Danger USA (1989)

Dream Room
8 December 2022
First a message for warrior-21 25 June 2001 Not sure when the information was updated Jessica Morgan who portrayed Sonja is actually Maureen LaVette.

Mind Trap or Danger USA in my opinion is really excellent low budget film with terrific performances from all the actors.

The amazing opening sequence doesn't quite prepare the audience for the mind trip that is about to be experienced.

The ending has potential for continuing years later with new characters.

I wonder what people would think if the ending was added to with an extra scene similar to the finale of the opening sequence or perhaps the entire time the audience have been in the dream room.

I actually have this on VCD and what ckormos1 described about their file copy having numbers as if the projector ran out of film during the movie happens at the end of disc 1 of the 2 video cd set. Thank you.

Was Jessica really needed?
21 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Lloyd Marcus discovers his daughter Julia dead apparently killed by the local art thief but decides to rearrange the room to frame his son-in-law (Julia's husband) who arrives shocked at the scene and Lloyd says "You killed her, you killed my daughter" but Jessica feels something isn't right proves Donald was framed by Lloyd who confesses to destroying evidence that pointed towards the art thief including a pizza cutter. Now the search is on for the art thief who when found out scoffs at the idea of using a pizza cutter which leads Jessica back to the real killer. Apart from discovering who the art thief was Jessica wasn't really needed because Lloyd had unknowingly framed the real killer who originally framed the art thief.

On the 6th February 2002 Kathges wrote a review about seeing the first part of two part episode with the crew abandoning the station. Sadly there is no second part as this episode was the series finale with the crew leaving the station unfortunately two members were left behind with no chance of rescue.

I had to stay up late to watch it but it was worth it a brilliant show excellent cast superb fx terrific stories. Thanks.

Brilliant film excellent soundtrack my favourite song is Church Of The Poison Spider.

I wish there was a spin-off movie featuring Simon Sledge (Warwick Simms) as the main character that would be awesome.

Really good episode with the romance between Mickey (Keith Szarabajka) and Sydney (Laura Ashton who played Laurel Hayes in the short lived tv soap Berrenger's).

The fake equalizer dispensing is own kind of justice, Meat Loaf as Sugar Fly and unfortunately the only episode with Mark Linn-Baker as Ronny.

The Ewok Adventure (1984 TV Movie)

Ewoks films could be considered cannon
11 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One possible reason Wicket doesn't speak english when he meets Princess Leia is because he has forgotten how to. At the end of the second film The Battle For Endor, Cindel leaves with Noa so there is no need for Wicket to continue using a language no one else speaks.

In Return Of The Jedi the shield generator is on the forest moon of Endor, now does that mean the name of the the forest moon is Endor or is the forest moon orbiting the planet Endor?

If the forest moon is orbiting the planet Endor does that mean the title for the second Ewok movie is wrong or have the Ewoks travelled from the planet to the moon before the events of Return Of The Jedi?

Some fans seem to hate the fact that in the cartoon series the Ewoks speak english but considering there are no people from other planets in the cartoon series is it possible we are watching a dubbed or translated version of their adventures.

Not A Plot Hole
14 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In Goofs under spoilers plot holes someone wrote "When Data explains that the Paxans place wandering species into a day of biochemical stasis, La Forge comments, "that explains why our beards didn't grow." But the bridge crew did not remain in biochemical stasis; they were promptly revived by Data." Yes Data revived the crew but Picard asked the Paxans to erase everyone's short term memories and place them back under biochemical stasis. The Paxans said it would take a day to erase the crew's memories. In my opinion normally only a short time possibly 30 seconds passes for those who enter the Paxans territory but because Data was unaffected and revived the crew causing the problem of erasing everyone's memories taking a day to happen (the missing day).

The Pretender???
30 July 2020
Young man escapes from an organisation has special talents constantly travelling to avoid capture and in search of his mother. This pilot never went to series but several years later we have tv series The Pretender with a very similar concept. Peter Kowanko was terrific as Michael I had seen him previously in Solarbabies and Date With An Angel with some guest roles on various tv shows, it is a shame he retired from acting but as long as he is happy with his life no regrets.

The Animated Series Is Based On This Movie
23 July 2020
This movie is awesome. I've watched the prequel animated series based on this movie titled "Iria : Zeiram The Animation" that is brilliant but I prefer the live action film. The story, development of characters and special effects are perfectly executed with a terrific soundtrack to bring it all together. I really would like to see Iria battle The Guyver Dark Hero my other favourite live action anime character. Thank you.

