Sleepy Hollow (2013–2017)
Doing a Head count .....
17 September 2013
Its witty , funny, fast paced and the action scenes are quite impressive and it does share the same pace and chemistry as the Tim Burton movie. It seems to be going the way of the X files complete with their own version of Deputy director Skinner ( Orlando Jones) and a plot leaning toward a conspiracy that not only threatens the town of Sleepy Hollow but the entire world. The problem with this series may lie with the limitations it seems to be setting on itself by drawing a lot of reference to the Bible. Is there going to be a connection to the Illuminati? There is a lot material that could be explored and the two main characters in Officer Abbie and Ichabad Crane seem to have a lot of questions surrounding them which is a good thing because it gives us the rest of the season to explore. Now with the way the horseman's appetite for heads is going it is safe to say that everyone except the two main characters are going to be expendable (yet another parallel to X files). I for one would like to see how far this series can go.

Under the Dome (2013–2015)
4/10
Lost all over again
17 September 2013
Season one is over but there seems to be more questions than answers. I stand corrected …there are more questions and no answers. However since I did not yell spoiler alert at the beginning of this review I will not address the outcome of the season one finale. However what I will address is the character development which was so promising at the beginning of the series but has seemed to be caught in a loop with no insight revealed as to what makes the characters so unique. Dean Norris character seems to take center stage when virtually nothing has been done about the four mysterious teenagers whose diverse background and history would be a better story development. And there is the somewhat conflicting mythology surrounding the teenagers and their connection to the dome. Maybe this will be addressed in season two, I hope so because at this rate there seems to be a déjà vu feeling for those of us who were fervent fans of the Lost series.

Orphan Black (2013–2017)
8/10
Endless potential.....
18 April 2013
This is not your regular Scfi show where we know all the protagonists and villains in the first episodes( and thats when it starts to fizzle out)With Orphan Black the potential for additional mind-blowing characters is endless ! Its like Scfi soap opera, you never know who is going to walk through the door. Kudos to Tatiana for her ability to keep in character almost all the time. I actually think she has the record over Eddie Murphy in terms of most diverse characters and yes it does look very down to earth in the characterization i.e soccer moms and students but I think thats makes Orphan Black urban , hip and unique. Love to see where it goes from here.

Defiance (2013–2015)
Intriguing but unoriginal
16 April 2013
There is really no much to take away from the pilot episode that could give away the direction of the show but based on my experience with past shows like Earth final conflict and Jericho I don't think Defiance will go very far in terms of plot quality. Maybe I am not a big fan of the conspiracy in government , bounty hunter versus new sheriff in town theme but hasen't that been done. It will be interesting to see what the character development turns out and how the online video game captures the gamers audience but this looks like a cross between TerraNova and Babylon 5 and its hard to see how much further the plot development can go beyond the neo-political theme.
