Tomorrowland (2015)

Tomorrowland awaits
14 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Tomorrowland is an excellent movie! I love how the movie was not based on any one existing Disney property, but an entire part of their parks. Tomorrowland was fascinating, it was enjoyable, it was all around a great film! Ehy do people not like this film?

Casey is a great lead character who reminds me of myself when I was younger, and Frank Walker is one of those characters who comes off as rude and a jerk beforehand, but slowly cHnges throughout the course of the film.

I didnt think this film dragged on too long, and I dont think it was preachy in the slightest, and i thought the idea of tomorrowland having four famous inventors find it and build it in another dimension was interesting.

Hugh Laurie was amazing as the villain of the movie and I live the homage of his most famous character, Gregory House, when I piece of Tomorrowland crushed his leg in the climax.

Tomorrowland should get more praise than what it does. It is one of the most underrated gems I've seen in a while

Genetics has a dark side
12 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
How do I even begin with this movie? This movie when I first saw it when I was a kid, skyrocketed my interest in dinosaurs, and I STILL have an interest in them. Now, here are my thoughts on this spectacular achievement.

1) The animatronics-Wow! The animatronics were mind blowing for their time! I actually thought a T-Rex was chasing doctor Alan Grant throughout the park. The dinosaurs seemed so real!

2) The themes-The main theme of this movie is of how genetic engineering can spread uncontrollably if not monitored with care. The dinosaurs were loose when the park went out of power due to Denis Nedry in a sub-plot. The theme of power over something people can't have power over. These two themes are what really drive the story.

3) The characters-I only want to talk about three characters; Mr. Arnold is played by Samuel "Jules Winfield" Jackson. Dr Grant is played by Sam Neill, and John Hammond is played the late Richard Attenborough.

All in All, this movie will forever be a classic movie I will watch over and over again. I highly recommend this movie.

You're terminated
12 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
What was this? What was this movie? This movie was a big steaming pile of horse garbage. I was so confused by this movie. I have a lot to say

1) The plot-HOLY CRAP!!! The plot of this movie makes NO sense! IT starts promisingly enough with Kyle Reese being sent back in time to 1984, and we actually see the time machine chamber, which is a nice touch, but having the older terminator destroy the 1984 version?! The only thing I liked about the plot was the twist of John Connor being the villain.

2) The cameos-The only cameos in the movie were only 10 and 20 minutes each. And each one was a character from the first two Terminator films: The original t-800 from the first film, and the T-1000 from T2, but each was destroyed soon after showing up. SO POINTLESS

3) The Characters-The only character I liked was the good old T-800 Arnold. He still has what it takes to be an emotionless machine. The others, weren't all that great.

4) This is the last thing, but what the heck did they do to Skynet? They turned it into an operating system accessible from smartphones, tablets, and computers, and it was called Genesys, not Skynet. And it wasn't even a military created system. How could this operating system cause Judgement Day?

I just didn't really like this movie. This movie was all over the place. And it crapped on the original Terminator films.

Terminator Genesys...you are TERMINATED!!!!

Sonic at his funniest
12 February 2017
I really like this show. This show makes me laugh out loud whenever the jokes hit home, and there are a lot of them. I have a few pros, and one con actually.

Pros: Jaleel White as Sonic. I love Jaleel White as the voice of Sonic. He makes Sonic this sassy, cocky, and wisecracking smart mouth who never really seems to take full attention to whatever is in his way.

The backgrounds clearly look like matte paintings, and they are beautiful.

Con: Coconuts is a very annoying character to me. I can't STAND him in whatever episodes he's a main character of.

So, all in all, if your looking for some great laughs, this is the show for you.

Noah in Name Only
10 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
When I first heard about this movie, I was like "A movie based on the biblical story of Noah? Sure! Sign me up!"

But, what I got instead was an eye sore.

What was this? I understand taking artistic liberty for something that has not a lot of meat at its core, but holy crap, who said they could butcher that source material.

This movie confounded me in quite a few aspects. One, Noah's sons in the Bible also had families before the flood happened so that humanity could regrow and flourish once again, but in this movie, that is NEVER touched upon, well, except for a daughter they adopted, who couldn't have kids for some reason..?

