Quite possibly the worst movie ever with a man in it. Everything about this film, from the lazy, unimaginative script to the perfunctory performances, lead one to the inevitable conclusion that everyone involved in the making of it should be locked up and shouted at.

It's a movie with a message (ah how sweet) and that message seems to be something to do with not complaining about your lot in life, but just accepting that maybe failure, poverty, sickness or whatever stands between you and a better life is simply what 'god', in his infinite wisdom, has in mind for you. For example, as Carrey's life falls apart, Anniston comforts him with a nauseating, "Gee Bruce, you know everything happens for a reason". Infant mortality, car crashes, unwanted teenage pregnancy, war and race prejudice don't happen for a reason, at least not a satisfactory one, and neither, it seems, did the making of this movie.

But apart from that I really enjoyed it.
