Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Wonderful movie
This is a wonderful movie. Definitely the best of the Indiana Jones movies. It's got tons of great action in it. Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade are good but not close to this one. This one has action that keeps going and going in a large variety of situations. The bugs scene is creepy in the extreme. I'm metaphorically passing out with that woman at the monkey brain and after all that other gross stuff. Don't know why this was rated lower than those other two I mentioned. It's far better. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, by the way, is garbage. A skippable movie. I haven't seen the other one.
Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001)
Terrible movie
This movie is terrible. It's not a serious movie. They made a literal joke out of the series with this. It's a crap fest. It's not among the worst movies I've seen, because it has some comedic value, but it is a terrible movie. Tremors 1 and 2 are great. But it's straight off a cliff with this one. The movie is bad on purpose. Some of the comedy is a guy calling the graboids, tremors. A self-aware joke. Also, two characters make a comment that it's been 11 years. Also, Burt 's life is saved from a graboid being cut open and him coming out. Also, the rating shows that IMDB ratings are nonsense. This terrible movie has a higher rating than some wonderful movies.
Smile (2022)
Terrible movie
Wow. I was expecting something good because of a lot of good reviews for this, but no. There's nothing good in this movie. This movie is impressively and violently and intensely and staggeringly and laughably and monstrously bad. This movie is a total mess. I have no idea what the movie makers were thinking. What they were trying to do. Watching it is an hour and 55 minutes of your life that is wasted. Trying to cut into a diamond with a crayon is less of a waste of time than watching this movie. Lol All copies of this movie should be put in a pile and burned. Then the fire can be used to roast marshmallows or hot dogs or whatever. Then the copies will have good use.
The Quick and the Dead (1995)
Wonderful movie
The Quick And The Dead is a wonderful movie. A quintessential western. Great drama. Great action. Sharon Stone plays a woman that goes to a town seeking revenge on a guy who did something terrible when she was a child. The guy is played by Gene Hackman. Russel Crowe plays a man who was with the guy but changed his life over guilt at what he did. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the guy's cocky gun fighting son. The movie is packed with action. Very entertaining movie. Very good movie. Great conclusion. What more can I say to take up the rest that I need? It's the best western I've ever seen, unless Django Unchained is a western. A wonderful movie.
The Revenant (2015)
Terrible movie
Wow. Just wow. Lol This movie totally and utterly SUCKS. There's nothing in it that's remotely interesting. It doesn't tell you when or where it is which leaves you in the dark. But the movie is just simply bad apart from that too. I've never seen a movie that was worse than this. Seriously. And I've seen a lot of stinkers. This movie won Oscars. Surely this is one of the worst movies or the single worst movie to ever win Oscars. It's just not interesting. This movie is really something to behold. You are warned. I don't know what the movie makers were thinking with this. Boy did they ever screw up. It was very surprising to me watching this mess since it got such good reviews.
Hostel: Part II (2007)
Extreme horror
In Hostel pat 2, college students on a vacation in Europe are lured to a place in Slovakia where they're kidnapped and taken to a place where they're held captive and tortured and killed by rich insane people who pay large amounts of money to do it. This is the same plot as in the first Hostel, but this time it's women. The movie goes further than the first movie. It's an insane very disturbing movie. It doesn't make any sense, but that's part of the beauty of it. The first movie is okay, but this one is really good. It's only for people who like extreme horror. I gave it 9 out of 10 stars instead of 10 simply because the ending is not fantastic. It's okay. It just could have been a lot better.
Training Day (2001)
Very disturbing movie
In Training Day, a rookie Los Angeles police officer, Jake, does training to be an undercover narcotics officer. His training officer, Alonzo, acts very weird and engages in increasingly severe misconduct during the training. It turns out that Alonzo and his other people are extremely corrupt and psychotic. After Alonzo kills his supposed friend, Jake's behavior makes Alonzo know he will rat them out if he doesn't get rid of him. He takes Jake to a gang member's house under the deception that he's just there to help the family and leaves Jake at the house to be killed by the gangster, but, having discovered that Jake saved his cousin from being raped, the gangster let's him go. Jake then goes after Alonzo. Alonzo gets away but is killed by Russians he got in trouble with. The movie is very good but also extremely disturbing. I don't think I've ever seen a more disturbing movie. The scene at the gangster's house where Jake was left to be killed, is what's the most disturbing. Jake is messed with by three gangsters. After they make sexual references, Jake tries to run away but is stopped and dragged to a bathtub and almost shot to death. One of the gangsters discovers a picture of the lead gangster's cousin in Jake's wallet. The lead gangster asks him where he got it. Jake tells the lead gangster what happened and the gangster calls his cousin and threatens to blow Jake's balls off if he's lying. The scene is a wildly unlikely scenario, but that probably doesn't occur to the viewer when first watching it. The scene is utterly savage and horrifically disturbing. Think of any horror movie. Forget it. That's quite mild compared to that scene. So, that's to warn you if you watch the movie.
