap. Seems that actress Rebecca Buller ("The Playboy Club") has the role of Jenny Olsen, and the character is essentially serving as a replacement for long-time Daily Planet errand boy Jimmy Olsen.

The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has just released the latest batch of movie ratings and Zack Snyder‘s Man Of Steel is getting a PG-13 rating. It’s not much of a surprise really, most mainstream superhero movies get the PG-13 rating, each of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman movies, The Avengers, all got a PG-13 for mild violence and adult content.
The MPAA posted their reasoning for the rating:
There had better be some Intense sci-fi violence in this movie, and some epic battle. Superman Returns suffered a lot because there wasn’t enough fighting (that and the actor was completely unsuitable) – there was action, but without some actual fighting where we can see all those super-buffed, overpowering feats of his Kryptonian genetics – well, even I must say that Superman would be A Bit boring.
The next Man of Steel news is another one of those infamous Lego Set spoilers.

Marvel story in the evening. DC story in the morning. Such is the life of a fanboy journo. Not that I am complaining.
So Man Of Steel officially got a rating.
Rated PG-13 For intense sequences of sci-fi violence, action and destruction, and for some language. Meh. No big deal. Like duh, what were you expecting? A hard R? So “rumor” has it that General Zod got two wingmen in the movie. The site ComicBook.com is reporting that Phantom Zone villains Tor-An and Dev-Em will make appearances. Who?! In the comic books Tor-An was a member of the military guild who had served under General Zod, and Dev-Em was a criminal who became one of Zod’s followers. Tor-An will be played by Richard Cetrone. Dev-Em will be played Revard Dufresne. Both Richard Cetrone and Revard Dufresne previously worked with Zack Snyder on Sucker Punch. What gives this rumor...

Yesterday, a Man of Steel lego set included a figure by the name of Tor-An. At that point the internet jumped to the conclusion that the character, which in the comics is a Kryptonian villain, would be in the film. Now, this wasn't a surprise to me as I already revealed months ago that Tor-An would be in the film. The character was listed on the leaked call sheet that I posted, which Warner Bros. later had us yank. So, the only mystery left is, who is playing Tor-An? I'll defer to Comicbook.com on this matter, as they have a scoop about the actor playing Tor-An, and reveal another Kryptonian villain and the actor playing that role too. "In fact, according to the source, Tor-An will be played by Richard Cetrone. In addition, to Tor-An, another Phantom Zone villain named Dev-Em will appear in the movie. Dev-Em will be...