Also, one seed could plant a huge forest with also running water and life from just one seed? That really confused me.

I have never seen a movie where I just loathed every character, except for Anthony Hopkins' Methuselah. Even Noah himself was unlikable, and he is played by Russell Crowe, who I really like as an actor.

Two last things about this movie

1) The flood effects were terrible. The flood came from geysers in the movie? In the Bible, the planet destroying flood came from the very first rain the planet has ever seen. That was definitely changed, not artistic liberty,

2) This is the last thing, but... Fallen angels who have been cursed by being turned to stone golems or whatever helped Noah build the ark...? That was extremely strange...

All in all, if your a Christian, do yourself a favor and skip this movie. Not worth it. IF your an Agnostic or any other religion, or even atheist, don't go see it anyway.

A spectacle of failure
10 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Backstory: In 2005, I heard of a show on Nickelodeon called "Avatar: The Last Airbender." I saw the opening episode of this show, and I was immediately hooked on it, but I was only able to catch whatever episodes I could see, and those episodes never disappointed. And I was blown away by the series finale, Sozin's Comet.

When I heard they were making a movie based on the show, I was excited for it. The trailers made it look like it caught the spirit of the show. Unfortunately, it did not.

I hated this movie. Like, HATED!!!! It destroyed the mysticism, the fun, the comedy, the drama, and the adventure of the show! Now, let me get into what I feel are the most absolute WORST parts of this movie.

1) Too much narration: By this, I mean Water bender #1 (Not using the name Katara) was basically used as an exposition vessel. I know exposition is necessary in order to keep the audience about plot and story elements (No pun intended), but this movie was just overbearing in this exposition.

2) Aang is not Aang: This was the most criminal thing in this movie, and that's saying something. In the show, Aang was this fun loving, light-hearted, knucklehead Airbender who became serious when the situation required it, or when he was in a major battle. Aang (in this movie) was a total downer and had no fun in him whatsoever. HE Didn't EVEN WANT TO BE THE FREAKING AVATAR!!! I know Aang in the show was reluctant, but at least he embraced it after the Southern Air temple.

3) Where was the duel between Water Bender #1 and Fire Bender #1 (Not using Zuko): That was pathetic. Also, The Northern Water Tribe didn't even look remotely like it was being bombarded by Zhao and the Fire benders.

One other thing... What the HECK was up with the Earth Bender prison?! The prison in the show was metal for obvious reasons.

Sorry this was long, but, I had to vent my anger on this movie.

Please... don ever watch this if your a fan, and even if you are not a fan, you won't like it either because it has a crappy story, terrible characters, green screen, and cinematography.

What is this?
13 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Where oh where do I begin with this piece of trite? Let's start with the romantic subplot. This subplot is as forced and shoehorned in as a TV episode trying to teach a moral, but the moral is just there for the last 2 minutes of the episode. Paul Blart's "love interest" this time is a woman named Divina and she already has a boyfriend, so they portray her as emotionally conflicted? WHAT?!

That brings us to the characters. Oh boy, the characters. Let's talk about the character of Paul Blart. In the first movie, I enjoyed him as a sympathetic character who ended up in the right place at the wrong time, and he had to singlehandedly save his mall, and he got the girl, but in this one, he is just stupid, clumsy, lame, and a bit of a jerk to his daughter. He's also a little self-centered. His daughter is the sympathetic character here, as her father is just way too overprotective of her.

Now, on to the villains. The character of Vincent is actually one of the only two characters in the movie I actually enjoyed watching in this piece of crap movie. I like his plan about stealing artwork from the hotel he and his goons are staying at and replacing them with priceless fakes.

For a comedy, I didn't laugh out loud for any scene except maybe one or two. The only one I truly laughed out loud to is the scene where Paul Blart is on the Segway and he gets hit by the car and then he says, "Heh, still got it." For a comedy movie, that is just a terrible sin to commit to being so unfunny and lame. Oh, one of the most UN-funny scenes to me was a scene in which Paul Blart fights/wrestles with an exotic bird as this pianist keeps playing throughout the whole "fight."