Front Cover Image & Not Terminator Rip-off
10 May 2020
To me the image of Mark Hamill on the front cover seems to be from Guyver (aka Mutronics) which was released a year or two before this movie. I've read some of the other reviews saying this film is a Terminator rip-off, how can that be in Terminator the good guy and bad guy are chosen to back in time with the mission to protect/kill someone in their history, while in Time Runner Mark Hamill is escaping the space station that is being attacked when he travels through a wormhole that sends him back in time 30 years. He is the only person from his time that travels back, the villains of the movie discovering he is from the future decide to eliminate him before he becomes a threat. There is no villain from the future only the hero who eventually discovers unknown truths about his own time that he has to change now he is in the past.

IF I CAN LIVE IN THE PAST MAYBE I CAN CHANGE THE FUTURE

Not A Goof
4 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
In the Goofs under Continuity someone wrote "In other episodes, phaser fire bounces off a holodeck wall; however, when Paris and Torres enter the cold climate environment, he uses the phaser to crush some ice for blocking the Nyrians' path. That should not be possible." This is not a goof, Paris and Torres are not on Voyager but on the Nyrians' ship/station which has many biospheres for different species not a holodeck on Voyager.

Why Was This Cancelled
17 January 2020
I really enjoyed this show about two secret agents not married but had the cover names of Mr & Mrs Smith and are not aloud to disclose any information on who they really are to anyone including each other. Some people believe the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was inspired by this tv series but I don't see the connection except from the name. In the film the characters are married and they discover that each other works in the same business for competing organisations.

Duncan's Katana No Goof
15 June 2019
Another review titled Goof says that we learn the truth about how Duncan received his Katana in Season 3 Episode 1 which was made after this episode. Being early days for the show there probably wasn't an established timeline for Duncan's past and how he received the katana. The episode is alright could of been better but also could of been worse. A better episode in my opinion is Turnabout from season 2 guest starring Geraint Wyn Davies who later co-starred with Adrian Paul in the tv series Tracker.

Short lived cartoon
20 May 2019
The Legend Of Sarmoti was a very short cartoon series, it only lasted four episodes. I believe Siegfried & Roy Masters Of The Impossible is all of the episodes from The Legend Of Sarmoti joined together into one. The series was brilliant but short it would of been interesting to see more adventures of the animated versions of Siegfried & Roy.

Someone Is Watching
7 January 2019
I found this film entertaining. The book in bathtub scene, we see her drinking from her cup and then start to read the book she found before slipping into a crazy dream and waking up in bed the next morning. The way we see the cup as she placed it down you might think something could be wrong with the contents of the cup and when she visited the guy in jail he says the night his wife was murdered he passed out but didn't have that much to drink, maybe both of them were drugged by the villain of the movie. Always good to see Margot Kidder even in a supporting role.

My Pet Monster
31 December 2018
I have seen both the Live Action Movie (pilot for tv???) and the Animated Series (made after the movie) really enjoyable 1980s fun. Max's sister in the movie & series is played by Alyson Court and Colin Fox plays Dr Snyder in the movie & Mr Hinkle in the series. In the movie Max has an older brother whose girlfriend has a poodle, in the series Mr Hinkle has a poodle. I would like to suggest that Chuckie (Max's friend in the series) could be a replacement for Rod (Max's older brother in the movie). The animated series is a better way of selling the toy as it includes the orange cuffs and separates Max & the monster instead of Max turning into the monster when he is hungry.

Dying To Live
11 March 2018
I brought a box of VHS tapes from a garage sale and Dying To Live was one of them. Jonathan Frakes plays Will (last name not Riker) a supernatural entity that helps recently deceased Rachel (Haley DuMond) get justice before moving on. Many TV movies have similar plots to others and become predictable but this one gives me hope that original ideas still exist in the world. I've read the other reviews and one of them mentions most of the characters except for Vanessa (Shannon Elizabeth) giving her issues to Leslie (Linda Cardellini).

I thought that this episode was enjoyable as a backdoor pilot. The way the monsters looked and moved reminded me of the "Augers" from the FMV game Night Trap. Lizard Tastes Like Lizard.

Why Spock Is Not Himself?
11 February 2018
Hi, My Theory to why Spock isn't himself is because both of his closest shipmates Captain Kirk & Doctor McCoy are stranded on an unknown planet light years away, another factor might be when the Enterprise recovered from being thrown away from the planet Uhura asks Spock what happened his response simply was he hit his head on the arm of the captain's chair, no permament damage. I did notice similarities to Wrath Of Khan & Search For Spock, first a conversation between Spock and Scotty about saving the ship, the second concerns Losira's planet. Live Long And Prosper.

I'm Wondering
29 December 2017
Hi, I've never seen the whole lot of Encounter With The Unknown but from the reviews people have given and the mention of two narrators. I'm wondering if Encounter With The Unknown was originally planned as a half-hour anthology tv show with a different story each episode that was rejected and turned into this movie of three stories. Thank you and have an excellent day.
