Metal Shop Masters (2021– )
2/10
Sexist & anti-creativity
1 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
In the first episode Contestants were to prepare metal from home to send to the show to create their Avatar within the timeframe. Two Contestants didn't understand the instructions correctly so they were penalized. REALLY? When it's two people- that's the show's fault. Meanwhile another contestant had a gd computer do all his cutting and got his avatar used as the photo for the show throughout the season.

Later, in a paired up competition, it was very clear to everyone in the room that the older guy did not understand what was being asked, which made it harder for his partner to work around him. Of course - SHE got kicked off.

Ultimately the winner was the person who could measure the best, not the most talented or most creative. The winner should have been Rea or Ivan. I have no desire to watch another season of this.

I LOVED this movie

First, PERFECT casting. I was fearing a Spade-esque cliche predictable flick. But Lauren Lapkus rules this story from her entrance into the restaurant. Spade has matured nicely as a performer, showing more range than we knew he had.

Lauren Lapkus is one of the funniest comedic actors of her generation. I'm ready to watch her take the lead more often.

Great supporting cast, great jokes & bits, very original and some sweet tender moments when you least expect it. The soundtrack has all the right feels. The Vanilla Ice bit was perfect!

I've never laughed so hard at 3 people brushing their teeth together.

More please

I'm from rural America. This is real! The lack of familiar names & faces adds to the authenticity of the characters and stories.

I've watched several episodes, and nothing in this show seems exaggerated or contrived.

These are very realistic characters, living very believable lives, and it's FUNNY! TV isn't making good sitcoms lately, but this is a shining exception.

Yesterday (III) (2019)

Massive disappointment

The trailer for this movie was very exciting to me. The concept of a world without The Beatles seemed fresh and interesting. Then - soon after this twist is introduced, this movie drops most prospects of following up with the disappearance of The Beatles and becomes a movie about- will the man & woman get together? It went from having a very unique idea to having the least unique idea a movie can have.

If they just wanted to make a Will They (a straight couple) Get Together film - WHY? We've seen that story - ad nauseum!!

I want the money back.