OMG, the way Paul Blart actually defeats the villains was incredibly lame. He gets all these quote unquote "nonlethal security weapons" such as a beanbag cannon, and a gun that shoots knockout gas, idk, at this "security cop convention", yeah, like those exist…

Although to be fair, I did enjoy the design of the segway Paul Blart gets near the end of the movie, but it's only on screen for like, 5 minutes so it's nothing but a wasted device. Such a shame.

All in all, I absolutely HATED this movie with a passion. I can't believe I listened to the trailers in believing this movie was good! I do not recommend this movie to ANYONE. This movie, unlike the first one, is not to m=be taken as a guilty pleasure movie, and this movie isn't a "so bad it's good, it's so bad it's bad"

And also, who was asking for this movie? Again, DO NOT see this movie.

Phineas and Ferb (2007–2024)
10/10
104 Days of Summer Vacation
12 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Phineas and Ferb is one of those shows that, even though its marketed to kids, it has pulled me into its charm and wit as well, much like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic or even Avatar: The Last Airbender.

One of my favorite episodes is the episode where Phineas and Ferb try to cure Isabella of her hiccups in a Halloween type fashion, accompanied by an excellent musical number.

I love all the main characters, Dr. Doofenshmirtz in particular. Shmirtz is a very funny, clumsy, and very well liked character. and I love an evil character who can be likable.

I also like, surprisingly, the episode where Ferb and Phineas get busted. In the end, it turns out some Inception crap is going on as Candace's dream is in fact within (the words of Dr. Doofenshmirtz: "PERRY THE PLATYPUS's") dream.

Stay Away
12 October 2015
To be honest, I have completely forgotten about this movie, in two ways, I forgot what it was about, and that it even exists.

Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd is a sad excuse to cash in on the very highly successful and well liked Dumb and Dumber.

I applaud Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey for not appearing or even involving themselves with this movie in the slightest sense.

This is one movie I liked the first time I saw it, and then when I watched it again, it was so stupid, and I have never watched it again, in effect, I have only watched this movie exactly twice, and that is far too many. heck, even one viewing is far too many viewing.

Paul Blart is a decent movie
21 September 2015
I'm not one of those critics who blast movies out of proportion and out of context. This movie is a movie in which I can have a good laugh at how cheesy, stupid, and bad this movie is.

For this review, I will be talking mainly about the acting, characters, and the comedy.

1) The characters- For one, the characters aren't all that bad. The character of Paul Blart to me if a lovable, goofy, and funny character who should be a sympathetic character. HIs daughter, on the other hand, is just plain annoying in this movie. This character got on my nerves, but that's just what the actress worked with. The love interest is also kind of an airhead and the romantic subplot is think is just shoehorned in this movie.

2) The Acting- The Acting was okay for the most part. The guy who plays the new guy, Vec Simms, he does well as well as the main star, Kevin James. Kevin James is a funny and goofy comedian who can make me laugh no matter what he's in.

3) The comedy- To be honest, the comedy in this movie is a little bit lame, but still, it makes me laugh at loud in several places, and when it does work, it works well.

All in all, I consider this movie a guilty pleasure movie, and when I want some mindless comedy, Ill watch this.

A disgrace to the Author and to Movies
28 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Man oh man, where do I even start with this abomination of the classic, and well beloved source material?

Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat book holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite children's books, so when I heard they were making a movie on it, I was so excited for it, but then my hopes when right down the drain when I actually started watching the film.

The character of the Cat was unbelievably annoying, and he was also pretty rude and selfish. For example, when Sally wants to make cupcakes, the cat makes like a studio and the kids watch the cat do the cooking. That's selfish.

The kids were a little bit more bearable, but I still didn't really enjoy much about them. They were so unlikable in the beginning, but at least they redeemed themselves at the movies end, and Spencer Breslin and Dakota Fanning portray that serious moment pretty well.

And also, what was the point of having the Cat being the narrator for the movie at the end of the movie? That was so absurdly wrong, annoying, and overall a huge slap in the face to the original book!

