The Good Wife (2009)
Excellent showcase
I'm a great admirer of your show and think that the storyline and characters are beautifully composed. Not only does one actually care about what happens to them (the characters), but the plot weaving is quite genius. The story's progression from season one when we first meet the main cast to the current season four has not just been seamless, but is brilliantly consistent. Also, these people (Will, Alicia, Diane, Peter, Eli, Kalinda etc) could very well be real life people discussing real life/legal issues. Finally, the chemistry between Will and Alicia is simply sublime. Overall, The Good Wife is quite addictive, and I can't wait to see more of it. Thanks for doing your thing so well!
Brothers on the Line (2012)
Brothers On The Line
I have watched this most inspirational and important documentary several times now, and at every sitting, I have noticed something new and fascinating that had never struck me before. It only serves to show the versatility of this film and its successful marriage of archival footage with current-day clips. The pacing and music were excellent, but most riveting is the story line itself. It offers a unique historical perspective on the country's labor movement, its triumphs and troubles, while shedding a contemplative light on the labor movement in general today. It also left me thinking and wishing that labor leaders were viewed in a more heroic light - given their ultimate sacrifice and dedication to the cause of social justice. Brothers On The Line was truly enjoyable and incredibly exhilarating.