Squirm (1976)
Wonderful movie.
Squirm is a wonderful movie. Lightning strikes a powerline in the deep south of the U. S. and the line touches the ground. Electricity goes into the ground and makes bloodworms go insane and become man-eating killers. The movie has creepy and gruesome scenes. It's a ridiculous movie. Worms flood out of a room when the door is opened. Worms burrow into a man's face. It is a comedy movie as well as a horror movie. Worms also dig under a tree that has a bird's nest in it and cause the tree to fall, as if the worms were trying to take down the tree because birds prey on them. Again, the movie is great. It's great both as horror and as comedy.
Groundhog Day (1993)
Wonderful movie
Groundhog Day is a wonderful movie. It's about an ill-natured guy named Phil who experiences the same day, Groundhog Day, over and over. Every time it becomes 6 A. M. on February 3rd, all of reality is reset back to 6 A. M. on February 2nd, except the memories of Phil. So everyone but Phil goes on like normal on February 2nd, but Phil realizes the day is repeating. This causes hilarious things as Phil is going crazy by the day repeating and others think he's insane when he tells them the day is repeating. He comes to treat people better, and after this, reality continues like normal after 6 A. M. February 3rd.
Scream (2022)
Terrible movie
This movie is absolutely atrocious. This movie is painfully bad. I don't know if I've ever seen a worse movie, and I've seen a lot. This movie is comically bad. The people involved with this have got to be embarrassed. Watching dogs take craps is a better experience than watching this movie. It makes me wonder if they were trying to make a good movie with this. Nothing in the movie is good. Sometimes movies are bad but they have something that's a little good in them. Not in this movie. It's a total and utter mess of a movie. And it says For Wes. Wes would surely roll in his grave and say, what!? If you're going to do something for me, don't do a complete and utter pile of steaming feces! I don't want that!
Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)
Wonderful movie
Hellraiser: Hellseeker is a wonderful movie. It's about a couple that are in a car wreck. The woman of the couple is Kirsty of earlier Hellraiser movies. The man is Trevor. The car goes into water and the man gets out and ends up in the hospital and what happened to Kirsty is mysterious. Her body isn't found. The man experiences very strange things. He sees weird things and has horrific hallucinations. The strange things become increasingly intense. It comes to seem that the supernatural is certain when a head comes out of the back of another man's head. Trevor finds he is in a morgue and finds his body. It is revealed that Trevor was dead and in hell and Kirsty escaped the car wreck. Trevor died in the car wreck. Before the wreck, Kirsty made a deal to give the cenobites 5 souls instead of her after opening the box. Trevor was one of them. Trevor's memory of what happened leading up to the car wreck was changed. It's revealed what really happened that led to it. A lamprey in his corpse's mouth and a woman talking to his corpse and some men were explanations for some of the things that his soul experienced in hell.
Independence Day (1996)
Wonderful movie
Independence Day is a wonderful movie that started a trend of huge CGI special effects movies. CGI had been used since the late 80s. The Abyss was the first movie to use more advanced CGI. Other movies with that from before Independence Day include Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, and Jumanji. Independence Day was the biggest special effects movie ever made when it was released. In the movie, a gigantic alien spaceship comes to Earth. Smaller space ships the size of cities come into Earth's atmosphere and hover over cities. They shoot things, maybe antimatter, out of them onto buildings which blows the buildings up and the explosions continue, destroying the entire urban areas. The U. S. military fights the aliens but the alien's technology proves to be too much. A scientist is held hostage by an alien and during this, the U. S. president somehow finds out that the aliens travel from planet to planet. They attempt to wipe out possible resistance first, then they take natural resources from the planet and that's what they were doing on Earth. A scientist discovers that he can infect the alien's computer with a virus which allows them to fly an alien's spaceship into the mothership and plant a bomb and blow it up. The shields of the spaceships are disabled, allowing the U. S. Airforce to destroy and damage the alien spaceships. A guy flies his fighter plane up a spaceship as it's preparing to use it's mass destruction weapon and this blows up the spaceship so the humans win.
