Plot holes: The way the Ocampa are shown to have offspring is an impossible situation. When Kes's body gets ready to have a child it is said the event only happens once in a female Ocampas life; the characters also spoke about preparing for "a child" not "some children". Kes has never mentioned having siblings and in flashbacks where she is a child she is not shown to have any. In the episode "Before and After" a possible future shows Kes and Tom Paris have a single daughter, Linnus who in turn has a single child, Andrew with Harry Kim. A species where the female can only have offspring at one event in her life and probably only a single birth would half in population every generation, if every single member had offspring. It would be impossible for a population of Ocampa to sustain itself, or even exist in the first place.
