The only thing left to do is switch sides: Let's judge the judges
30 December 2023
I continue to watch PR because it amazes me what some designers can come up with. I only watch the part where they present their outfits as the rest is simply crap and no one deserves to watch backstabbing, lying, and cheating, which happens in all reality shows. What makes this episode so. Terrible for me is the fact that the sisters can't stand on their own and have yet to be called on the fact that one does the job of the two. The previous episode childish and dumb looking Posen said she didn't like what was going on but the incompetent designers are still there. Then there is the fact that the judges are getting less professional. Nina Garcia made a comment on an outfit saying it looked like a nun, a South American nun. First of all, why can't she say her opinion and leave the offenses for her mirror. Considering how she things she is all-knowing and yet sometimes dresses up horribly, she needs to admit that all the opinions are based on taste. Yes, the ability to see if something was well done, she has but that is all. She is, like everyone else, not perfect. It would be great to see her, Posen, and Heidi designing in a competition. Maybe then they would come out of their high horses! By the way, South America is mainly Spanish speaking and someone whose last name is Garcia needs to just bite her tongue!

I tolerated it for a couple of seasons because I love fashion but enough is enough
18 July 2023
I do not watch reality TV as people can be vicious and annoying but since this show was about designers trying to make great clothes, I did try it. I guess that it is like any other reality show in the sense that people are picked not exactly for being good designers but for being self-centered and conniving. From day one, the show has had a lot of such huge personalities, which maintain people interested. I watched all episodes fast-forwarding through that crap and just looking at the outfits. But after a few seasons, hearing Heidi Klum repeat a dozen times "in fashion one day you're in, the next you are out" was maddening and I stopped. The repetition, the same judges, the numerous twists every season got to be too much. I would have stayed watching if it felt more realistic. Come on, a couple of hours to make an outfit and then they appear to have taken at a minimum, three-times longer is an insult to anyone's intelligence.

One of the worst
12 July 2023
Hallmark movies repeats actors and plots a lot and sometimes that is OK. Most of the time, they are predictable but not horribly so. This movie is one of the worst I've seen as the characters are either pathetic or simply angry/stubborn/rude people. There is absolutely nothing that would make me watch a movie with the main actress again. With so many great actors everywhere, why use this one? Hallmark is an American company, why don't they use American actors? Are Canadian actors that much cheaper? Is this all about money? Get better writers and actors, PLEASE!!! And since the movie was filmed in Canada, admit so, don't pretend to be in the US. All Hallmark movies pretending to depict US, especially California are simply ridiculously annoying. Canada has its beauty but it will never be California.

Too long and not consistent
4 April 2023
The series is based on real crimes but forgot it. The two men were shown as victims only, which was not the case at all. Yes, they did not have great parents but there were many other options than shooting their parents then going on a shopping spree. I did not research if that detail was true or not. I am interested in reviewing the series and found it to be too long and repeating a lot of the same things for no reason. I did not think some actors did a good job. Lyle's character is between two extremes:a psychopath that only cares about himself or a superprotective brother who tried to save his brother. The lawyer too was a bit on the extreme. I stopped watching the series many times to have a break from her.

Lovely story but with terrible lines
2 March 2023
For a time travel story placed in 1896, some characters speak as if they live in 2000. Charles says the little girl is bossy and she replied she is not, she is confident. That dialogue wouldn't have happened in 1896. The clothes and props are correct, just the dialogues are not. The couple are great, both actors know their craft. The actor who plays the antique shop owner is also excellent. It is just a shame so many times movies about the past are flawed because the writers cannot shred today's language and make it believable. Midlife crisis are a great topic and this one happens to combine it with time travel, which is cool.

One big issue: the romantic partner
6 January 2023
This's a cute story and all but everytime I watch a movie with Kimberley Sustad, I know I will not enjoy it because I'll be distracted by her gloomy face. I have yet to see one scene where her face shows joy. She is always frowning, surprised, or,serious. To me, her face is insatiable. If you want a better rating, next time, choose an actress that can express joy..The other actors expressed their feeling correctly. The actress who plays Kimberly Sustad's mom is the opposite. Her botoxed face is all smiling, all the time. ?The couple who play the couple who used to me married play their parts perfectly.

The.

This is the worst Project Runaway season because of the participants
11 June 2022
I have never seen worse throat cutting designers in this series. Even the people on the show made many comments about it. I stopped watching the series because it was not about the ability of the designers but who the people behind the scenes wanted to keep to attract more blood-thirty viewers. Since I am not one of those, auf wiedersehen.

Silly and Dumb
19 May 2022
I couldn't even finish watching it. A bunch of pathetic characters and a plot that does not amount to much. No great actors, scenery, photography, music... A 4 is really generous!

The people involved in making this movie counted on your ignorance
8 May 2022
Putting Chinese characters playing geishas is shameful. Would an Italian hundred-year old tradition represented by a Finnish actor be acceptable? I imagine not. Some people can pass as being from many countries but the American movie industry seems to do so more blatantly when the plot is set in Asia. It really is a shame. I would have expected movies from.the 60s to be this bad, but a movie make in 2005 is really pathetic.

Fake everything
26 January 2022
I watched the original series and although I thought it was too long - the best thing about British series is exactly how short they are - I liked it. This one is worse than the original, mostly because everything is fake. How many times will they film Canada and say it is California??? Are you kidding me? Why would David Tennant repeat a role and be much worse at it the second time? After five minutes, I was done.