Ghost Dad (1990)
Wonderful movie
Ghost Dad is a wonderful movie. It's a great comedic use of the ghost idea. Bill Cosby plays a man with a family who is killed because of riding in a taxi with an insane driver. He becomes a ghost and returns to his family and tells them he's a ghost. He tries to live a normal life as a ghost and learns his body is in a hospital and he goes to get back into it. I'd say the movie is one of the best comedies I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of comedies. Bill Cosby is hilarious in it. One of the best parts is when Elliot is in a hospital and is a ghost and keeps freaking out this guy. That guy is hilarious in the movie.
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
Wonderful movie
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a wonderful movie. It's just as good as the first if not better. Somehow the son of the killer in the first movie becomes a pretend friend of Julie and tricks her and her friends into going to the Bahamas. There, the killer kills people and attempts to kill Julie. The pretend friend of Julie reveals himself. The killer tries to kill Julie but Ray gets there and with his help, the good guys win. The killer accidentally kills his son and Julie shoots him and seems to kill him, but he turns out to be alive and somehow gets under her bed and grabs her. Another fantastic movie that was part of the late 90s horror trend.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Over rated movie
The only reason I'm reviewing this movie is because it's rated WAY more highly than it deserves. The movie is pretty crappy. It has a high rating for IMDB and there are great movies that have lower ratings on IMDB. The movie is a crime thriller and has great actors in it. And they are in far better movies than this. I don't know why this movie has been so successful with critics. The movie is a piece of the s word. It's up there with movies such as the Star Wars movies, The Godfather movies, and The Silence Of The Lambs as being some of the most over rated movies ever. The only Quentin Tarantino movie I loved was Django Unchained. That movie is amazingly good. The others from him I've seen range from awful to so so. Death Proof, by the way, makes Pulp Fiction look like a masterpiece.
Child's Play (2019)
Terrible movie
This movie is absolutely awful. Having a cavity filled is a better experience than this movie. Watching grass grow is better. Changing a baby's diaper is better. Cleaning a cat's litter box is better. Drinking gasoline would probably be a better experience than watching this movie. Watching paint dry would be more enjoyable. Perhaps now you get the picture. This movie is such a complete and utter mess I think they couldn't have been trying to make a good movie with this. It doesn't seem possible that a movie this bad can be accidental. This has got to be very embarrassing for the people involved.
The Faculty (1998)
Wonderful movie
The Faculty is a wonderful movie. It was written by Kevin Williamson and he also wrote Scream, Scream 2, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, so he was a big part of the late 90s teen horror trend. In the movie, an alien comes to Earth and spreads with parasites implanted into people at a high school. The people that are infected become alien/human hybrids and savage killers. Students discover what is happening and defeat the alien. The movie has great scares. The opening is one of the best parts of the movie. The football coach stabs a pencil through the palm of the principal's hand. She escapes him only to be stabbed to death by a teacher that seems to be normal at first. The lead alien disguises itself as a new high school student. The movie doesn't make any sense, but it's still very good.
Scream 2 (1997)
Wonderful movie
Scream 2 is a wonderful movie. It's far better and scarier than the first. When I first saw the first, I wasn't very scared. When I first saw this, I was shocked. Especially from the first kill scene. The deaths of the first two people, Randy, and the police, are the kills that stand out for me. The opening movie theater part of this movie is one of the best openings of a movie I've ever seen. It's wonderfully suspenseful and terrifying. This movie is light-years better and scarier than the first. It's a wonderful movie. A definite 10 out of 10 stars. This is among the best movies ever made. So good.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
Wonderful movie
I Know What You Did Last Summer is a fantastic movie that was part of a trend of teen horror movies that started with ''Scream''. I Know What You Did Last Summer was written by the same person who wrote Scream. I Know What You Did Last Summer is a far better and scarier movie than Scream. The plot is graduating high school students accidently hit a guy while driving and dump his body to protect themselves. A year later he goes for revenge. He messes with them for a while, then goes after them to kill them. Everything that could be good with this movie, is. The ending is great. Great horror. Etc.