Stay far FAR away from this atrocity upon the masses!

Drunkenness is not a pretty sight.
28 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I am probably in the vast minority of this movie's fans by claiming I did not like this movie one bit! And Im standing firm with that belief.

To start off, I was forced to watch this movie with my family soon after it came out on DVD, and it didn't really hold my attention for very long before I started to do other things, anyways, onto the review itself!

To be fair, there was a few things in this movie I enjoyed. For one, I enjoyed the performances of the cast, no complaint there, I liked the set up for the movie, and the cameo by Mike Tyson was indeed hilarious, but thats where my enjoyment of this movie ends.

I can't really remember much about this movie, except for the fact I didn't enjoy it, it was lame, stupid, and pretty much went right over my head, and I thought the idea with the guy they were looking for was on the roof the whole time, was just plain idiotic.

All in all, I didn't really hate the movie, I just didn't like it either, and 3 stars for the performances and set ups, and the cameo of Mike Tyson.

Funniest Jim Carrey movie I have seen EVER!!!
17 January 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Yep, this movie beats out Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, and How the Grinch stole Christmas!

I LOVE this movie! I have watched it already at least four time sin three days!

Plot summary: Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey), is down on his luck, when he gets a mysterious call on his pager, so he goes to a building, and meets God (Morgan Freeman) face to face, and God gives Bruce all of his powers.

I like the message of this movie. It's a story of not complaining about God, and to have faith in him!

I kept laughing out loud at this movie, especially at the part where Bruce is looking through prayers and he has over 3,000,000, and he says "What a bunch of whiners!" and the part where he makes Evan embarrass himself! I couldn't stop laughing!

All in all, it's an incredible movie! I recommend seeing it!

"After doing some research" I found out this show is HORRIBLE!!!!!
15 January 2013
And to think I liked this show... LIKED! Boy I was wrong! couple of things...

1) He was BORING!!!!

Oh my gosh, I have never seen any body in any video be this boring... I can understand if people are inexperienced in front of a camera and trying things out and they be boring, but this guy, UGH! Now I know where you people are coming from! His voice is so monotone!

2) The GOD AWFUL ACTING!!!

And before you criticize me of calling him a bad actor, I have a bunch of acting experience, limited in front of a camera, but I have stage acting! And boy, talk about bad movies having bad acting! This guy is HORRENDOUS!!! He can't convince me any longer that he's good!

3) NOT A GAMER!!!

I know you people have gone this way, but, let me give my thing about gaming! I have played video games basically my entire life! Hard games, easy games, difficult games, etc... but when this guy complains about how hard a game is when I could probably beat it in about a day.

4) These aren't reviews...

These are infomercials! The fact he complains a game is hard when it's not, he destroys the games afterward, and he gives them the finger after he shreds them, just proves these are infomercials!

5) TOTALLY UNENTERTAINING!!!

Originally, I would watch his videos with not a care in the world, but then... I read reviews on this site...

Blood soaked horror
15 January 2013
Never before have I seen a movie this scary! Even Predator isn't THIS scary!

Alien is one of those films that creep me out, shock me, horrify me, give me nightmares! Every time it goes dark, I always fear that the Xenomorphs will get me

ALien is one of those movies that stands the tests of time, durability, and popularity!

34 years after this movie was originally made, this movie in 2013, is still the greatest and blood soaked horrific movie I have ever seen in my life!

Sonic X (2003–2006)
2/10
Goodbye sanity
12 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
First review on IMDb.

Sonic the Hedgehog, a name that I grew up with from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the Nintendo Gamecube when I played it for the first time ever eight years ago in 2002, and I have played most of his mainstream and spin off games ever since.

I have also read the comics, and boy are they deep...

I have also seen animated series, from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog to Sonic Underground, but, I'm not here to review them right yet. No, I'm here to review Sonic X, the latest and final animated series of Sonic the Hedgehog, and for good reason.

1) The music-The music was fine, although the theme music did kinda get annoying after a while.