Perfect Performances by Seasoned and Brand New Actors
26 December 2021
The story is excellent but the best part of this movie is the performances and the direction. Nothing is wasted in a movie where each character expresses feelings without effort. I liked the paralleled stories as much as the main one.

Amazing Story About Belonging and Reviewing your Beliefs
10 July 2021
Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell are spectacular! The story, which I had not heard before, is phenomenal and it is told subtlety and carefully. The things these people did and how is a lesson to remember. It is never easy to fight for what we believe in and it is even more uncomfortable to change our minds about something. C. P. And Ann know that, yet, they continued to fight and help each other. Way to go!

If You PLACE the story in NEW YORK do NOT FILM it in CANADA
3 July 2021
Movies are not real life so many things are forgivable but showing Canada and saying it is New York is pathetic. The story is repetitive and the cast uninspired.

The Idea and Cinematography are Excellent, the Main Character is Awful
19 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
With such a phenomenal often-forgotten collateral damage of WW2, this movie could have been grand. Some people think it is, but I disagree. The main-character is sleep-walking through life thus bring the conflict and the pain she should be feeling almost disappear. Had the character been better developed, it would make sense. I mean, she was sleepwalking through her life before she found out she is Jewish, that her parents were killed by the son of a Polish man who hid them, stole their property, and killed her only cousin, which she found out because she asked the man why she had not been killed. Yet, in the whole movie, that was the only time she participated, the rest of the time she was silent and absent. Even after deciding not to become a nun, all she did was to smoke, drink, have sex, then go back to the convent. The inconsistency of her character was odd and it diminished the amazing story that should have been the movie's focal point.

Phenomenally Stark Movie about People Trying to Figure Out Who They Are and Love
18 June 2021
The two main actors play their characters magnificently! The cinematography and photography are excellent too. In a place where a bunch of discontent people are trying to survive, two teens try to figure out who they are, who they love, and if they can be accepted as they are.

A Gentle Reminder that We Should Respect All Forms of Life
16 June 2021
A great movie about a a strong yet gentle character who cannot accept people being cruel to animals or each other. She helps kids and mistreated women apart from her passion: wild life. She gets to know people in depth because she is open to them- never mind how she does it, the key words here are she does! The photography is exceptional too. Great acting! A refreshing movie for those of us who have been watching too many made-up/always-looking-perfect actors in Hollywood movies.

A Phenomenal Movie about Acceptance and Discovery
14 June 2021
The cast is absolutely perfect and the story is not simplistic. Instead, it leaves many loose ends, which I appreciate. The actress who plays the main character is simply studendous. There is no way to avoid smiling as the story takes you to a place of acceptance of who you are (and who everyone around is) and what you want. From there, obviously, there is a whole lot of light because when you accept yourself completely, you just glow!

Phenomenallay Powerful in its Tenderness and Delicate in its Strength
14 June 2021
I was in awe of how gentle the movie was, how intricate. The dance is both an art and an expression of who the main character is, and it is stronger than the prejudice of those who put love in a tiny box. I did not know being who people are was such an obstacle in Georgia and felt absolutely awful about it. Everyone involved in making this movie deserves an standing ovation!

Great Unfilled Potential
11 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Human trafficking deserves a lot of attention and this movie promised that but did not deliver. First, there is Ntombi's escape from the brothel. How? Why? Then there is the unexplained story of Jodie, who seems absolutely determined to help girls but messed up every single time. How can I cop be that bad and in the end, escape punishment? Plus Ntombi left her all her info on the syndicate. Should we assume she already knew she was going to get killed or maybe commit suicide??? These things irritated me tremendously almost as much as Jodie stupidly walking along the place and not killing the minister. Are you kidding me?!? How does that make any sense?

Can the UK ever make a crime series with at least one pleasant character?

The British crime series are great. I do enjoy the open and many-faceted characters but could they be at least a little bit pleasant, please?!?

Crime Solving in the Digital Era
4 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love crime shows and try them all. I was hocked instantly by this one because the sleuths feel amazingly real. Just a bunch of different people, each with its own problems, its own strengths and downfalls. Piast is an awesome character. Ola and Michal are great characters too. I did not like that both Michal and Jakub were involved with Ola though. It felt repetitive and predictable. I would have preferred that this show was different in that aspect too. The fact that the police take forever to do anything was awesome and I imagine it is the case in most if not all countries. I do have to say the first season, as it is the case in 99% of series, is much better than the second, but the show is great!

Great show with Unlikable Characters who dislike Each Other
27 May 2021
The plots are great! The location is gorgeous and the cinematography excellent. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rate is because, which seems to be the UK shows of the moment, all the characters hide things, are not likable nor loyal to each other. Not once, in all episodes, you see the police officers interact in a friendly way. The are ready to ignore, lie to, and betray each other. Mared is the least annoying but that is not a compliment. Maybe it is a cultural thing ,but could we get at least one British show with likable characters?!?

A Great Episode to end the time the show had Perfect Cast and characters
17 May 2021
I like Law & Order UK a lot but only until this episode, as the change in actors and characters was terrible. This episode is especially great. The hard work of a police officer who is willing to review his case and correct past mistakes is superb.

I love crime shows and liked this one because it is not formulaic and absolutely all characters lie. Not one character is even remotely likable either, which is at the same infuriating and brilliant.

Amazingly well written and done. The series is normally well played but this is my favorite episode by far. Each actor did his/her best to express emotions. Amazing work!