Pet Sematary II (1992)
Wonderful movie
Pet Sematary 2 is a wonderful movie. It's better than the first, which is also good.
I Spit on Your Grave 2 (2013)
Not for sensitive people.
First, this movie is not for sensitive people. I wanted to give that warning first. It's only for people who like very extreme horror, because it is very extreme. And it is a fantastic movie. It's named as a sequel to the 2010 remake of I spit on your grave, but it's not a sequel to that, because it has no connection to that. A woman named Katie lives in New York City and wants to be a model. She goes to a modelling agency and when she's trying out, one of the modelling workers asks her to take off her clothes. She doesn't want to and respectfully refuses and leaves. She goes to her apartment and one of the modelling workers goes there and rapes her and he also kills a guy there that tries to help her. The other modelling workers go to the apartment and see what happened and kidnap Katie to protect the guy who raped her. They take her to Bulgaria. She is held captive in a basement of a house and is raped again and peed on. She escapes and comes across a police officer and he takes her to a police station where she meets a woman who says she'll help her and take her to her home and then to the U. S. embassy or something. I can't remember exactly what happened. Her home turns out to be the house Katie was a captive in. The woman turns out to be associated with her kidnappers and she becomes a captive in the basement again. Another man comes and has a taser and shocks Katie a number of times. He then rapes her. Then he leaves. Katie is left bloody. One of the modelling guys squeezes her nipple hard and beats her face bloody after she lightly slaps him. Katie is then buried alive in a crate in an attempt to kill her, but the crate smashes into a sewer and Katie gets out, unknown to anyone else. She finds the U. S. embassy but decides not to go. She steals food from a church. She looks for the kidnappers and other two criminals and messes with one of them by putting her necklace in his coffee or something. She finds another kidnapper at a night club and I think she puts something in his drink. He goes in the bathroom and throws up. She kicks him in the head and then shoves his face in a toilet full of pee. She then shoves his face in a toilet full of poop and drowns him in that. She knocks out another kidnapper and ties him up and cuts him up. She then rubs something on his cuts and she pokes him with something. She finds the guy who shocked and raped her at a church. He sees her and follows her and she knocks him out. She ties him up. She shocks him with his taser then horrifically electrocutes him to death with an electric cable in his mouth. She knocks out the villain woman and locks her in something and makes her watch the guy she cut up die. That guy is the villain woman's son. She finds the other kidnapper and knocks him out and ties him up and twists one of his nipples off and crushes his balls. He passes out and a cop shows up. The villain comes conscious and strangles Katie and the cop yells at him to stop and he doesn't, so the cop shoots him in the head dead. The cop then apologizes to Katie. He then opens the thing the villain woman is locked in and she is devastated. Katie goes to the U. S. embassy satisfied. And the movie ends. This movie is very good. 10 out of 10 stars. It's perfect.
The Meg (2018)
Watching paint dry or grass grow is better
This movie is absolutely atrocious. This might be the worst movie I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of truly awful ones. There is nothing in this movie that comes anywhere close to remotely good. The makers of this should be ashamed for doing this to the audience. They should be brought up on criminal charges or at least be fired and never allowed to work in the entertainment industry again. All copies of this movie should be destroyed.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
Wonderful movie
This is a wonderful movie. It takes place in the real world, rather than the universe of the first six Freddy movies. Heather Langenkamp, Wes Craven, Robert England, and others play themselves. The concept of the movie is that an evil supernatural being was actually responsible for Wes Craven coming up with the Freddy Krueger character. After Freddy was killed for good in part six, that supernatural being began terrorizing Heather in her dreams and her husband and son. Heather ends up having to go into dreamland to save her son and kill the monster. This is a scary great movie.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
Wonderful movie
This is a wonderful movie. It's scary. Freddy is killed supposedly for good in it by being taken out of a dream and blown up. It is also revealed that he got his powers from dream demons.
The Making of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
Wonderful movie
This is a wonderful movie. Freddy is killed supposedly for good in it by being taken out of a dream and blown up. It is also revealed in it that Freddy obtained his powers from dream demons.
