Required Viewing, Particularly Now

I don't understand low ratings for this movie. Know that the studio didn't want it and didn't like it. I think most of the voice-over is studio-added because they didn't think the audience could understand the movie without help. Please watch it, even pay for it over free movies with your service. I'll be surprised if you don't thank me, surprised and disappointed.

Written with Sharp Humor by an Insider

This film has as much humor in one line as some in whole film. It's one of those that one wouldn't want to know people who don't like it. Think "Pink Panther" with a grudge and a bit of a hangover. The cop matter-of-fact radioing a wanted broadcast for a Clenet is typical. Loved it.

Terrible Characters
6 January 2020
Can't remember ever seeing a movie which went so far out of its way to introduce folks who were so stupid and unlikable from the beginning. Every decision made at the start of the movie by a character was so counter-intuitive that I almost stopped after five minutes. Didn't, but should have. Competent, but, why. Paid the bills, I guess, and that's enough?

Not "Citizen Kane", but...

You didn't expect 'high art'. If there are a few good scenes, there are, and a bunch of great lines I'm happy with a movie like this. 'They're not all out there' is just the type of unexpected but perfect line which make watching this rewarding, at least for me. Your mileage may vary.

Ripped from Today's Headlines

Chuck Connors, as an asst coach, has one of the best lines: "For once I'd like to make as much as the players." I really cannot recommend this movie highly enough. It almost feels like a '70's movie with its irreverence and humor coupled with a bit of disdain for all of the establishment figures personal and bureaucratic. The little girl is the perfect embodiment of a 'liberated' eleven year old who has it all figured-out. Looking behind the curtain at big-time college football is as current as anything done today. My father's school, Tufts, was the college football champion sometime around the turn of the previous century, and I asked him how they did it. He said: The same way everybody else did it, they went into the coal fields and hired players.

One scene
25 August 2017
Slogged through finding and reviewing this for one scene. Italian sex comedy says it all. Saw it on Cinemax, or equivalent, in the 80's and remember Jack Palance stroking the pubic hair of a naked young gal stretched across his lap. And Bond villains stroke cats!?! Bond gals at the height of their powers, what's not to like. The gal on Jack's lap deserves mention somewhere, and whoever conceived that setting.