2) The animation-Eh, it was fair in some places, but other times it wasn't. Like, for example, I couldn't tell if the ARK was already heading for earth during Shadow and Sonic's fight on the conveyor belts (WTH?!) because the camera moved too much!

3) The voice acting-It was BUTCHERED!!! Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Sonic didn't sound like that in the games! Although Eggman sounds pretty good, not enough though!

4) The characters-We got all the main stars (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, etc..) but why the H3!! did any body think that putting so MANY GOSH DARN HUMANS IN THIS?? I mean, yeah, humans are present in the Sonic series, but they don't have that big of a role and are barely there!

5) Chris mother****ing Thorndyke-Yeah, he gets his own special "cell." Okay, where do I begin? Chris is what I call...an unnecessary load of baggage! Because, think about it, he turns the main cast into the background characters! All except Sonic, and he basically steals everybody's thunder! He comforts Shadow in the ARK, HE's basically Sonic's sidekick, and I hear that he was...gay? OKay..weird...anyways, Chris is what makes this series TOTALLY unwatchable!

The fights were the only good part and the Super Sonic transformations!

Basically, you people are better off watching the original three, reading the comics, and playing the video games!

An ABSOLUTE atrocity to the legendary Batman franchise
25 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Oh boy... where do I begin...?

Okay, Batman is one of my all time favorite franchises, granted I've only played video games, and I have seen the Christopher Nolan trilogy, all very incredible films.

Batman and Robin, on the other hand, is an ABSOLUTE atrocity to the Batman franchise. Let me explain something about this movie to you guys bit by bit.

1) The colors-Oh my goodness, the colors...all the neon hues, and junk like that...just mind numbingly bad. Thank the ever loving Lord I don't get seizures every time I see bright, vibrant and flashing colors.

2) The music-This is one of the worst aspects of this "movie" (term applied loosely). Granted, I haven't seen much of the movie, just bits and pieces, but the music is GOD awful.

3) The script-What the H3!! was with the stinking one liners?

4) The costumes, sets, and characters-Okay, I have one small criticism for Batman...WHAT THE F***ING $H!T was with the Bat nipples? I mean, COME ON!! Oh my gosh...

4a.) The sets were...okay...I guess...not anything too exciting...The ice looked so fake...

4b.) Okay, Ahnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze...one of my all time favorite actors playing one of my all time favorite BAtman villains, and he butchered MR Freeze's character. And Ahnold has some of the greatest roles known to man (Dutch in Predator and T-800 in Terminator). George Clooney wasn't convincing as Batman or Bruce Wayne.

Just stay away from this movie!

Predator (1987)

The Predator is watching and waiting for you
25 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Alas, Predator...just the name alone will strike fear into the hearts of men wandering in jungles. And that's exactly what it does in this movie.

I have so many compliments and praises for this movie.

1) The story-The story is very interesting as it begins with a ship in earth orbit, launching something to the planet, which obviously is the Predator, then Dutch's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) team is commissioned a top secret liberation of a camp in the jungle, but then end up being hunted and killed one by one bye the Predator until only Dutch is left.

2) The suspense-Oh yeah, what is going to happen next? When will it happen? How will they die? The suspense is everywhere once Hawkins gets killed.

3) The special effects-The plasma caster, the camouflage of the Predator, and the self destruction of the Predator.

Anyways, I highly recommend watching this movie! It gets a 10/10, or in my personal scale, 1,000,000/10!

Batman Begins (2005)

Wicked movie
10 October 2012
My third favorite of the Christopher Nolan Batman series.

I love how the storyline was developed, and I love how the movie centered on fear.

I want to name a few key points I loved about this movie.

1) Scarecrow-My favorite villain next to The Riddler and The Joker. I love how they included him in the movie and how he was a major character in this movie.

2) Liam Neeson-Haven't seen him in a few years since I watched him as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. He plays an excellent main antagonist of the movie, and I love how they developed his character(s).

3) The fact that Bruce Wayne is helped out by Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) and Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine) in becoming Batman.

Overall, I really recommend this movie if someone wants some good ol' Batman action.

PS-Only thing I didn't like about this movie, was that Victor Zsasz only has a small amount of screen time.

What the garbage?
10 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler alert just for the sake of this review

I normally don't hate or dislike a kid's movie, because, honestly, some kids' movies are incredible to watch, like, Road to El Dorado, or, Aladdin, or, some other awesome kids' movies, but this one I on't have anything except two good things to say.

Pros: Jaleel White, incredibly talented in anything he is in, and Heather Graham, also talented. Two of my favorite actors.

Cons: Everything else.

The thrill point system was an interesting concept, but all in all, it just didn't play out in the end. I can make my own thrill points without even having to do a chart.

Now, I normally don't get a headache from bright and vibrant colors, but I got a hue @$$ one when I saw how the colors were arrange in the movie. Oh my GOSH!

One thing I thing I didn't get was how the Bigfoot storyline came into play! That is just the weirdest thing in the movie!

I actually wanted to see this movie because of the trailers I saw and how cool it looked to see Judy Moody, a famous kid book series character, come to life on the big screen, and I had hi hopes for this, but..now that I look back after reading other reviews, those hopes went right down the drain.

See this movie, just because of Jaleel White or Heather Graham. They make this movie somewhat bearable!

The Matrix (1999)
10/10
Welcome to the real world, Neo
9 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Where do I begin with this review of my favorite all time philosophical, action, sci-fi movie of all time? This movie is a amazingly awesome! Let me give a few pointers...

1) THE MUSIC-How can the music is any other movie be as good as this movie's?

2) The Action-Holy crap this movie has awesome action scenes in it! One during Neo's fight with Smith in the subway, Neo saving Morpheus and then Trinity from the helicopter crash? How can anything top this?

3) The Philosophical elements-I'm not one to focus heavily on philosophy, but this movie has it sprinkled in the storyline, and they don't get shoved down our throats. Like, Morpheus saying "And I'll show you how far the rabbit hole really goes." The Matrix itself is also a type of philosophical element. Even when Neo becomes the one, that's from Plato's "The Allegory of the Cave" from The Republic.

4) Bullet Time-an extraordinary technique and it works perfectly in the movie! Neo dodging the Agent's bullets and the fight in the hotel lobby!

I can't really continue on this review any longer, I have this to say...I dare anyone to find and watch a movie that can possibly top this movie, heck, this whole trilogy.

I freaking dare anyone to this!

Only 2 good things in this pile of junk
8 October 2012
Okay, I have to be honest here, when I first saw this movie...I was a short lived Fred fan, only because of iCarly. Now, looking back, holy crap is this confusing!

Okay, there were two good things about this movie, and they are as follows...

1) John Cena is in it, and he delivers the worst line I have ever heard... But still, he made this bearable to a point...

2) Uh...completely forgot what this crap is!

That settles it! I can't remember that stinking second thing that I said was good in the movie!

*sigh* Now I regret watching it...TWICE!! I watched it twice... *sob*

Okay...stay away form this movie at all costs...You'll regret it...

Don't watch the sequels either. I haven't, but I'm glad I didn't!

So, goodbye!

Drake & Josh (2004–2007)
9/10
The Nick show that changed my life
8 October 2012
Drake & Josh, just the name itself giving you a heart warmed feeling about these two goof balls!

I have a few compliments for this show from my point of view.

They are as follows:

1) Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, played by the hilarious Drake Bell and Josh Peck, are absolutely dimwitted in a good, belly laughing type way!

2) The music of some episodes, is just, awesome! I even liked the fact one episode even had Drake play the theme song in it!

3) The comedic timing of the characters is just, quote unquote from Inspector Gadget, "Wowzers!"

I could go on with this list, but I don't think I should!

One of the show's episodes, just gets me laughing so hard it splits my sides! Okay, TWO episodes.

It makes me feel like a child doing pranks again when I see Megan's pranks on the Drake and Josh dynamic duo!

All in all, I give this show an ultra, shiny, and brilliantly rare 10 out of 10.

PS-IF you watch any live action show, I recommend The Amanda Show or Drake and Josh!

Peace out!
